Very welcoming host. The house was perfect for our needs and in a great location. The neighborhood was so cute, close to downtown and in a central location making it easy to get around.
We had a great stay at Virginia’s house! The bed was great and the kitchen was fully equipped. I especially liked having such a large grass area for throwing a ball for my dog. Very comfortable furniture and a cheerful decor! Thank you, Virginia!
Beautiful home! All the amenities! Home away from home! Virginia was easy to communicate with and very responsive! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and hope to visit again next year!! Quiet street, quiet neighborhood, lovely backyard. Perfect office area to stay connected with work when needed. Comfortable beds and sitting areas. Love this home!!

Thank you and we appreciate guests like yourself that took such great care of our home during your stay as well, and thanks for bringing the great weather with you!
This was the perfect place to stay for us! It was right in the prime area we were wanting to be! Thank you for letting us stay a week here! I will definitely recommend this to others! Beautiful house and well managed! They were very nice and let us stay an extra night as we needed too! Highly recommend if you plan a trip to Stuart!
Those two things are most important for us, and were spot on with this place. Well maintained and comfortably appointed. Perfect for our weekend visiting family in the area. Love the town of Stuart and took advantage of the location to meet up, eat, and even do morning runs along the river.
Yes we enjoyed it tv was a little difficult to navigate

Thank you so much for your note about enjoying the back porch. We find it a very relaxing space and are happy to know you had a great reunion. Comcast is our only real choice here, and we do agree that their remote control is not intuitive at all. In fact, the button that changes everything is placed right where you would expect the on/off button to be, hence the detailed instructions under the TV. Glad we had some flexibility on your departure available as well, and hope lots of good memories to last.
House was wonderful, very comfortable beds, beautiful back yard where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and coffee in the mornings. Very close to great restaurants and the water. The weekend we were there, the downtown was having the art show downtown! We had a great time and will be back!
The stay and home was great. There was a little hiccup with the key box code, but was quickly corrected. I would definitely stay at this location again.
Location of the house is great!! The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet and yet so close to Sewall’s
Very comfortable and cozy. You feel as if you are a guest in your friend’s home.

Very nice home if maintained properly. Problem with water leaks in bathtub and refrigerator. Mold in one bathroom. Owner responded personally and cleaned. Some type of droppings in kitchen cabinets. Small amount refunded for inconvenience.

We responded within an hour of the client checking in for the leak in the bathtub (a drip coming from the faucet) and the mold. We cleaned and disinfected it while they went out to dinner. Because it did not impact their stay, and they asked if we would wait to fix it upon their departure, which we did. Crayons pushed down from a previous guest, apparently were never fully removed from our drain. We take all feedback seriously and had tried to to pleasantly resolve any concerns. We took the initiative and refunded them money at the beginning of their stay for the inconvenience. The small leak in our refrigerator came about after they arrived and stocked the freezer and refrigerator with precooked and frozen foods to reheat for their stay. They turned the refrigerator up as cold as possible, which made ice accumulate under the freezer unit, in the refrigerator causing the drip. Once the unit was returned to the proper temperature our nearly new refrigerator has worked great. Unfortunately, today it appears that some guests feel that the review process gives them a way to manipulate the system, so they can stay for next to nothing. They called at one point to ask if they needed to, could they stay longer and we held the time, in case they did. We heard nothing out of them again until just before departure, when his wife began suddenly texting me, wanting me to refund them more money. I truly felt like we were being scammed.
Comfortable home. Enjoyed our stay. I am sure the listing said something about it but the home does not have a dishwasher, so be prepared to handwash...haha. Everything else was great. Would rent again.ThanksNick

Location and neighborhood was good, quiet, convenient…house was clean and comfortableTV didn’t work..no signal.. followed directions but didn’t have time to be on telephone with cable co…and didn’t want to spend what little time I had away dealing with problemBecause air was turned off when we got there and considering the temps, it took about 8 hours for house to become comfortable… But overall experience was positive

We wish you had let us know that the cable was out. We will check that, as we just had Comcast put an entire new box and line in less than three months ago and had no problems that we were aware of and God knows we spend enough paying for it, I want my guests to have it. Usually the AC is turned up but not off, per the instructions we leave.
About the host
Hosted by Virginia Hill
We own a commercial design business and initially purchased this home as an office space. However, as our business grew, we needed more room. Despite that, we fell in love with the property and its 1950s retro charm, reminiscent of the homes we grew up in. Wanting to preserve its character and uniqueness, we decided to keep it.
As native Floridians, our roots run deep in Martin County—our children are the fourth generation of our family to call it home. We are actively involved in our community, dedicating our efforts to preserving its most distinctive and cherished landmarks. Our pro bono projects have included work for the Lyric Theatre, the Mansion at Tuckahoe, the ARC, HPS, and Kiwanis Park at Woodlawn.
Why they chose this property
This wonderful old home spoke to us, just like the homes we grew up in, it features wonderful large closets and beautiful Dade County pine wood floors. We were also drawn to the privacy of the lot, still so close to town, yet surrounded by majestic trees and a large driveway, offering convenience and seclusion.
What makes this property unique
Location, Location, Location! This home sits on a huge lot with beautiful trees and gorgeous wood floors. It's within walking distance to the vibrant and historic downtown, where you'll find unique restaurants, bars, boutique shopping, and the scenic riverfront boardwalk. During the winter months, enjoy festivals and live music along the waterfront.
Conveniently located, it's also just a short walk to Martin Medical Center and the Cancer Center. Only two blocks south of the St. Lucie River and just minutes from beaches, boat ramps, and golf courses, this home offers the perfect blend of privacy and accessibility!
