Soundside Retreat - A Southern, Coastal style home on 2 acres on Santa Rosa Sound.
This retreat property is approximately 10 minutes to Navarre Beach and located in a small private neighborhood of all waterfront secluded properties. At our location, it’s over a mile across Santa Rosa sound to Okaloosa Island so lots of water to have fun!

If you want to visit Destin or head over to Crab Island, you are less than 30 minutes away.

Boasting almost 5000 square feet on the Santa Rosa Sound/ Intercoastal Waterway, this home is perfect for a multi-family or large family vacation get together. The home has 5 oversized bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and an upper and lower living area. All bedrooms and living areas having a view of the water. The property sleeps up to 16 with lots of space to spread out. With a 50 X 100’ of white sand beach area, this is like your own private resort/getaway. You also have a basketball/pickle ball court on the property. The activities on the property and in the Navarre area will keep you and your family busy. When it’s time to wind down, watching the beautiful sunsets from the dock or relaxing on the large back deck will solidify the memories created at Soundside Retreat.

There are 3 King beds, 1 Queen bed, 4 full size bunk beds, 1 Daybed, with trundle and a pull out sofa. All rooms are oversized as you can see from the pictures.

There are two smart TV’s, one upstairs and one downstairs. Smart TV options are available such as Amazon, Hulu, DirectTV now, Vudu, YouTube TV, etc. There are card games and board games and options for indoor activities as well.

The outdoor deck is almost 2000 square feet with an outdoor dining room table and an outdoor couch and two chairs. All you need for some great family time is all on the property. There is a half court basketball court with a regulation 72” professional glass backboard. There are lines painted on the court for pickle ball and (*Update) we just replaced the pickleball set. Bring your own paddles and pickleballs (or pick up a set at the store) and enjoy a quick game before jumping into the sound for a swim.

There is also a 12’ crossfit rig on the beach with multiple stations for pull-ups and an ability to get in a solid workout if that’s your thing.

There is over 50’x100’ of white sand beach to do anything you can imagine. You can also play bocce ball or play cornhole with the supplied equipment.

If you like to fish, you can achieve a Santa Rosa Grand Slam by catching a redfish, speckled trout and flounder all in one day...just off the dock! I know because I’ve done it. There are a plethora of Ladyfish to catch during certain times of the year and in the late summer, huge schools of Jack Crevalle cruising by the dock. You’ll know when the Jack Crevalle are around when you see all the mullet and bait fish jumping out of the water running to the beach. However, it could as mean dolphins are chasing the fish in too! Often you will see dolphin swimming by the dock and chasing bait. If you’d like to fish and need equipment, I would recommend going to the local Wal-Mart which is set up for beach activities. You can buy a very good rod and reel set for under $40. I have seen some rod and reels sets as low as $15. Pick up a few lures and you are in business. Also if you want local fishing advice, go down the street to Half Hitch bait and tackle shop. They can tell you the tips and techniques on local fishing. They have live shrimp which always the best way to assure yourself plenty of action! You can also pick up a 6 or 8’ cast net for fairly cheap . Mullet run in big schools. If you know how to filet fish, there is nothing better than fried mullet and hush puppies, a local favorite! If you like crab, catch some blue crabs to boil or steam for dinner! There are crab traps also available for use.

If you’re looking for a big dose of relax with no one around, some time to squeeze white sand between your toes, walk along the beach barely seeing a soul, watching pelicans dive in the water, enjoy on water sports such as paddle boarding, kayaking, kite surfing, etc then this is a great place to do it. Many guests rent a jetski from Navarre Watersports and enjoy riding around in calmer waters of Santa Rosa Sound. Try towing the kids on a tube! You can fish or swim from the private dock with an extendable ladders, sit on a float and hang out, maybe get a glimpse of dolphins chasing mullet, have a local charter captain take you fishing and pick you up and drop you off at the dock....if you want to try your hand catching fish right off the dock, catch a redfish, speckled trout, flounder, black drum, jack crevalle or some blue crabs for dinner... even better yet, throw a cast net on some mullet and have fried mullet and hush puppies.... mmm, a southern delicacy... this is the place to be.
With the property being nestled on 2 private acres, you’ll have plenty of room to spread out. Play hoops or pickle ball on the half court basketball court, throw the football or kick the soccer ball in the huge yard..in the backyard, Santa Rosa sound is a mile wide at our house so...
