Bright, spacious Beachwalk Studio Loft - Sleeps 4!

Bright, airy studio loft in ideal Beachwalk location! 3rd House from Lakeshore Drive! Steps to Lake Michigan, Lake Kai, and Beachwalk pool. Spacious loft features full kitchen, queen bed, and new sofa sleeper. We offer everything you need to enjoy the beach, including bikes, wagons, coolers, chairs, and beach toys.

Loft was freshly painted in 2019, with new furniture and decor including NEW sofa bed!

In addition to the proximity to Lake Michigan, Beachwalk Resort also offers a community swimming pool, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball, and fishing and non-motor sports on Lake Kai. Kayaks and paddleboards can be borrowed for free from the pool attendants. The surrounding Michigan City and Harbor Country area offers Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets, Blue Chip and Four Winds Casinos, wineries, breweries, boutiques, great restaurants, golf, and more! Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is also nearby.

Spacious loft has a private entrance leading into a full kitchen with breakfast bar seating for 3. Sitting area features a pull out couch, arm chair, HDTV, High Speed WiFi, phone and window seat with dining table seating for 6. Off to the side is a queen bed and ample storage space. Bathroom features a tub/shower combo.

Airy cathedral ceiling includes a ceiling fan, and unit is heated/cooled with Nest thermostat. Parking is at the end of the block.

Perfect rental

This is probably the best VRBO rental we've ever had. This little loft is the perfect size for two people. Clean. Nicely decorated. Location is fantastic, literally across the street from the beach. Tons of amenities - the bikes in the garage (for all ages and sizes) looked brand new. Lots of beach chairs. Weather didn't cooperate for us to use any of that stuff, but super nice that it's there and in great condition. We used this as a home base for lots of hiking in the National and State parks, which was excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend this rental or return ourselves.

Everything you need to relax

Our stay at Captain Jack’s Loft was exactly what my husband I were hoping for. The loft itself was extremely clean and just steps from the beach. Having chairs, umbrellas, bikes, and much more available for our use made for an easy, low maintenance beach vacation and we will definitely be back!

Perfect for small family

This studio was perfect for our small family and had everything plus more we needed for water and other fun, as well as the kitchen gear we needed to cook. The resort itself was awesome, too, with the park, two pools and access to a private beach. You can't beat the location of this property, halfway between the pool and beach, and the price was right for a week-long respite. We highly recommend!

Perfect small family get away

Jason was super nice and helpful. They had literally everything we needed to enjoy the pool, beach and everything else outside. We only needed to bring clothes. It was the perfect location - close to the beach, smaller lake and pool. We rode our bikes (provided at the house) everywhere.

We love Beachwalk and are excited to share our house when we are not using it. We chose Beachwalk because we love the community vacation feel of the neighborhood in the summer and the proximity to the beautiful Lake Michigan beach. The fall is so pretty with the leaves turning and a much slower pace. Winter is quiet and beautiful, with beautiful winter hikes in the nearby nature preserve. Please make yourself at home and enjoy the house as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We wanted to have a place to get away from Chicago and enjoy our family. We love to entertain and share it with family and friends. We love the short commute from Chicagoland and the convenience of nearby Michigan City and Harbor Country. Everyone at Beachwalk is having a great time; there is an amazing vacation vibe all summer long!

What makes this property unique

We have toys for all ages- bikes, strollers, beach toys, equipment for tennis, basketball, fishing, baseball. Beach coolers, chairs, towels, and tables. The back porch has a Weber grill, table, and seating. The loft offers just enough space for a couple or a family of 4 to enjoy, and is in the perfect location close to the beach and pool!
