Welcome to ‘Villa Chandolas.’ Completely private, romantic, and walled in; this enchanting oasis located in the highly desirable area of South Palm Desert hides behind palm trees and high hedges. Walking distance from the shops, art galleries, and restaurants of gorgeous El Paseo.
Behind the gate, the exquisite swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation, honed Saltillo tiles, tiled water fountains and wrought iron railings create a romantic and soothing atmosphere. Although ‘Villa Chandolas’ is a stone’s throw to the best shopping, restaurants, tennis and golf, you won’t want to leave the house. Has Mountain Views too.
The ample and open family/kitchen/ living room with fireplace and high wood beamed ceilings embraces the tranquil atmosphere of the warm and exotic patio areas. Enjoy being lost in time. The elegant master seamlessly transitions to the verdant patio area through French doors and a swimming pool. The house also offers two other bedrooms with pool and backyard views. Both bathrooms are loaded with charm and spacious walk-in showers.
Multiple outdoor spaces, gorgeous plants, mature trees, lemon and orange trees-- the pool and the amazing fountain exude peace, tranquility and romanticism. Paradise is at your fingertips. The kitchen has new appliances. Coffee lovers, don’t worry there are several options, a Keurig (loaded with pods,) a traditional Cuisinart coffee pot with a grinder on-site and a French Press! Brand new 6-burner barbecue too. Also, dual system central state of the art new AC/Heat with Nest thermostats. Pool is heated between October and April!
The house is deep cleaned before every booking and air conditioning filters are changed. We want you to enjoy the magical experience!

Hi Everyone-- I'm a sci fi writer and my husband is a former basketball player, French and in love with Palm Desert. Chandolas is a village in France, in Ardeche, in Provence, where my husband spent every summer growing up, and this house reminded him of that region, which led to its name, "Villa Chandolas." We have loved this magical house for 8 years and have been wanting to make it a vacation rental for a while. We look forward to welcoming you into this wonderful place and making your stay as enjoyable, memorable and effortless as possible. We have a 27 day minimum stay due to Palm Desert's short term rental law.
Pets/doggies are welcome! Upon approval/and with an extra fee of $50.

This property is MAGICAL. A veritable lush romantic paradise, totally private, immaculate with charm filled and spacious bathrooms complete with huge tiled walk in showers. Property is private and walled in. Peaceful. Close to the best restaurants and shopping the desert has to offer! Not to mention, the Living Desert Zoo is right up the street. A compassionate zoo with giraffe feedings and camel rides! A unique property we look forward to making your vacation a great experience and having you return again!
