Great Property for a Group

Me and my friends used this property for a our golf trip this year. There were 12 of us total, so we were given both houses on the property which gave everyone their own bed. We thought we were only getting the one house, so this was a great surprise. Check-in was a breeze and both houses were very clean and ready for our arrival. The property itself was large with plenty of room for outdoor activities, like some basketball and spikeball. The only thing is that there were more buildings on the property than shown in the pictures so the large green space shown in the cover picture is about half the size in reality. Definitely would book at this property and recommend others to do so as well!!

Beautiful property and accommodation

We were a group of 12 including kids, and everyone really enjoyed the place. Beautiful craftsman details throughout the accomodations. High ceilings make the generous space seem even bigger, and we never felt like we were tripping over each other. Lovely views of the nearby woods from everywhere. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything one might need, comfortable bed linens, lots of folksy arts and craft touches throughout. Our host was on site and very friendly. Kids loved the tree house, there's a cleared pond for skating, we snow-shoed through the woods and open pasture, and enjoyed the huge table that accommodated everyone for meals and games easily. Nice big foyer for everyone's boots and jackets. There is a septic system, and toilet paper must be disposed of vs flushed, unfamiliar but not a big deal and all bathrooms are well set up for that. Balls and toboggans were available on site for use, and a fire pit is also available outdoors. Recycling bins are nicely set up in the kitchen, and there's a large pantry. Ideas for enhancement would be a fireplace for winter guests, although views from plentiful windows are a nice offset, and maybe a hot tub, but those are nice-to-haves, and did not impede our enjoyment of the weekend. Highly recommend this place!

Nice weekend getaway

The location was great and beautiful. A few issues we found were there were tons of flies throughout the place. We would clean it up and then would find more later on. Not sure where they were coming from. The stovetop had burners that weren't working and a knob was missing. The description said the place sleeps 15 with 4 bedrooms but we didn't realize the 4th bedroom was in a completely separate area (main floor) from the rest of the bigger area which required you to go outside and use a different door. Otherwise, we liked the location of the cabin. It was cute and cozy. Would recommend if you're looking for a quick mini getaway that's not too far from Calgary.

Thanksgiving/Birthday fun!!

Our 3 generation family of 10 had a fantastic time celebrating both my husband's birthday and Thanksgiving in this great rustic yet modern log home with lots of conveniences. Not far from Calgary so an easy drive for everyone.

PERFECT for our family birthday party!

Our four little grandchildren (ages 2 - 7) loved the tree house, the play ground and the exploring in the trees, so that made it very enjoyable for the 6 adults (parents and grandparents). :)

Girls weekend

We would definitely stay at the Beaver House again. We had everything that was needed and more. A few suggestions for upgrades would be to tighten the chair screws , they were a bit wobbly and more bending for guests sleeping on the couches.

Relaxing and quiet

Enjoyed a relaxing family getaway at this lovely log cabin. Lots of space for our group of 10 adults and two little ones. Cabin is well equipped with everything we needed. Very nicely furnished with some unique pieces of furniture and comfortable beds. Loved the beautiful, long dining table where we could all enjoy our meals together. Place felt open and airy and the upstairs bedrooms had nice views of the spruce trees covered in snow. Will be returning in the future!!

Beautiful house, beautiful setting, perfect for families and kids!

We stayed at the Beaver House for an extended family getaway (6 adults and 8 kids), and it exceeded our expectations. The property was perfect for the kids, especially the treehouse, playground, and the pond. There are trails and a pond/stream we explored on the property as well and the kids spent all their time outdoors. There's also sports equipment and a basketball hoop, and we all enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evenings. Spencer was very helpful in providing information and made our stay very enjoyable. Everything we needed was in the kitchen (we cooked full meals), and everyone slept well on very comfortable beds. The inside of the house in unique and beautifully decorated as well. We will definitely be returning! The setting is picturesque and beautiful.
