Paradise on LGI! Golf Cart, Pool & Private Beach along with free parking & ferry

A Little Sand Between Your Toes ALWAYS Takes Away Your Woes! We Run on Island Time!
Our condo is three stories high. The ground floor is a garage for the charcoal grill, with beach chairs and umbrella. There is a storage closet for your use in the garage. The second floor (main living area), is comprised of living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom with king size bed and bath. Screened in porch overlooking pond with fountain. The living room is equipped with a 52" LED HD TV which has a DVR with Dish Network along with DVD player and DVD s. The kitchen is complete with microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender and of course everything needed for cooking and serving! Just bring your food! Master bedroom with brand new king size bed has a 42" LED HD TV with DVD player. The screened in porch has a round table with four chairs along with a full-size washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. The third floor is a loft which has two queen size beds with a 32" LED TV with a combo DVD/VCR player and its own full bath.
We purchased on Nov. 26, 2018. We flew down to Florida two weeks later to start with the updates.
First, we replaced the laundry room doors and dryer then bought brand new bath & hand towels along with wash cloths for both bathrooms. Next, we had fun replacing the dishes, bake ware, cook ware, along with new dish towels, dish cloths and pot holders. The coffee maker was also replaced. New paint in kitchen.
Then came the master bedroom. We replaced the king size mattress and box springs along with new linens. New bed linens upstairs for the two queen size mattresses too! Living room furniture has been updated. It's beautiful! Removing the old and in with the new was a bit challenging being on an island. We had to rent the ferry two extra times to bring over new furniture and mattresses and then expose of the old. Hew! Talk about a lot of work but definitely worth it! As you pull up to the unit, you'll also find two wicker chairs that I started restoring and painting. New cushions and pillows to match! We also painted the kitchen and touch up paint in the master bedroom. We've put a lot of love and time into updates and look forward to a new look to the screened in porch this upcoming April. So please enjoy our little piece of paradise! We aim to please and hope you'll enjoy our little nest!

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Start first load of towels. Please do not overload washer.
Sweep floors. Sand is inevitable. Taking shoes off outside the door helps.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please bring your own toiletries, paper towels, tin foil & condiments. We provide some however please replace for the next guest.
Several updates such as new living room furniture, king size mattress & box springs, dishes, kit & bath towels, coffee maker, rugs, art work.
Removal of shoes outside the door really helps reduce tracking of sand.

This property was amazing! The condo has everything you need. The island was beautiful and peaceful. Don’t over pack. Take some shorts and swim suits and go have fun!! Kim has everything in her condo for a relaxing vacation!!

As noted in the property description, Kim is still making updates to the condo. That said, the home was very comfy and had everything we expected when we arrived. The use of the golf cart was a huge plus and the home is decorated beautifully. Thanks for being a great host, Kim!

Away from it all!

It was great! This property has everything you need and the golf cart makes it easy to get around and explore. Very few people on the beach and everybody was friendly we did see. Just make sure and bring some off for the mosquitos. I would go back in a heartbeat. I would recommend walking down to the point ,it is awesome.

Wonderful!

Last year we stayed for a week, and it was not enough. This year we stayed for two weeks and still didn't want to leave. Little Gasparilla Island is the perfect place for those who enjoy unhurried access to a beautiful uncrowded beach and excellent fishing close by. It is really a gem and I am glad we found it. The condo is well maintained, well supplied, and everything is in good working order.

Easy access to beach and friendly atmosphere

We loved our stay with our 4 teens on the island. The condo was clean and comfortable and well appointed. Loved the lighthouse themed upstairs and spiral staircase! We had a great time meeting new people including Kim who is a gracious hostess. We walked the beach and found perfect shells and over 3,000 sharks teeth. The ferry rides were fun and helped us meet other guests. Thanks for the free golf cart! Great place to stay.

Love Little Gasparilla Island

The. condo was perfect!!! Clean, cozy and functional. It had everything we needed for our week on the island. From stuff for cooking to beach chairs, and body boards for my kids. We especially loved the golf cart to explore the island and haul the chairs to the beach. Kimberly was great to work with. She answered our questions and fulfilled our needs in a timely manner. Look forward to booking again for next year.

We are in love with LGI!

This was our first trip to LGI and I can assure you it will not be our last. The laid back island atmosphere made for the perfect vacation - when the only “time sensitive” thing on your agenda is to make sure you’re on the beach to watch the sunset, you know you will return relaxed and refreshed. Kimberly was delightful to work with, we had a couple hiccups during our stay but nothing that dampened our week and she was always available when needed. The beds were super comfy, kitchen fully stocked, boogie board and toys for the kids. We are already counting down the days until we can return to this little piece of paradise.

Two weeks of enjoyment.

