We really enjoyed the location and spent a great Thanksgiving there. The generator came in clutch, as there were storms and it kicked right on twice. The house was stocked and we had everything we needed. The location is amazing and we kayaked and fished all week.
The house was just as it appeared online. It was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family of five. The fishing was great, and the dock was so peaceful. Most importantly, Angela was super communicative! I didn’t have to wait at all for a response to any question! Would definitely stay here again!
Great location, comfy beds and a view to die for! We had perfect weather, so our group of four adults spent the majority of our time enjoying the veranda, back porch and especially the deck over the water. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a more peaceful place. Check-in was easy and our host responded quickly with any issues we had. So sad to leave…would highly recommend.
This is a great home on Pine Island/Caddo. Room for family/friends with direct water access. Great spot for fishing or just enjoying nature. As described and with all the needed amenities. We love this home!
Great place for our family fishing trip. Wide/deep stairs safe for my in-law, large living area with games and toys for the kids, fenced in yard for the dog. Its obvious the owner takes great pride in this home. Thank you for allowing us to spend our Spring Break here.
The area was nice and quiet, the house was clean although dated but everything was functional. The outside was covered in 1in. thick layer of dirt, too much to call dusty.the patio pillows were completely covered in mildew (had to use the inside towels to cover them up so they could be sat in).the boat launch area so dirty it was completely unusable. It would have been nice if the outside entertainment area was power washed (cleaned-tidied up)prior to being rented instead of having an abandoned fill to it

Thank you for your feedback—I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the quiet area and found the home clean and functional.
I also want to address your concerns about the exterior. We do our best to keep everything maintained, but this time of year the pollen can be incredibly heavy and persistent—it often settles quickly and continuously, even right after cleaning. That said, I’m sorry the outdoor areas didn’t meet your expectations, especially the patio setup and boat launch. Your comments are helpful, and I’ll be taking a closer look to make sure those spaces are better refreshed and ready for future guests.
I’d also like to mention that the home has been thoughtfully updated in many areas—kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and flooring—while still preserving some of its original character, which is part of its charm as my childhood home. As evidenced by the pictures in the rental listing.
Thank you again for staying with us (especially during peak pollen season!) and for your honest input—it truly helps us improve.
Best,
Angela
A perfect house and location for a family and their two dogs! Close to all the exciting places that we wanted to see while we were there. The house was superbly furnished with all we needed. Thanks so much for opening your doors to use Angela.
Property is tucked away on back road with beautiful views from dock. House is setup for lot of activities I preferably went for video game system in guest bedroom.
I was here with my husband, daughter and in-laws. We all loved the space, it was beautiful and had so many fun thins for my daughter to do, play with and read.
It was very comfortable and made a long trip easier.
We had a wonderful stay with three days of excellent fishing on a beautiful lake at a lakehouse with its own boat dock and slip for our boat! It was incredibly hot and we were worried that fishing would be off but this lake has so much shade that the fish were still biting. After a HOT day on the lake, it was wonderful to come home to the beautiful, cool lakehouse! We enjoyed grilling hamburgers and eating on the comfortable porch. Our host, Angela, was quick to answer any questions or help if we needed it. Thank you! We will be back!

Great Place
Really enjoyed the house. Well situated on Pine Island Pond with water depths around 5 to 6 feet. (Caddo Lake is at full stage currently). Lots of amenities. Even though the property has a security gate, would have still liked to be able to lock the house when we left. Otherwise, highly recommend,

Rented this place last year for this year! Unpredicted storm came through & knocked power out day before our trip. Property managers found out from us there was no electricity, didn’t offer to bring a generator, didn’t offer a full refund or another visit(IOU). Left a day early cause we couldn’t bear the heat anymore. Beautiful place but will not rent again unfortunately due to atrocious hospitality.

Thanks for your review 3 months post stay. The storm you mention was a horrible storm that impacted lots of individuals making it hard for everyone. You did call several times prior to your visit. Perhaps you thought I was a big company and would forget, but alas I am a small business owner, a single mom running this business to support my family. Each time you called I informed you that we did not have power and advised you to cancel your stay. With so many trees down and the power to so many individuals out, I was concerned at how long the electricity would be down. You turned down the offer to cancel as you had an event down at the lake that you wanted to attend. I do appreciate your passion for Caddo and thus deeply discounted your stay as I knew you would be without power. During this time we, personally, were without power and access to a generator. You are fairly local and were quite aware of the impact of this massive storm. We do hope that you return to enjoy the beauty of Caddo now that the weather has returned to normal.
We stayed at Pine Island Paradise for a week. Unit was very clean, beds extremely comfortable. Had everything we needed in the kitchen (although didn't do much cooking, we used the refrigerator and microwave a lot). Took some great photos from the dock; even if you aren't taking photos it is a great place to relax and enjoy the Fall color. Owner was very responsive for minor problems that cropped up (e.g., internet went out and she followed up with Starlink to make sure it was fixed promptly, which it was). Watched a lot of movies on Netflix which worked well. Convenient to Caddo Lake State Park and boating trips on Caddo Lake. Drove to Marshall to get food at Walmart as that is the closest store with a wide selection of food.
When we come back to Caddo Lake, we definitely want to book this place again!
This place was beautifully furnished and exactly as the pictures show. Our dogs ran and played safely in the fenced yard. The yard was manicured and clean. We even experienced the generator during a thunderstorm and it worked flawlessly. This place is a must for anyone wanting to relax and take it easy. Very family friendly with something for everyone. Will definitely book again.
