If there is excess garbage that cannot be placed in the trash cubby, leave in the garage. Please do not leave outside.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Excessive noise, nuisance or serious annoyance which interferes with the quiet enjoyment of owners, residents or neighbors is prohibited (CC&R 7.2).
Special consideration is to be given between the quiet hours of 9pm to 7am.

The view from the living room is amazing. We had three couples stay and the bedrooms were well spaced so every couple had a private space. The kitchen was fully stocked. We used the bbq and the hot tub, both in excellent condition. There’s a short walk to the trail head that took you down to the beach or through the surrounding hills.

yes the host was excellent in responding to our questions. meeting our needs? everything we needed/wanted was in the kitchen. I would only suggest that david up date his list to include the air fryer (we brought one not knowing he had one) and the cofffee pod maker. we expected to make ground coffee -and he had listed a grinder. but we found Keurig pod capability. Actually, this kitchen was so well stocked in terms of dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and even spices - incredible. david needs to make potential guests more aware of the completeness of this kitchen - it was simply unbeleivable!

I would like to say how wonderful this property was. The communication between myself and the owner was phenomenal. He was very responsive to any questions. He was very professional and kind. The home was exactly as advertised. It was clean and plenty of room. The view was spectacular. The kitchen was filled with all the necessities you could think of. I would recommend this property to family and friends. I would definitely rent again.

Great weekend stay!

Great house with ocean views, lovely windows, great amenities. We were a group of middle aged men in for a golf weekend at Bodega Harbour Links and this was the perfect spot for us. Close to the course, and well appointed for our group to cook our own meals and hang out. Host gave us great instructions and things went flawlessly. Hope to do this again next spring!

An excellent House and experience

It is a beautiful house with outstanding views of the ocean. It is in a quiet neighborhood, there was plenty of off street parking and the living areas and bedrooms were very comfortable.

Bodega Retreat

We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. Although I encountered some issues with the VRBO app, Dave was incredibly responsive and quickly provided all the information we needed. Our out-of-town family had plenty of space, and the location offered easy access to both the beach and fantastic hiking opportunities.

Bodega Bay Paradise

This Bodega Bay property was flawless. I had my family out from the east coast and they got a great feel for California coastal living. The layout of the house was excellent with many gathering areas. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Bodega Bay!

I was born and raised in the San Francisco/Bay Area and so being near water is part of my genetic make-up. My family and I love the ocean - sunny, foggy, or rainy; fall, winter, spring or summer. On vacation, we don’t wander too far from a large body of water - usually Hawaii, or, more recently, the Caribbean. Bodega Bay meets all our criteria for the perfect retreat: it is located on the coast but yet is nestled in a quiet protected harbor; it is not too isolated, only a 1/2 hour drive from Petaluma; and it is not a long, hair-raising drive along narrow winding roads (a nightmare for those of us who are graying rapidly). It is close yet far away.

Now, as we wind down our careers and parenting responsibilities, we see this as our dream retreat and getaway - a short 90 minute drive from the San Francisco Bay Area. Being so close to home, it will serve many purposes. We look forward to recharging our minds and bodies hiding away at this beautiful spot on the Coast. This will also be a place where our large extended family can converge to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and holidays. There is something here for everyone - golf, hiking, antique hunting, fishing, and just quiet time.

Why they chose this property

Bodega Harbour boasts beautiful custom homes, but Oyster Catcher is particularly special. It was designed by reknown achitect James McCalligan of Santa Rosa. Known as the Malin Residence, photos may be seen on his website. The unique design maximizes its location with wrap-around windows allowing panoramic coastal and ocean views. There are architectural details throughout the house that make it a joy to be in. It is elegant yet practical. The floor plan is laid out so that large groups are easily accommodated but also privacy and quiet is easily obtained when needed.

What makes this property unique

This home is across the street from the oceanfront homes which are built at a lower level on the cliff and thereby do not to obstruct the views. Access to a sheltered and quiet beach is nearby via the Shorttail Gulch Trail. The home is at the quieter and more private South end of Bodega Harbour and is not on the golf course like many of the other homes available here.
