Green Door Lofts-Bo Ho Loft Silos/Downtown

Green Door Lofts, featured on Fixer Upper `Urban Loft Challenge` and referred to as `Funky Town` by Chip, is a 9-unit luxury loft complex in the heart of Waco`s bustling Silo District. We are next door to the historic Hippodrome Dinner Theater and steps away from eclectic shops, antique stores, wine tasting rooms, and live music. Magnolia Market is an easy walk away, or take the free trolley that stops outside. Each loft is crafted with a unique flair and offers a distinct experience.



The Bo Ho Loft is a fun, unique loft home where Magnolia style mixes up with Bo Ho Chic to create a fun, funky urban vibe. There are two bedrooms, each with a comfy king-sized bed with pressed, triple-sheeted linens. There is a private balcony that has a view of the Silos. The loft has an in-unit washer/dryer. Guests will also love the fully-equipped kitchen, complete with coffee, tea, and of course my mom`s cinnamon rolls. Entertainment includes a 65 inch SmartTV with Direct TV/Netflix. Cool LED lighting in the living room and a large mirror disco ball helps set the mood for any occasion. This is our latest high end loft at the Green Door Lofts. The building`s courtyard has a seasonally HEATED pool with lounge chairs and tables. The mezzanine deck overlooks the avenue below - perfect for people watching! Free secure garage parking is provided to our guests at The Green Door Lofts.



A unique code for keyless entry makes check-in and check-out flexible and convenient. The owner lives on-site and can be reached by cell phone any time. We`re happy to provide suggestions for local eateries and activities, in addition to the loft`s information guide.



714 Green Door Lofts gets its name from the famous green door that welcomes residents into the courtyard. The green door is also referred to locally as the Hobbit Door. Immediately next door to the Hippodrome theater, the door serves as a backdrop for visitors on the street stopping and posing for selfies. Countless brides have ventured to the door for their bridal portraits. We love it!! This 9 unit complex is located on a trendy street that links the historic old homes of Waco with the parks along the Brazos River. Next door is the iconic Waco Hippodrome, where you can grab dinner and an adult beverage while watching a play, concert, or show. Waco’s free trolley stops in front of the loft before continuing to the Silos and other downtown shops.



A few blocks away is Cameron Park, a 416-acre stretch of land with hike and bike trails and the Waco Zoo. We are also located within five minutes of Baylor`s McLane Stadium. On game days, Baylor’s free shuttle that runs between downtown and the stadium is only a couple blocks away.



Downtown Waco has plenty of free street parking and Ubers are readily available. We have a secured garage on the first floor for our guests. The loft is walking distance to shops and restaurants. We are directly on the free trolley route for shopping around the Silos.

The location is perfect placing us in walking distance from all of the best places to eat and visit. Although centered in the happening Austin Ave district, it felt privately tucked away once you enter the property. A real retreat. Communication with our host, Jim, was top notch. Almost instant replies, and his detailed instructions made everything from parking to checking in seamless. The BoHo unit is fun with its rotating disco ball, and so very comfortable. King beds with comfortable mattresses and linens were much appreciated. The layout makes this perfect for sharing with friends since the bedrooms and bathrooms are on opposite ends. This was a great place to stay while visiting our college kids as we could host them for dinners, games, and even do some laundry while in town! Highly HIGHLY recommend letting Jim host you at this amazing property!

Great stay!

My husband and I loved our stay at the Green Door Lofts. It was super cute, had a great location (walking distance to so much) and was loaded with lots of "extras." Jim was extremely welcoming and helpful. I've stayed at quite a few VRBOs but this is definitely one of my favorites. I highly recommend this property if you'll be in the Waco area. Thanks Jim!

We so enjoyed staying at the Green Door Loft! It was a clean location within walking distance to the Silos and great restaurants! We loved the pool, too which is rare to find at a rental! Such a great host. He went above and beyond for us. Great communication and even mailed me my hat I left behind. Truly the best!

A perfect weekend

We were in Waco for a wedding which was almost derailed due to a winter storm. The property manager was very accommodating and helped us revise our reservation. The property itself was beautifully decorated and offered every amenity imaginable. The wedding reception was across the street on Austin Ave. You can't get more convenient than that!

The Green Door Lofts is an exceptional property in the heart of Waco. The owner (Jim) lives on property and keeps the rooms in immaculate condition - you would think you were the first person to ever stay there. We stayed in the Bo Ho suite and could not have been happier. Spacious room, with an amazing "extra" balcony since room is on the end, and a disco ball which turned the place into a starry night each evening when we turned the ball motor off (after a night swim in the heated pool). The suite even has some remote controlled blinds. The Silos are a short walk away, Union Hall is 2 min walk with tons of unique and tasty food options (favs were Huaco Eatery for Mexican, blasian Asian for authentic Cambodian food, Po Boy place for a taste of the south, and Village Pizzaria - don't miss the hot honey sauce for the zzz), there's also a wine bar across the street, great coffee shops all around (we loved Dichotomy for coffee and Cafe Cappuccino for more hearty breakfast days) and nothing ever seemed to be more than 5 min way. Thank you, Jim for the awesome experience!

Green Door Lofts are Awesome!

Our stay at the Green Door Lofts was fantastic and our host Jim was great! The place was perfect in all ways! It had been featured in an episode of Fixer Upper, comfy beds, easy access, and close walk to all the Silos and shop of downtown Waco. Jim was a gracious and welcoming host, who provided a wealth of information on Waco and local restaurants and fun things to do in the surrounding area! We can't wait to return again soon!

Exactly as pictured, the BoHo loft was so amazing! Lots of room, super clean and the attention to detail is out if this world! Jim is a great host and very easy to communicate with. We enjoyed every part Green Door Lofts.. from the balcony in our loft to the seating areas in the courtyard and Mama Ruth’s cinnamon buns, we could not ask for anything more! Magnolia trip.

The boho appartment was excellent. Just as depicted. The owner Jim is on sight. He greeted us at 11pm when we finally arrived (plane delay) and helped us carry our luggage. The location was perfect. We walked to the silos! The lofts are excellently decorated. Jim has thought about everything you need from lotions, soap and toothbrushes (I forgot mine) to umbrellas in the hallways in case it rained. Mama Ruths sticky bun was the perfect welcome. Thank you Jim and Ruth for perfect stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Green Door Lofts in Waco, TX! The Retro Loft was nothing short of splendid. That disco ball is the real deal, y'all! The furnishings were top notch, and the decor was absolutely stunning. Jim and his Momma, Ruth, were the best host & co-host team. They gave utmost attention to every detail, from dinner recommendations to homemade cinnamon rolls on the counter! ...not to mention the loft was stocked with an assortment of coffee & tea choices, bottled water, and toiletry essentials. The king bed + queen murphy style bed were perfect for our party of 3! This is a beautiful property, and we felt right at home! Perfect for a weekend getaway! Jim's attention to detail is superb! 5 stars, no doubt!
