A delightful coastal Mid-Century inspired home.

Enjoy all that beautiful Nokomis has to offer while staying at our comfortable home. It is located just minutes to the beach and the “inlet” and sits on a large ½ acre canal front lot with fishing platform. This home is not suitable for those with small children due to the canal front location with steep, wooded bank. Home is equipped with everything to make a comfortable stay. The home has central AC and comes with all utensils including pots, pans, dishes, towels, and linens. The master bedroom is spacious with a very comfortable queen size adjustable bed. It has a private bath with shower and double vanity. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and private bathroom.

Location, Location, Location! The home is located “West of Trail” and 1 mile from Nokomis beachand Publix. There are several restaurants nearby. The Legacy Trail is in very close proximity and offers more than 20 miles of scenic biking trails. It is a quick drive to historic downtown Venice. Downtown Sarasota with all the cultural venues such as the Ringling Museum, Oslo Theater, Purple Cow – Van Wezel Performing Arts, Marina Jacks, Selby Gardens, Golden Apple Dinner Theater, The Players, Golf Courses, Dog Races, galleries and shops, including world famous St. Armand’s Circle and “The 2nd Best Beach in the world” Siesta Key . is just 20 miles.

Great place for a long stay

Great property to get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life! It's quiet and secluded and away from busy street. But yet close to the beaches .

Spring Training Getaway

This was a peaceful, relaxing getaway in a quiet neighborhood. It was not far to beaches, activities and the ballpark. The house and the back yard had lots of space. The kitchen had everything you could want to make anything from a snack to a gourmet meal. The beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be back and share with others who are going to this area.

Nice house and owner

We stayed for 4 nights in this nice location. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed...plenty of towels, utensils, dishes, pots & pans, 2 tv's, comfortable bed. Contacted owner a couple of times and she was very willing to answer our questions. Thanks, Jill, for letting us use your lovely house!

Nokomis Canalfront

We have used VRBO and their associated companies multiple times in the past and have never had complaints or problems. We were very disappointed with our stay in Nokomis. We have been coming to the Venice area for five years, and this year we paid the most and got the least. The pictures we viewed were deceptive, and what we received was very much overpriced and disappointing. The furniture was filthy, the dinnerware stained and the untreated hard water left a coating on the dishes and silverware. There was no cable to connect with CNN, Fox or any other national, news network. The VRBO picture showed a clean, cut lawn which was not true in realty. The backyard was a mess with piles of junk. The canal picture with the boat was deceiving in that in reality it was neither attractive nor useful. In one bedroom we had to buy a shower mat for bathroom tub and hangers for the closet and hooks to hang things because there were no towel racks or hooks of any kind to hang anything. The coffee cups were so stained that they were not usable. If you would like photos, let me know and I will forward them. In fairness they did say that they were doing repairs on many of our complaints, so the future may be totally different for future renters.
