Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. Loved the outdoor space. Very spacious with all the required amenities. Lots of space for a group of four. It was a very convenient location for us to tour around the area. Very relaxing place to come visit.

Wonderful

We had a great time in a great place. Bages is a beautiful little village and the house is situated on the best place there. Everything we needed was there and in very good condition. Thank you for a beautiful week, we would love to be there again.

Beautiful home by the sea.

We loved this home....it had everything we needed and was very spacious with all the amenities. It is a lovely mix of old and new. The village is very pleasant and very close to Narbonne. The housekeeper was there if we needed her and always checked to see we were fine. We would not hesitate to recommend this home.

It really is No 1

Been back a week and we cannot stop thinking about No1 Place Juin. If you are lucky enough to secure a booking of this most wonderful location and accommodation with its surroundings you will not be disappointed, this is one of those experiences we dream about having and the hosts allow this to come true. It certainly exceeded our expectations.

Great spot for a getaway from the city

Family of 4 stayed here with two young children and we were very pleased. The unit was well stocked, clean, secure, and the patio on the top floor was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. Bages is a lovely town, we were visiting before the high summer season (we were there in June) so the town itself was quiet and restaurants weren't open during our days there. But it served as a great home base to explore the area, including day trips to Narbonne, Beziers, and down the coast to explore some beaches. Would recommend this property.

The centre of the centre.

This well equiped property, is very much at the Centre of Bages. And lives up to it reputation. We had two lovely weeks here, and spent, much time on the roof terrace. The Etang is fabulous, with much wildlife, walks and the swimming in the salty waters a delight. We played Petanque by the water. and the closeness to the Super city of Narbonne was a joy. Much to Like here

Amazing house, in a perfect location

This house is a special place to stay. It's a huge, characterful house which is situated right on the square of a delightful village, in Bages. The house is great to spend time in, since there is loads of space and it is really well furnished. Unlike many holiday rentals, the kitchen feels like it is really ready to cook in. The terrace on the top floor is a great space to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine and look out over the sea/lagoon. The views really are amazing. The location is also perfect. You are in a small but charming village, with restaurants and bars literally on your doorstop. Narbonne is a 5/10 minute drive away, with plenty of amenities, and the town itself is also very pleasant and interesting.

Simply wonderful!

We had a wonderful time here. This is a delightful home oozing French character and charm, and you immediately feel immersed as a local in sleepy little Bages. Being right on the village square is a treat - pop across for croissants and coffee in the morning, a cold drink in the afternoon, and then a choice of the handful of restaurants in the evening. Also the centre of Narbonne is a short drive away with it's marvellous food market and plenty of boutique shops & restaurants. Nadia was efficient with communication and made the experience seamless. Definitely highly recommend!

Favourite place in the world!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house right in the centre of Bages. The house was beautifully furnished, equipped with everything we needed and in such a great location. We loved the village, especially the square and the restaurants and cafés. The walking and cycling was spectacular and we also hired kayaks and paddle boards to go out on the lagoon which was great fun. It's a brilliant location to explore – we loved Carcassonne and Narbonne and also went down to Collioure and did a day trip to Barcelona which was perfect. The house and area exceeded our expectations in every way and we will definitely be back. Thank you Nadia for a fantastic holiday. Nick and Fran Goodman

A perfect piece of paradise and relaxation!

The property exceeded our expectations upon arrival! The top floor terrace and room off of it were the perfect setting for a morning coffee and our afternoon wine. The view was second to none. We enjoyed the tranquility of the area and the feeling of not being rushed! As someone who likes to cook, the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed! The space was fantastic for the whole family - kids had their space to unwind as did us parents (bonus!!). An easy starting point for day trips to the beach and oysters as well as a drive to Carcassonne. We would stay again if we are ever in the area, so great! Thank you Nadia and Mark for the welcome rose, it was a lovely treat upon arrival!

Secret Beautiful hideaway - super for Snowboarding

We stayed in this apartment which was 5 min walk from the tele cabin to the slopes very quiet location, in a beautiful setting. The baths were also a 5 min walk away and well worth a visit after a days snowboarding. The apartment was super, everything you could ask for there was three of us and there was plenty of room open log fire double french doors going out onto a balcony over looking the mountains. Well worth the money local to all shops and everything is included. The best place to stay for sure. This is a top secret super cool location. Great correspondence from the owners easy to use everything. Only thing i will say is whilst away on a working/snowboarding holiday it would have be beneficial to have WifI in the apartment.

Pleasant vacations in the nice area out of the beaten tracks..

Totally randomly rented this location as did not have much time for the research and it was the first result appearing in the research. Nevertheless of the fact that location is rather far from the sea : Gruissan plage 30 min by car , Leucate plage 35-40 min by car we enjoyed it 100 proc. It made us discover something new, very cosy, local, original. Loved it. Just a small note to put wd40 on the doors of the bedrooms. Some locks on the bathrooms would be nice as well.

We tend to avoid the crowded beaches and go to the beaches on the Etang de Bages and Peyriac which are just 5 minutes away and lovely and great for swimming too. Great sailing a cycle ride away at La Nautique sailing club. Thank you re the squeaky doors - we will get to that! Bages, a village in which to relax!

We selected this apartment in Bages to relax for a few days after sending home 4 friends with whom we’d been traveling for 2 weeks. We wanted to explore the Roussilon area and it’s wines before heading home. The apartment was perfect for this. As it was October, 2 restaurants on the square were closed, but MC Burger’s hamburger was very good. We ate at Restaurant Le Portanel and had excellent meals. The location allowed us to visit several local wineries with really nice wines. The only negative is that when we looked at the description of the place before renting is that there was o mention that the apartment is on 3 floors! This caused some problem as my wife is going to have knee replacement surgery in 2 weeks! It was not easy for her to go up and down the narrow staircase from the kitchen-living room to the bedroom.

