INDOOR GATHERING SPACE
Kick off your shoes or hang your jacket at the entryway near the powder room before you wander through the spacious main floor on top of beautiful hardwoods. The open plan of this area is ideal for large family gatherings, combining space for cooking, dining and relaxing. The kitchen has large windows that bathes the space in natural light and is filled with luxurious, state-of-the-art appliances to help you prepare food. Enjoy your meal around the large dining table and then relax and enjoy conversations with your friends on the nearby L-shaped sectional couch. Around the corner and through the French doors is a TV room with cozy seating and an attached full bathroom. Laundry facilities are provided on the second level. Heading all the way down to the lower level is a living room with large screen television which allows the downstairs to serve as either a quiet retreat for adults or a perfect spot for all the kids to have fun together.

OUTDOOR GATHERING SPACE
For as much as Lemon Drop offers to guests on the inside of the house, there is just as much to do outside. The back patio includes a large gas grill and picnic table for outdoor meals. A firepit and seating area provide opportunities for s’mores and late-night conversations under the stars. Younger guests will enjoy the elaborate Sandcastle Playground just steps away from the house. On top of all of this, a complementary golf cart is provided for guests of Lemon Drop during the summer season to help transport all of your gear to the beach or to have a relaxing drive around the neighborhood.

Great place to stay with kids!!

The location was excellent for kids....right next to the playground. Having access to the golf cart for driving back and forth to the beach was a huge plus! Beach toys, chairs and a wagon were present which was nice for transport. The house is older but mostly well maintained. The roof deck is not accessible, despite pictures showing it online. However, this was not a huge deal for our group. We had plenty of space and the starter kit of toilet paper, soap, etc....was more than enough for our stay. Overall, a great place to stay with plenty of room and great amenities. I would recommend this home to anyone traveling with multiple families, especially with smaller children.

Family Weekend

This property worked perfectly for our family weekend getaway. We had 20 people ranging from 4 to 64 years old, and there was something for everyone. We went to the beach, pool, tennis courts, rented gear on the lake, shopped at the outlet mall, and went to the zoo. There was plenty of room for everyone. There were two things to note....There was not a bedroom on the main floor, which might be an issue for people with mobility issues. The heating/cooling was not well balanced. The upstairs rooms were quite warm and the bottom rooms were freezing. Looking forward to returning!

Awesome Spot I'd Highly Recommend

Lemon Drop is an awesome house, in a great area by the park within the amazing Beach Walk resort. Everything from the beach, to the pool to the park obviously, was extremely accessible. We loved Lake Kai being close and took advantages of the activities available. We had a huge crew with ages ranging from 10 months to 65, and the space was perfectly sized and situated for our needs. I have two small issues I would definitely want future guests to be aware of. The upper balcony looks awesome, and is advertised, but is not accessible and was locked with a padlock. I'm sure the view is gorgeous, so we were disappointed we didn't have access. The master suite is said to be a queen bed, but it'd definitely a full, so plan accordingly. Lastly, the upper floor was a little warm in the evening in relation to the main level or basement. None of these things would prevent us from recommending the property, just aspects to expect. Enjoy your stay!

Reviewer Comments: Despite what I'm about to say, this house was great for a multitude of families to stay in and I'd probably do it again. That said, things just kept breaking. When we arrived, we discovered that the rooftop porch was blocked off and unusable, which they never told us in advance. We were really looking forward to that so it was a huge disappointment for which we were not compensated. As the week progressed, some blinds broke, the oven door broke, the faucet in the kitchen was worn out... you could tell this rental has seen better days. That said, it was great for having tons of kids in one place. Liked that it was right next to the playground and the golf cart was handy. But the stuff breaking and especially the blocked off roof with lack of communication left a bad taste in my mouth.

This is our second stay at Lemon Drop and we came back based on the size/sleeping options and great location near the park for our kids. Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived with no complaints from that front.The only negatives I did want to mention:1. We were delayed in checking because "maintenance was coming" but they never came and it only delayed our check in.2. The master is advertised with a queen bed but it's actually a full. We had hoped they'd rectified this, but unfortunately they have not.3. A window blind was broken for the duration of our stay and no one ever came to fix itOverall the house could use a little love with some updating, painting, etc. but it comes at a great price and offers so much space for large families.

Perfect House For A Big Family

The space worked well for the kids and adults alike allowing us all to gather separately in our own spaces or all in the family room. The home was pretty clean and had all the necessities that you’d have at home therefore not feeling any lack or discomfort. There is a playground for the kids right behind the house and all of the community activities are in walking distance to the home. The home also has a golf carts for those who don’t want to walk or when items need to be transported. I would definitely recommend this home to friends.

We were celebrating the engagement of my sister and brother in law and had the best time! Such a fun place to go with so much to do! The house was wonderful and fit my group of 15 with lots of room. I can’t wait to return with my children next year, as it’s a very family oriented place. The only complaint I had was the cleaning fee is very expensive and they require you to do a lot. We were fined for leaving a few drinks in the fridge and because the garbage was full and unable to be taken out so we left it at the door. All in all, they ended up holding $50 from my security deposit and I paid a $375 cleaning fee, so it was hefty in my opinion. It still did not take a way from our time and we enjoyed every minute of our vacation!

Golf carts make it easy to get to the darling cafe (great donuts!), lake, and fantastic beach. Would stay at this resort/home again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Office people were very nice and tried to respond to our concerns. The house was listed as 6 bedrooms, the 6th being a fold out. Perfectly OK except the foldout was broken and apparently for some time. Other issues, one shower/tub was broken and inoperative, plumbing backed up and needed cleaning, dishwasher trays missing parts (unable to place dishes and slide in trays). On the last day, there was no hot water. House seems to be not very well maintained - especially for the price.

We Enjoyed Beach Walk It Wasn't a Lemon

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: All 18 of us from age 2 to 72 enjoyed Lemon Drop at Beachwalk. The staff was attentive and responsive. The house was well-equipped and durable. Joe Lane is off the main streets. That gave us a lot of privacy and little traffic to worry us about the little ones. If we come again we would prefer a site closer to an open flat area where we can recreate outdoors. The Lemon Drop lot is sloped and covered with dune grass, so outdoor rec is pretty much confined to the back deck. We had nice weather so it didn't become an issue. The biggest downer about Lemon Drop is that it needs a power wash to remove the high humidity, woodsy moss and lichen, particularly on the shaded sides.
