Point Cross Estates: 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Villa
Welcome to this luxurious 3-bedroom ocean side, vacation home on 7-acres overlooking a beach. Located 5 minutes from Cheticamp, with easy access to Cape Breton National Park, the Skyline Trail, Celtic music, whale watching tours, restaurants, groceries and great golf - Le Portage and Cabot Cliffs golf courses are 10- and 30 minute drives.
If enjoying Cape Breton’s natural beauty in comfort and style is important, then you have come to the right place.
This neatly designed vacation home offers ocean views from every room and is packed full of amenities including an open concept living area, fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and island, Wi-Fi, smart TV, a master bedroom with a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom, and a washer & dryer. Outside you will find a spacious sundeck with chairs, a BBQ, a massive private lawn and a 240-volt outlet for EV charging.
While guests can enjoy panoramic views of the ocean from our lookout deck, it is currently not possible to access the stone beach below our embankment.
Please note the following before booking:
1. HOUSE RULES: No pets, parties, events, smoking, fires or cooking fish, shellfish or other strong-odor foods indoors is permitted. Quiet time begins at 10 pm.
2. AGE RESTRICTION: For safety and other reasons, children must be 8 years or older to stay
3. HOME SHARING -- We are happy to host a family of up to 6 guests or 2 couples, but the property may not be shared by more than 4 adults without manager approval. Extra guest fees apply for 5th and 6th guest.
4. BEACH ACCESS - Accessing the beach below the embankment is not possible due to irreparable damage by Hurricane Fiona. Guests attempting to climb down the embankment do so at own risk.
5. EV CHARGING - The unit has a 240 Volt, 50-amp outlet for EV charging, but guests should bring their own charging cable and adapter (NEMA 14-50 / RV plug). See photo in gallery. Charging fees apply.
6. ATVs - We unfortunately cannot accommodate guests arriving by ATVs / side-by-sides.
7. This property may be sold to another professional host during the next month. If so guests will be asked to rebook with new host, but will receive a $100 inconvenience payment under such scenario.

Things To Do Near Us:
1. Hike the famous Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Enjoy dramatic headland cliffs overlooking the rugged coast from the end of this level trail. You can enjoy an eagle`s view of the Cabot Trail as it winds its way down the mountain.
2. Enjoy whale watching and coastal tours offered by local operators. Watch for whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence from the viewing decks. Moose, bald eagles, bears and numerous boreal birds live here.
3. Enjoy live Celtic and Fiddle music at the Doryman Pub and Grill and Le Gabriel restaurants (just 10 min away).
4. Le Portage 18-Hole Golf Course. Tee off beneath the Cape Breton Highlands.
5. Museum/Gallery/Cultural Center -- At Les Trois Pignons heritage center you can dive into Acadian culture and the history of Chéticamp, view an impressive collection of tapestries, rare hook rugs and antiques. There is also a genealogy resource center.
6. Hike to the swimming hole at the Cheticamp Gypsum quarry. This is a short hike on an established trail/ ATV track that leads you to a beautiful, secret swimming spot near Cheticamp.
7. Swimming at Cheticamp Island beach or Whale Cove beach, located 5 and 15 minutes away by car. - Guests wishing to cook lobster, crab or other fish must do so outside on the barbeque using a grill or boilers. Cooking fish inside will result in forfeiture of damage deposit and fines of $500 or more.
- Guests acknowledge that this is a large 7 acre, largely unlandscaped property with an embankment. Climbing down the embankment is difficult, not advisable and at guests own risk.
- Guests must keep noise levels to within reasonable levels in order to preserve our good relations with our neighbours.
-- Sharing of the property by 3 couples or more than four adults is not permitted. Some exceptions apply.
--We cannot accommodate guests arriving by ATVs / side-by-sides.

This is one of the best homes we've rented, as it is very well equipped and extremely clean. It's location is ideal for hiking as well as shopping and restaurants. Check in process is simple and communication with host was always prompt. We would definitely stay again!
Fantastic place to stay. Clean, bright and equipped well for a great stay near Chéticamp. The view is stunning and lots of privacy and quiet. Everything was perfect and we will book again.
This experience was Heavenly !! The host is wonderful and the home is simply perfection . The land is so beautiful , private and peaceful with an amazing view of the ocean .
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cross Point. The scenery was spectacular from the back deck. Michael was an outstanding host keeping us informed throughout our stay. The property was very clean, organized, and up to date.
We had a wonderful stay at this house and recommend it highly to others thinking of staying here. There is a sweeping and outstanding view of the water from the house, and the sunsets in particular were magnificent! The house was comfortable and very clean, and the overall location is convenient to the restaurants and shops of Cheticamp and for exploring the Cabot trail.
My family and I really enjoyed our time here. The place was clean, spacious, loaded with every amenity, and had an ocean view to die for. We felt very peaceful here. The host, Michael, was kind and helpful. The location was a perfect launch point for our Cabot trail adventures. We’d love to come back here again.
We throughly enjoyed our time in this lovely house. The walk down to the look out and ocean views were incredible. Very quiet area with complete privacy and more than enough space for our family of 4. We made most of our meals in the comfortable kitchen and outdoor grill and it was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. I have already recommended Micheal’s properties to friends of ours that are planning a trip to Cape Breton.
Great place to stay in Cape Breton!The view from the decks is beautiful, especially at sunset. The villa is very clean, well equipped, and comfortable. It’s accessible to the Cape Breton Highlands Park, grocery stores, and beaches. Michael is very attentive to the enjoyment and comfort of his guests. Communication with him is easy and very helpful. We highly recommend this villa.
This house was perfect for our group of 2 senior couples. Wonderful views of the Gulf, great location and superb house layout, amenities and support from our host Michael.
The property has wonderful views of the sunset and was pleasantly private and peaceful. There was a large parking area to accommodate more than one vehicle, and the yard was well maintained. The home was immaculate, and very well stocked with all one would need.Michael was very accommodating with recommendations of places to eat and things to do. We definitely give 5 stars and hope to return in the future.
We really enjoyed staying in this 3 bedroom bungalow in Cape Breton. Beautiful grounds overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence, easy access to Cheticamp and the National Park. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening from the back patio.