So I'm sorry I wasn't clear that it is very much the whole house not an apartment but I did just look in the text and we do say the following below just for reference but I will try to make it more clear in the title perhaps. Thank you for your reservation and good luck to your wife with the knee replacement - I hope next time you visit, it will be easier for her! All the best, Nadia La maison se présente sur trois niveaux : au rez de chaussé, l’entrée donne sur un petit séjour cosy (avec canapé, télévision, lecteur DVD et wifi gratuit plus jeux pour tous les âges et des livres) ouvert sur un grand espace lumineux disposant d'un grand salon/salle à manger et une cuisine avec cheminée. Les fenêtres hautes classiques de grand salon ouvert sur la jolie place du village. La cuisine est très bien équipée avec grand frigo/congélateur américaine, lave-vaisselle, plaque de cuisson à induction, bar, machine à café, bouilloire, des casseroles et la vaisselle pour 8 personnes. La cuisine a aussi une entrée séparé, idéale pour décharger les courses et aussi il y a un petit table et chaises dehors sur l’impasse. En plus, au rdc, il y a des WC. Au deuxième étage : chambre plein sud avec un grand lit double (peut être sépare en deux lit simples) belle vue sur l’étang et une salle d’eau avec douche, WC et lavabo. Troisième étage est notre petit salon préféré, ensoleillée avec portes coulissantes pleine hauteur crée l'expérience intérieure et extérieure par excellence pour que vous puissiez profiter pleinement du panorama spectaculaire sur le village, les eaux bleues de l’étang et cette région glorieuse. La terrasse offre l'emplacement du petit-déjeuner le plus parfait ; également pour l’apéro, la sieste et le temps à contempler le panorama de l'eau, les pécheurs, les bateaux, les flamants roses et tous les éléments d’un beaux village classique méditerranée. Même une vue de Canigou au loin du fenêtre sud.

Peaceful and Welcoming

If you are looking to slow down your pace of life and just relax, this is a gorgeous place to do so! The house is a great combination of old charm and modern conveniences. The owners have been very thoughtful with stocking the house with everything you may possibly need. There is plenty of space for multiple couples or families with kids. The terrace on the top level is pure joy and beauty. The village is lovely and lively. You can walk out the front door for drinks or a meal. You might hear music until 11:00 at night, but it is what makes the village vibrant. We hiked from town and also rented bikes from the nearby town of Peyriac de Mer. Both experiences were great - we even spotted the famous flamingos! Nadia was so helpful, rebooking our stay twice as we waited for green lights with Covid. She checked in with us on arrival too. Good people! We loved our stay in Bages! Great house, sweet town, peaceful area, and wonderful hosts! Enjoy!

Lovely house that lived up to expectations.

This is a really smart conversion of a very old house in the centre of the village. It’s next to two of the three village eating places, one of which doubles as a small grocery. We used all three. They’re very different but all have something to offer. We loved the house which is spacious and well equipped. There is a huge master bathroom and all three bedrooms have lots of storage space. The third floor lounge is large and there is a small open terrace which we used extensively. The cooking facilities are excellent and converted me to induction. Parking in the village is restricted and you have to park a short walk from the house. Narbonne is 10-15 minutes away. We used the splendid daily market at Les Halles for most food and there are several accessible hypermarkets. Narbonne is an interesting town with Roman and Medieval sites and the Canal Robine running through the middle and lots of good eating. We’ve been in the area many times and revisited various places by car and train from Narbonne. Bages itself is an old village with lots of lived in charm. The locality pleased us with the wildlife in the Etang and the visually striking walks. However what we enjoyed most was having family members and friends staying for some of the time, entertaining them and traveling around the area. The house and its location were perfect for this. We all loved the place and were in a consistently self-congratulatory mood at having found it. It was all helped by the friendly and informative efficiency of Nadia, the owner who could not have been more supportive. All in all it made for as successful a rental as we have had in forty years of holidaying and I’d recommend it unreservedly.

Séjour très agréable dans une maison magnifique

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette belle région et cette belle maison. Les espaces sont agréables pour vivre à 6 sans souci, la maison est très bien aménagée et a beaucoup de cachet. La terrasse avec sa vue sur l'étang est un vrai plus. Les attentions à l'arrivée et la communication facile avec les propriétaires sont vraiment appréciables. Merci !

Ideales Haus für eine grosse Familie

Sehr viel Platz auf drei Stockwerken, gut und sinnvoll eingerichtet, nahe an der Natur, Klimaanlage auf zwei Stockwerken, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nahe, verschiedene Strände in 30 Autominuten erreichbar, frisches Brot auf Bestellung neben dem Haus erhältlich. Wir empfehlen das Haus und würden es sofort wieder buchen!

idyllische Ferienwohnung mit Blick aufs Wasser

Eine sehr schöne, grosse Ferienwohnung, die durchaus geeignet ist für zwei Familien. Auch für Kleinkinder geeignet. Die überdurchschnittliche Einrichtung mach Lust auf Kochen. Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen, Geschirrspülmaschine etc. alles vorhanden. Die Einricjtung ist sehr schön und stilvoll. Die Mückennetze über den Betten sind sehr praktisch. Aber mit Abstand am schönsten ist die Tersse mit Blick auf den Etang de Bages. Hier kann man mit malerischen Ausblick essen und trinken. Die Umgebung lädt zum Wandern, Fahradfahren (am besten Fahrräder mitbringen!) ein, aber auch die Badestrände sind mit in ca 20-30 Minuten zu erreichen. Gerne wieder!
