The Beaches are a ten minute drive away. Choose Windward beach for great waves and privacy or, if you prefer calmer water, head to Pinney’s or Herbert where you can sip rum drinks, eat fresh seafood and chat with locals. For those of you who like more activity, Oualie Beach offers windsurfing, mountain biking, and snorkeling. Hikes up the mountain and through the rain forest can be arranged with local guides or family members. Quality restaurants can be found at nearby historic plantation inns and in Charlestown.
