The host was amazing! She put up a Christmas tree and decorated the house for Christmas. When a power outage caused a delay in our stay, the property manager was quick to call us and provide updates. Would definitely stay here again!
This was such a fun trip. The Owl’s Nest and the host couldn’t have been nicer. In fact, the town of Idaho Springs is probably the nicest town of people I’ve had the pleasure to meet. So many nice shops and the local restaurants are excellent.
The Owl’s Nest was the perfect centrally located place for us to land. It was cute and comfortable, and so nice to be able to walk out the door and walk the town. They did a great job of making a small place feel very room.
This property is lovely, and perfect for anyone looking to explore Idaho Springs. Owners were EXTREMELY responsive and did everything they could to make our stay perfect.
This was the perfect place for us to stay in Idaho Springs. The unit was clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to everything in Idaho Springs. It was a perfect mountain getaway.
The home was perfect for our needs, with a comfortable bed, ample space to relax, and a well stocked kitchen for our quick stay. The town is very fun to explore with tons of shops and restaurants. The ability to walk to the downtown area was ideal. We would definitely rent this house again for future trips
The Owl's Nest was perfectly located in everything in town and was a great place to launch our adventure-filled vacation. The apartment was clean and well-appointed, and we had everything we needed. Our host was pleasant and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.
Comfortable vintage home ideally located near restaurants and bars in old mining town. We had to cut our stay short but look forward to returning to this wonderful place. Endless outdoor fun as well.
Owl’s Nest was a comfortable, clean and convenient location. Owners were helpful and responsive. Just be prepared for steep staircase. Would stay here again.
We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my friends 40th birthday. It was so close to walk to all the breweries and restaurants. The space was comfortable and set up well as we played a lot of games and the beds were amazing and comfortable. Definitely would book again!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this adorable property. Enjoyed having a great spot very close to all the shops and restaurants in town. Property had nice views and was well stocked on basic amenities. Was a great base camp as we explored Idaho Springs and went on several hikes in the surrounding area. Appreciated the hosts responsiveness for any questions as well.
The check in was very easy. The beds and room were bigger then I thought. The jet tub in the master bath was an amazing surprise. Definitely will stay there again.
My husband and 2 kiddos loved the location. It was super easy to get anywhere in town. Walking distance to the main downtown area. House is cute & cozy. Communication was super easy.

We've lived in Colorado's Foothills for nearly 20 years and love it here. We have abundant sunshine, fresh air, unlimited outdoor recreation, and are simply surrounded by beauty.
Why they chose this property
We chose our vacation home in Idaho Springs for many reasons - the area's history is fascinating, and the location can't be beat for accessing all Colorado has to offer. The Owls Next is a unique space, the hand-crafted bunk beds and funky elements make it so fun. It's our children's favorite place to hang out. Our home is 113 years old and is featured in the city's Historic District. The interior has been lovingly updated and we hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
Beat the "ski traffic" that clogs up I-70 in the mornings. Walk to the breweries at night. Curl up with a movie from our collection, or get out and hike a 14er. This home is well suited for all types of travelers.