Hideaway Condos are on the older side but kept up very well. The residences and renters we encountered were very social and and welcoming...a huge plus. We encountered a problem when the upper bathroom toilet leaked through the bottom bathroom the second day but was quickly fixed within 4-5 hours and communication with owner and maintenance was great. Golf cart with rental was great and a big plus for us. Few things need to be updated but owner seems to be working on it . We had a great time, enjoyed Hideaway complex, and our stay was uneventful in a good way from that point in. We enjoy Little Gasparilla and what it offers.

It was great staying on LGI

The four of us were very happy with our stay at the condo. We liked the convenience of cooking both on the charcoal grill and the fully equipped kitchen. The condo was very clean, well laid out and comfortable for 4 adults. A golf cart was provided, and we used it to shuttle back and forth to the beach and to the dock for fishing. Little Gasparilla Island had no cars, restaurants, stores or bars. Transit to and from the island is via Hideaway Beach Club Ferry. The ambiance of the island suited us perfectly. The beach is uncrowded, and you can walk for miles. Kimberly, the owner was great. All the people in the condo complex were very friendly. The ferry captains were professional, courteous and helpful. I wished that we could have stayed longer.

Gracious and Understanding

Full disclosure....we cancelled our trip due to the covid-19 issue. We have been to LGI in the past, love it. That said, rating the actual condo condition was simply a way to get to the review portion. For what it's worth, while we did not actually stay in the condo...the pics were far more clean and classy looking than the last condo we stayed in at Hideaway Bay. What I really desired to say in this review was the fantastic communication we had with the owner of this condo. Keep in mind, property owners were/are facing the same fall out from the pandemic as we are as vacationers. While we see our vacation crumbling, the property owner are dealing with large swaths of revenue disappearing, multiple weeks/months disappearing in a manner of a few days. I tried to take this into consideration when communicating with the owner. We cancelled literally at the last minute, not ideal for anyone. We found a win-win situation for us both in a time that was unprecedented. We WILL re-book ASAP as soon as we can get more direction from state and local governments on travel restrictions and can get an accurate idea of what will happen with Fall school and sports schedules. Unprecedented times and this owner was as gracious and understanding as possible which allowed for us to find a win-win for all involved.

Didn't Want to Leave

I found this listing just by chance and I'm so glad I did. The condo was wonderful! It was the perfect size for my family & fit us perfectly and was very comfortable. Our daughters (19 & 17) had the upstairs to themselves, with their own full-size bed for each of them and bathroom. Our room (Master Bedroom) was comfortable with a king-size bed, and the mattress was very comfortable (forgot to look at the brand before we left for future purchase). Condo was very nice and clean!! Having the golfcart to drive to the beach, or around to explore the island or to the 'golfcart parking lot' when we were going to the mainland, was great!! We did have a VERY SMALL issue when we first got there with the code for the parking lot, but that was it. I texted the owner and she called me to make sure it was handled and to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. I want to keep this perfect little island and condo a secret, because we are planning on coming back and want it to be available. :o) If you are wanting to get away for a relaxing and quiet week, this is the place!! No cars, not 'touristy', just PERFECT! The beach was so quiet and nice. There were people on the beach when we were there, but it wasn't crazy busy like it is in the more tourist towns. My only suggestion to future visitors is get some groceries that will hold you over for the first night & next morning/day, then just get what you need as the week goes on when you go onto the mainland. Publix is just down the road on the mainland and Walmart is about a 15 minute drive. (OH!! Make sure to take some tote bags to haul your groceries back in...it will save you.) ENJOY!!!! You won't regret it!!

Amazing Getaway!

Our spring break getaway was a truly relaxing time. The condo was well-quipped, neat, and clean. We had been to Little Gasparilla Island before, but we had never stayed in this condo. We were impressed with the amenities, location, and quiet atmosphere. The owner, Kimberly, was great to work with and she made sure we had all the important information we needed before arrival. Island Paradise

We loved our week at Little Gasparilla Island! Very quiet and miles of beach to walk and the sunsets were spectacular! The free ferry service was awesome when we wanted to go out for dinner or grab some groceries. Kim's condo was great and had everything we needed. We would definitely come back again.

Relaxing Island Paradise

Condo was perfect and had everything we needed. We enjoyed every minute of our trip. Ferry ride was fun for the kids and beach was ideal. Spent many late afternoons in the pool which was a fun way to transition from the beach. We will be back!

The non-profit purchased an elementary school 2 years ago. Preliminary drawings and renderings are completed and we’re excited to start renovations!

Why they chose this property

My parents live on the Gulf as well as my brother. Living in Michigan my entire life, it was time to invest in the Florida Sunshine where everyone can enJOY this beautiful tropical island! The white powdery beaches, plentiful sea life including dolphins and so many tropical birds, is mezmorizing not to mention gorgeous sunsets! A true time to unplug and just relax!
