Nice condo in a good location

The condo is modern and comfy and is located in a clean and new looking community. We love playing golf at the Sapelo Hammock golf course and the condo is right on the course. Perfect location!

I had a question early evening on a Saturday night. I didn’t expect a call back until morning, Emily called me back within an hour. This was our first time with VRBO, it was such a pleasant experience we will be doing it again. So much better then a hotel, it was clean and quiet.

Harris Real Estate Coastal Properties

Our stay at The Hammocks in Unit #1 was unpleasant. The condo was not ready (cleaned) when we go there and we had to wait 1 1/2 hours to get in. I had a confrontation with (owner?) over parking. A bathroom was missing toilet paper holder (roll sitting in back of toilet) and stains on walls of bathroom (yuck). To top it off, one the two keys was missing at check out (our fault) and we were charged $500. The charge included replacing mattress covers and towels that were stained (which were exactly in the same condition that we were supplied with). Rekeying a lock set could cost from $50 -125 (checked local contractor) and I was expecting that. The owner is clearly gouging us.

Dan, I am sorry to hear to you had a bad experience. I am sure you were aware of the 4:00 check in time which you arrived early for. No, cleaning was not finished early (prior to 4 pm check in). If you had requested an early check in I would have tried to accommodate it however if someone had checked out that day we must have time to prep and clean the home for each following guest. There was never any mention at anytime with me during your stay of a confrontation, the owner doesn’t even live on the premises and I never heard from you during your time there. There are only 2 parking spaces available per condo. Yes, a key was missing which I mentioned to you; you never even responded when I asked you about it. This was a smart lock and the lock had to be replaced as it could not be rekeyed. The cost for materials and labor was $250. Linens were damaged during your stay, I am sorry to hear you won’t take ownership of that.. they were replaced for $140 and then we had to pay extra for the cleaning since you left it in such disarray. Again, no mention of uncleanliness at the time of your arrival. We’ve never had any issues with the condition of this property. It seems there were no problems with the property and certainly no communication until I mentioned damages to the property. Again, I am sorry you didn’t enjoy your time and wish you well in renting in the future.

Nice quiet neighborhood.

We had a hard time finding our unit to begin with because the directions sent to us said our unit was on the far left when actually on the far right. The location was good. It was a nice quiet community. We enjoyed watching the golfers off our balcony. The house was pretty clean. The beaches were only an hour away, and there were two great restaurants within ten minutes; Altmans and Speeds kitchen.

Shriner Golf Outing

Property just as described except sleeping capacity. This was a trip for 5 men. The property will sleep 5 men comfortably, 3 beds and two areas to sleep in the living room. This property would sleep 8 if 2 people shared a bed. If you are planning a guys trip this is helpful to know unless you want to share beds. Overall great place, nice covered deck overlooking the 4th green on the golf course. Will stay at this location again.
