Very unique Beautifully Renovated Historic 1840 Downtown Frederick Log Cabin House. There really isn’t anything like this in Frederick. The house is so close to everything downtown. Its about a ten minute walk to the Canal. The holiday season is my wife s favorite time of year in downtown Frederick. The streets are all lit up and looks beautiful. It has all the amenities of a house to live in full-time. I set it up to live in and ended up moving to Hawaii. Everything is brand new outside of the logs for the cabin and the flooring. It is truly beautiful. There are so many things to do in downtown Frederick. There are restaurants and bars working a 10 min walk from the house. I bought the cabin about 4 yrs ago. There were no windows, doors, electrical or plumbing. It was a full renovation to it back to its original beauty with all the modern amenities. It is now a super comfortable place to stay. There is a photo album on the coffee table showing the renovation process. I hope you enjoy the log cabin as much as my family does.

The cabin had historic charm with all the modern amenities! Great location, just steps from downtown. We didnt need our car at all! Danny was a great host!
We thoroughly enjoyed our July 4th weekend stay at the 1840 log cabin in Frederick. The home is a completely renovated and modernized log cabin that was very comfortable to stay in and located in a great location. The home is a short 10-12 minute walk downtown, but in a quiet area that is more relaxed with ample parking, etc... Communication with the host was easy and he was very responsive. The cabin had great A/C and the kitchen was well stocked to include high quality appliances. We highly recommend this VRBO in Frederick!
I’m a frequent visitor to the greater Frederick area meet relatives and friends. This rental was the perfect alternative to the area’s mostly tired and aging hotels. The great location enabled us to get an early walk/run through downtown and Carroll Creek, great food alternatives and a walkable drink at night. Super quiet home with comfortable beds and two separate sleeping areas- just what we needed for 5 adults and 3 separate bedrooms. Highly recommended.
The location is perfect to all that downtown Frederick has to offer. The house is charming and the beds are very comfortable. The host responds very quickly to any questions.
Perfect space for our 3-day stay for a family event. Close to lots of restaurants and parks. We practically walked everywhere. The house was comfortable and well appointed. Everyone had their own space when we had downtime. Bathrooms were clean. Water pressure was great.Host was responsive. We will come back!
This place has it all-character, location, cleanliness and great host communication! The attention to detail caught our eye and made our stay all the more enjoyable. We highly recommend this cabin/host if you’re planning to visit Frederick.
Great house for girls trip to Frederick. Close walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Drivable too. Owner very communicative and accommodating. Stay here!
This is my go-to place to stay in Frederick, where I visit a sister often. It is a historic cabin beautifully renovated, very comfortable and clean and in a to die for location: right downtown, close to the night life and restaurants of Market Street but just far enough way so that the property itself is quiet and peaceful. Love it!
This cabin was easy to find, with off-street parking, and near the beautiful downtown area. I travelled with individuals with disabilities and found the spacious layout very accommodating to our needs. The bathrooms, common room, kitchen, and bedrooms gave it the cabin vibe, were comfortable, and had everything we could possibly need. The host was available for any feedback and I would highly recommend this location for families or friends looking to stay in Frederick.
This house was a great option for my family as we traveled back-and-forth to DC. It was so nice to be able to come home and rest after a long day of sightseeing.
We have stayed at Danny’s property several times over the past 3 years and it is perfect every time. Great host, great communication, and an ideal location
Really amazing use of space. The house is great for checking out the downtown area restaurants or staying in for a meal. It’s laid out well and every detail is excellent, from the decorations to the helpful explanations around the house (like labels on the light switches). It was a great stay!
Easy checkin, all stocked with all the amenities needed. It’s a historic building with great history. The owner Danny does a great job of complementing the history with a touch of modernism. Easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Great stay!

I grew up in Montgomery County Maryland, moved to Frederick in 1999 for about 6 years and fell in love with the small town feel. I lived Southern California for 11 yrs and then moved to Hawaii, but always come back to visit Frederick. My home away from home. Have always loved the historic buildings in Frederick and I love restoring them back to their original beauty for others to enjoy. I was in construction for about 15 yrs and loved the work, but didn't like the long hours. I walked away from construction and have been a full-time network marketer and real estate investor since the early 2000s. I got married in 2017 to an amazing woman and we decided to move to the Dallas area. My wife and I enjoy traveling around the world, exploring new places and learning about different cultures . Life is meant to be lived and have fun with the people you love! I hope you enjoy our unique properties as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
I was going to live in the cabin but moved to Hawaii for a year. This was such a unique place right in the middle of downtown. There is nothing like it. I thought it would be so much fun to bring it back to life and let others enjoy a little bit of history. I grew up in MD and lived in Frederick for about 5 years and fell in love with the city. I always come back to see my family. I am happy that others can enjoy it as my as I do.
What makes this property unique
There are only a few places this cabin in the downtown area. It took a long time to renovate it and and so much extra care to keep a lot of the original parts of the 1840 cabin. It looks beautiful now!!! It’s got 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. One with a stand up huge shower and the other one has a bathtub.
