The PEARL is situated on Oyster Lake with sweeping views on two sides of the expansive dune lake with all of its wild life and reflective beauty of the sunsets. In addition, we are just across the street from the public access of Dune Allen Beach with THE BEAUTIFUL WHITE SUGAR SAND and EMERALD clear water. It is hard to find a beach more beautiful than this one! Our home was built in 2005 and we purchased it in 2017 and REMODELED it to feature a coastal rustic design. We want to be the most comfortable and beautiful space you can find to spend your precious vacation time. We have a community POOL to cool down after the beach day. And a well equipped Kitchen if you choose to cook yourself rather than visit the numerous local restaurants nearby. We have memory foam beds and beautiful linens to enhance your cozy bedroom. Plush towels to bathe in the spa baths. We have large internet capable televisions in each room. The living room boasts a cocktail GAME COUNSEL with 60 nostalgic games to entertain you and your family. The large back deck overlooking the beautiful nature preserve with its comfy adirondack bar chairs gives you the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset or lull you into total relaxation. Location is excellent and the beach is just across the street!

Clean, we had trouble with the microwave/convection oven and there is no regular oven in either unit which makes it hard to make certain foods ie: baked goods. We used our own slow cookers and took a electric griddle. Overall the location was awesome, near restaurants and stores and beach. Plenty of beach chairs too.

September Vacation

Overall we enjoyed our stay. There were some some small issues in the house the first couple of days but nothing that hampered our vacation. It was nice having the two separate units. The view of the lake from the upstairs unit was nice to wake up to. Both units were well equipped-from kitchen utensils to bedding to beach towels, nice beach chairs, and coolers. Really anything that you needed. The proximity to the beach was amazing. The only issue with the beach was figuring out where we were "allowed" to sit. It is not a very big area but we always had plenty of room since it was off season. The beach was beautiful. Our favorite restaurants were Blue Mabel for brunch and happy hour and The Donut Hole. We hope to come back soon.

Nice Stay

The location of the property is nice. The area itself is a small beach town, not a ton to do, but if you drive 20-30 minutes in either direction, there are more restaurants and things to do. Destin is about 30 minutes away so we were able to rent a boat and visit Crab Island and check the area out there. The beach is beautiful and the house is right across the street from the public access, however the area you are allowed to use is small since most of the homes on the beach own the beach fronts and you cannot trespass. There are guards on the beach that tell you where you are allowed to set up. Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, a small shed full of beach chairs and floats to use. House could have been a tad bit cleaner but it’s a cleaning service that comes, so the owner probably doesn’t get a chance to review the cleanliness often. The microwave did not work in the upstairs unit, but we let the owner know and just used the microwave in the lower unit since our friends were staying there. Owner was quick to respond about the microwave, but had to contact Samsung for a repair. Overall it was a good stay.

Great Location

Our family loves this property. This is the third year we have stayed in the top and bottom floor. Both units have all you need for a comfortable stay. The pool is just outside the house. The beach is just across the street. There is plenty of parking for the units. The views of the lake from the property are serine in the morning and evening. This is our fourth year staying in the area. We stayed in a different house last year and the family insisted on going back to The Pearl. All you need to bring are your clothes. The units provides everything you need for the beach except sunscreen,

we had a great time here. Had a little trouble with one of the air conditioner, but the owner was easy to get a hold of and had someone come out and fix it. Beautiful place.

Growing up in Minnesota did not afford many Beach vacations so having this beach home is truly priceless! We wanted to to retire with a beach house and a cabin in the mountains. We now have accomplished this! We are young enough to want to travel in our motorhome so we are sharing our homes!
We are expecting our 7th Grandchild and we love spending time with all of them. Unfortunately, that involves traveling to Washington or Connecticut! We typically fly and stay a couple of weeks at each home when we go!

Why they chose this property

We visited this area first because our very good friends grew up here. We found the EMERALD waters and all the beautiful neighborhoods and amenities to support them so appealing!
We found this area irresistible and found this duplex on the lake and spent the next 4 months making it ours!
We are very pleased to make our home very thoughtful for anything you may want to do on vacation! Our home is well equipped with everything new and we are near entertainment for when you want to explore the area. We hope you will enjoy and care for our home as you would your own. We want to be your destination for many years!
