North End Beach Cottage Apartment - One block from beach

Darling one bedroom, one bath, second floor beach cottage apartment in the North End section of Virginia Beach . One block from the beach, one block from the state park. Ideally located!

This newly renovated cottage apartment for two includes updated kitchen with granite countertops, new appliances, and washer/dryer; laminate hardwood-like floors throughout; tiled shower with glass door; bedroom with queen sized bed, built-in desk and drawers, and large closet.

This cottage apartment is the perfect couple’s get-away but can also accommodate two people who want to sleep separately (full size pull-out sofa bedding available upon request). Bedroom includes a privacy curtain. There is no door.

Please note: This apartment is in mint condition. The pictures posted on the website are accurate and up-to-date. If upon arrival you notice any damage, please report it to me immediately so I can address it.

The newest addition to the rental space is an outdoor fire pit located on the front patio. Cuddle up around it on a chilly evening with the warm throw blankets and pillows included!

This apartment is for adults only; it is not equipped for children. Minimum age requirement to rent is 21.

All short term rentals are regulated by the City of Virginia Beach and require strict adherence to their guidelines in order to maintain the integrity of the neighborhood. As such, only those renting the property are allowed on the premises after 11pm. No parties or large congregations are permitted.

Quiet time is between 11pm-9am. Please be respectful of your neighbors’ peace and quiet time.

Please lock your cars and the rental property at all times.

No Pets allowed and NO SMOKERS.

Parking is for the renter only (1 space). Please park all the way to the left side in driveway. Visitors can utilize street parking.
Please report any damage you notice upon arrival to me ASAP so I may address it immediately.

Spotless unit with all the amenities that anyone would need. I enjoyed the location, which is quiet and close to the beach. Host has a well thought out stock of what is needed, with even a "forgot to bring" kit in the bathroom. Host was timely with responses to questions and I'll stay again if I'm in the area.

This property is very cute and clean. Easy access to the beach. The one and only issue we had was that you can hear the neighbors in the attached home. They seem to have irregular working hours so we could hear them throughout the night and the smells coming from their kitchen. Otherwise, they never bothered us.

I cannot emphasize enough how perfect this property is. It is ideal for two people and it is exactly what the pictures show - even better. The check-in process was seamless, walking into the cutest apartment was amazing and the host thinks of the little things, which makes the stay feel even more like you are home. We had an instance where I was overcharged (on VRBO side) and the host contacted me about giving back the money; that showed immense integrity and humanity. I would not have known and she made sure to make it right. I also loved the proximity to the beach - it really is steps from the front door. The neighborhood is lovely - a peaceful enclave from the main oceanfront, yet close enough to go enjoy everything. I highly recommend the Shiplap Cottage - it made for a perfect time in Virginia Beach.

Absolutely loved our stay at Shiplap Cottage! The home was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway.
