COMBEJOLIE is pretty cottage with private garden and swimming pool, in the heart of the black Perigord, two steps from the Dordogne river.

Nestled in the countryside, in a picturesque hamlet of stone houses, it is the ideal place to spend your holidays in the heart of the Dordogne Golden Triangle.

The house, ideally suited for a couple or a small family with chidlren.

The garden is all fenced and the house is pet friendly

The house consists on the ground floor of:
- A large living room with fireplace, comfortable sofas, and dining area;
- A open plan kitchen equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine....
- A master bedroom with a double bed and cupboards
- Separate toilet
- The two other bedrooms, both with two single beds and cupboards, are set at the first floor. A travel cot, with a good quality mattres, can accomodate a baby.
- The shower room, with a large cabin unit and a washbasin, has been newly re-fitted.
- Separate toilet on the 1st floor too.

Outdoor Description

- A covered terrace with a lovely view over the garden, equipped with table and chairs for you to enjoy your meals.
- A terrace at the other side of the house, with a view over the hillside, equipped with a built in barbecue.
- Private swimming pool, 10m x 5m, secured by an alarm. It has sun loungers and parasols for your comfort.
- A grassy garden of approx 1000m², all fenced, with plenty of space for the children to play, and shady areas for relaxing under the mature trees.

Dark and a bit dated but with nice outside space.

The house was extremely dark and poorly lit. We had to bring all of the bedside lamps down from upstairs just to be able to see while cooking in the kitchen (even during the day). The furnishings and decor are very tired and dated. The bed in the master bedroom was very creaky and saggy. The garden is very nice and the outside space generally good, but the pool doesn't have a useable roll-on-roll-off cover so it wasn't possible to cover it at night and it was very very cold even on the few hot days. The two sunloungers that were available were both cracked which made them difficult to use. The location is great and it would have probably been a better stay if we hadn't had such terrible weather and been forced to stay inside as much as we were. But in poor weather we were confined to a dark and not very comfort space. A disappointment and not worth the money we were charged.

In need of TLC

House outside is okay. The beam to upstairs window is rotting away. Pool is great as is the terrace. House inside needs total renovation. Needs thorough cleaning . The cleaning equipment as well. Mould in the shower should be removed. Light above bathroom mirror broken. Hooks which don’t fall down after half an hour in the bathroom are required. New crockery and cutlery are required. Kitchen tools eg knives are also needed. TV with English or German channels would be welcome.
