About the area: Bragg Creek is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains where the hamlet has kept the charm of its past - mainly ranching and trading - while being home to a community of artists and local businesses. The quaint picturesque Bragg Creek hamlet is frequently used for movie locations because of its quintessential western themed store fronts and hitching rails, reminiscent of the past. It is located on the "Cowboy Trail" - a scenic 584km highway that runs along the east side of the Rocky Mountains in the Alberta foothills. It is also part of "The Great Trail" - a beautiful 23,921km trail system that weaves, east to west, across Canada. There is also "West Bragg Creek Trails" - 152kms of trails for hikers, bikers, horseback riders and skiers to enjoy. McLean Creek Provincial Recreation Area provides off-road enthusiasts a place to explore.
