About this property

25th St. Del Mar Beach Colony Home - Private, Coastal, and Close to the Beach

Our perfect beach house is a 3-story, 3000 square foot, single family home plus guest house that is located just 3 houses in from the beautiful, famous Del Mar beach on 25th St. An ideal location with convenient beach access and just a short walk from Powerhouse Park (with a large grass area and a playground, it's great for kids!), beachfront restaurants like Jakes and Poseidon, and the Del Mar Racetrack. The house is nicely furnished and has a very warm, cozy, and beachy feel. If you know this area of Del Mar, then you know that it is a flat, less-than-a-minute walk to the beach with no main streets to cross. And there is a lifeguard stand right there at 25th Street beach to keep everyone safe while you and yours enjoy the ocean and the beach.

Our home is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house that sleeps 8. The property is comprised of a main home and a guest house. The main home is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and the guest house provides the additional bedroom and bath. The guest house also has a small kitchenette with it's own mini-fridge, sink with faucet, dishes, and utensils.

The main living areas are on the 2nd floor to take advantage of the ocean views. On the 1st floor you will find the entry hall, a bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with two twin beds, a bathroom with tub and shower, the garage, and a large outdoor patio with spa and charcoal BBQ. The 2nd floor has the living room (with fireplace and TV), dining room, kitchen, outdoor deck, plus the master bedroom suite with a king bed, office area, sitting area, and large bathroom with 2 sinks, large tub, separate shower, and walk-in closet. The 2nd floor deck has a dining table with 4 chairs, 4 bar stools, a passthrough window to the kitchen, and great views towards the beach. There is also a 3rd floor room facing the ocean with a large couch, delightful views, a game bookshelf complete with lots of games, and another desk/office area where you can attempt to get some work done. The guest house has a small kitchenette, additional 2 twin beds, bathroom with 1 sink and a shower, and a tv for playing video games.

High-speed wireless Internet access throughout. The smart TV has cable as well as an Apple TV and the ability to access your own streaming accounts.

We have plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, boogie boards, a skim board, and the like. There is also a warm outdoor shower and jacuzzi so that you can leave the beach outside. Beach towels provided.

Most of our renters come back year after year. We hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do!!

An absolute gem in Del Mar This home brought back the best memories—my parents owned it years ago, and the patio is still the star of the show. Incredible location, beautiful space, and Debbie is a truly wonderful host. Highly recommend! Can't wait to bring my 84 year old mother!

Del Mar get-away

It was the perfect home for grandparents of a two year old and adult children to slow down and spend quality time together as a family. The house is very close to a lovely beach and a nice walk to Del Mar’s charming restaurants. There is also a great playground overlooking the beach, on the way to Del Mar’s main street.

Beach House

Great location just a few steps to the beach. Lots of included beach chairs and toys for the beach. The views from the second floor patio and the third floor loft of the beach are wonderful. Separate casita in the back next to the hot tub is perfect for a small separate living area when there are multiple families or for the kids.

A roomy, comfortable stay!

The home was perfect for our group, which included 2 teenage girls, who loved having a separate “casita” to stay in. There was lots of room to spread out in the main house also. The owner could not have been easier to communicate with. Unfortunately, we had an ongoing issue with the dryer, which we had counted on when planning on clean clothing for a week. It was finally fixed on the day before we left. The hot tub could use an update also as the jets are not very effective. Nonetheless, the owners responded promptly to our issues and did their best to offer help. The location is great and San Diego is a 20-30 minute drive to places like Balboa Park. All in all, a good stay! Thank you.

The location was perfect and the house is incredibly spacious with comfortable beds. Can't beat being that close to the beach and having so many beach amenities (chairs, sand toys, etc) at our disposable in the garage. The outdoor space is very nice too, including the hot tub.

Amazing location and layout

We had the best spring break at 25th Street Beach. Being able to walk out the door to the beach is priceless when you have two younger kids who need to come and go (and a working spouse who could join us in spurts). Actual location in proximity to greater SD was also ideal and made it a breeze to see friends in neighboring towns, or spend a day on Coronado and one at Legoland. The house layout was generous and thoughtful, with plenty of room for the kids to spread out and for needed work space. Outdoor shower and hot tub were a win. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location!

This is a great neighborhood. There was five adults in our group, and we all enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room. We all agreed that it would be a great place to come back to. Walking distance to everything we needed. A great beach to take a walk on, or to surf the waves. If you are missing your dog, (like I was) you can get your dog fix with a walk on the beach where you will likely have a friendly encounter with a dog and it's owner. Overall a great experience for my friends and I.

Property was clean and well kept and had all the supplies you would need for your beach trip! Plenty of chairs, toys and towels! Property was large and had plenty of space to spread out and relax. Hot tub was a great amenity after a swim in the Pacific Ocean. Would definitely stay here again!

Del Mar Vacation

This was our 3rd year in a row staying at this house with the whole family. It was perfect as always. So close to the beach and anything else we could possibly need or want for a relaxing vacation. Check-in and check-out super easy and property manager is always only a text or phone call away.

Amazing location

The house was just 3 houses from the beach, you can walk right out to the beach every day. And at night the hot tub was so nice. Plenty of room. Comfortable bed. Old school beach house vibe. Looks well loved. My sister and I had a very relaxing, socially distanced vacation. Easy to get groceries and food delivered. Never had to leave while we were there. The host was extremely nice and friendly.

This has been my family's multi-generational beach house for the past 35 years, we really love it. This is where great family memories are made! We love the close proximity to fabulous Del Mar beach, walking to restaurants, all water activities, and enjoying time together on the beach.

What makes this property unique

Our family loves this house because it's just 3 houses from the beach. And best of all, we all enjoy eating out on the patio where we can see the water and also watch all of the beach area activities.... people, airplanes, helicopters, train, surfers going back and forth, hot air balloons....
