Frisco, Colorado is "the Main Street of the Rockies". It is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Denver International Airport and right off of I-70. The charming Frisco downtown is one of the rare ski towns in the US that is still quaint, but offers walking distance to many amenities. The center of downtown Main Street is only two short blocks to shopping, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, ice cream shop, toy store, liquor store, and an impressive nightlife. Within a few miles is a major supermarket, Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, Starbucks and many ski shops for equipment or rental needs. There is also a Summit County free ski shuttle bus that services all the local mountains and picks up on Main Street. Frisco is centrally located to all that Summit County has to offer and is truly a four-season location.

Our family home will offer you a contemplative retreat set against a clear night ski. It will be a very comfortable stay that includes upscale furniture, appliances, linens, fast WiFi and many other amenities.....all within a short distance of multiple world-class resorts and priced to be affordable!

Great stay in Frisco!

We had a very relaxing, quiet weekend in Frisco. The house was well stocked and there are many nearby restaurants. We even saw a moose! My only comment is that the property is smaller than it looks in the pictures. Not a bad thing, just a note!

Cozy and comfortable stay

We enjoyed a great week in this lovely house which was perfectly located for us to have fun in Frisco and surrounding ski areas. The well stocked kitchen made family dinner prep easy. Lisa is an excellent host - I appreciate her communication and willingness to share information. We will hope to stay here again!

Really great location

Walking distance to the town of Frisco, which is a really cute town with plenty to do (eat, drink, read, dance). There was music in the park which was enjoyable. Our adult children went downhill mountain biking, they also climbed the mountain in Frisco. We also enjoyed the hot springs nearby and we went to Cripple Creek for a day. Week went by too fast.

good stay in frisco, colorado

the kitchen was well equipped, great restaurants in Frisco, 15 min from skiing Breck, and 30 min from Vail. Hot tub was small, 4 people, if your group is bigger, y will need to take turns. the only improvement i would suggest is the mattress, the one in the bedroom we slept in was lumpy, and very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Early Season Ski Trip

Five of us (two couples + one) come out to Summit County yearly for a fall early season ski trip; meeting up with others - 10 - 20 people. We needed three bedrooms with private baths each for 11 nights, a decent place to cook and relax in evenings, a grill, and hot tub. This fit our wish list perfectly. Previously we stayed in Keystone area, but much preferred this. Great to walk downtown after skiing as long as roads were ok. Lisa was super to work with and very responsive.

Great location - lovely home!!

The pictures and description were accurate. We were 1/4 mile from downtown Frisco, an easy walk even in the snow. Check in and out were clear and very simple… I appreciate the communication from Lisa checking on us as well. :) I’m super picky about beds and these were excellent as well! Hot tub is very spacious (but bring slides or flip flops in the winter! Ha!) and a lovely treat!

Late June stay

This home is much smaller than the photos convey. The living area is quite small, so if you have a large group, like we did, know that the first floor is not spacious. We also had some issues with the kitchen including no pot holders, no dish rack and only one dish towel. Again the kitchen is not as large as the photos would have you imagine. To the owner's credit, she was apologetic about the kitchen issues and gave me a $30 refund to cover these items in case we wanted to shop for them ourselves. In addition, the main floor bathroom is not ensuite with the bedroom so it becomes a community sort of bathroom, located between the kitchen and laundry room. There is essentially no back yard despite the photos, however the front yard seating is nice. The two upstairs bedrooms are fine with attached bathrooms.

Underwhelmed

This place didn't live up to our hopes given the listing and the previous good ratings. A few noticeable things did not inspire trust in the overall cleanliness....dirty pans when we went to cook, noticeable dust and cobwebs on the walls, and an off smell in the main level bath and laundry room. Generally the unit seems to need some updates and repairs. The windows function very poorly. Upon arrival we found two windows that were unsecured and allowing very cold air into the house. Adding to the concern, we would not have noticed the lack of security if we hadn’t investigated the draftiness. These windows are damaged/warped to the point that it took my husband 20 minutes to actually get them to lock and secure. The hot tub shows a lot of wear with cracked and broken towel hooks and buttons that are completely worn off. There was a lot of ice covering the deck and the steps to the hot tub as well which resulted in our family slipping and falling. The location is great, the number of rooms is nice, but it's generally lacking enough care and attention. The potential is there but left a bit to be desired and ultimately means that we wouldn’t return.

BYOTP!Very limited on toilet paper. We found 6 rolls for 6 adults. It seemed to cheapen the experience. One roll per person for an 3 night/4 day stay? We were allowed 2 trash bags. We recommend bring additional. We slept on a poor mattress upstairs. Our friends had no issues with their two beds. You must understand that with 4 beds you are only allowed 2 cars on site. We parked a few blocks away in a public lot and had to move the car each 24 hours. I anticipate it would be trouble during peak seasons. The location was excellent. The hot tub was very nice. Kitchen was adequate. There is a very nice park a short walk away by the stream.Three moose bed down across the street in the neighbors yard. Our host did call but I was involved in a business dinner and declined to discuss toilet paper at that timeIt is very family friendly.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location of the house is fantastic our boys walked to the creek every morning to go fishing and caught plenty of fish. After moving to Denver, we spent 3 years visiting every town nestled in the majestic Rockies in search of the perfect mountain get-a-way. When we discovered Frisco, the search was over! Being in the mountains feeds the soul. There are opportunities to learn new tricks, try new things, and meet new people to make your trip unforgettable. Enjoy your stay in our family home and Frisco, one of America’s hidden gems. We hope it is enough to win your heart and keep you wanting to return!

We both travel extensively for work and leisure and have tried to include all the amenities that we ourselves have experienced and loved throughout our travels. We are hands-on owners and do not use a management company. We also have great local folks who maintain and upkeep the house and can be available quickly.

Why they chose this property

Frisco is the perfect mountain location. It has the unique combination of both upscale and cheap eats restaurants, quaint boutiques, and world-class outdoor activities. Frisco is a small town with all the necessary conveniences, yet it has a historic 'walk around' downtown that is uniquely special. There are five world-class ski resorts between 15 and 30 minutes away. In the warmer months at the end of Main Street is Frisco Marina at Lake Dillon with a sandy beach, fun Happy Hour bar/restaurant, kayaking, paddleboarding, and boat rentals.

What makes this property unique

The house is two short blocks to the center of historic downtown Frisco, "The Main Street of the Rockies". It has great views of the mountains. You will be able to walk to an impressive number of restaurants, gelatto shops, and boutiques. Our home is not your typical rental. We use professional cleaners and the jacuzzi is professionally maintained. Our home is tastefully decorated and contains many upgrades. You will feel more like you are staying at a friend's house. We have gone to great lengths to make sure your stay will be comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable.
