Saumur Centre Ville

We had a wonderful stay at Patrick’s apartment in Saumur overlooking one of the main quartier. Advised that this apartment is on the fourth floor (3ème étage) at the top of a windy wooden staircase. Nothing out of the ordinary for a French home/building, but not ideal if you tend to pack heavy or are with elderly guests. Furthermore, one of the bedrooms above the dining room is accessed by an another wooden spiral staircase. Karine , the property manager, is an excellent communicator and is quick to respond.Parking at the end of the street is convenient and free.

Séjour agréable dans l'appartement meublé avec bp de goût par le propriétaire. Petit désagrément à l'arrivée en pleine canicule car le réfrigérateur avait été dégivré et pas remis en route et ne fonctionnait pas. Le propriétaire qui nous a joint immédiatement a cherché des solutions de dépannage et le problème a été résolu dans la soirée mais nous avons eu chaud ! Les terrasses de café sont très animées et très bruyantes au pied de l'immeuble et on n'a pas très envie d'ouvrir les fenêtres de la cuisine qui donnent sur une courette pleine de fiente de pigeons. La salle d'eau est probablement en cours de réfection et pas au niveau du reste de l'appartement. Attention, il faut grimper 70 marches pour arriver à l'appartement et l'escalier en colimaçon qui permet d'accéder à la chambre sous les toits nécessite d'être alerte. Sinon je recommande, particulièrement pour le salon clair, spacieux, beau et confortable

Bel appartement, spacieux et joliement meublé. Tout ce qu’il faut pour y vivre. Très bien situé en centre ville, proche du château, de la Loire, des commerces. Seul bémol, la rue un peu bruyante quand les fenêtres sont ouvertes. Je recommande.

Sehr schön eingerichtete Wohnung mit Kunstgegenständen

Mitten in Saumur im 3. Stock (gut für den Kreislauf) eines Jugendstilhauses gelegen. Ideal für 2-4 Erwachsene, großzügige Raumaufteilung, Entree, Bad, Küche, Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer, extra WC, Zentralheizung. Im Dach mit Mini-Wendeltreppe noch ein Schlafzimmer, man kann aber das Sofa im großen Wohnzimmer ausziehen und hat hier nochmals ein Doppelbett, das man mit Tagesdecke abdecken kann. Der große Platz davor ist belebt, auch nachts durch die Kneipen, aber mit geschlossenen Fenstern geht es gut. Direkt daneben beginnt die Altstadt. Bäckerei unten im Haus, Carrefour um die Ecke. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen. Im abgeschlossenen Eingang Abstellmöglichkeit für 2 Fahrräder, kostenfreie Parklätze am Quai der Loire. Auch für rüstige, kunstsinnige Senioren geeignet!

Atmospheric, lively neighbourhood, upper storey

Noisy at night on weekends, somewhat grimy, 2nd bedroom in loft, difficult to access, we used the sofa bed in the lounge instead, which proved to be comfortable, but not ideal. Interesting artefacts, lots of kitchen facilities and fun location.

Very nice apartment and location, but be prepared for climbing stairs

Apartment was great. Large rooms, wifi worked well, nice bathroom and shower, great kitchen. However, on third floor with spiral staircase, so a long flight up and down. Also, a narrow, spiral staircase to second bedroom. Seniors will find these stairs difficult.
