The Liberty Residence sleeps four guests across two double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and is our largest of the two main Residences at Le 1500. This stunning barn conversion was completed to the highest standards in 2021 and in addition to its utter wow factor, benefits from a large, south facing private terrace, kitchen, laundry zone, open plan living area, upper floor reading lounge, and, in winter, under floor heating. Guests have access to all the amenities provided in the main property of le 1500 located in the adjacent buildings, including the gym, pool, outdoor cinema, and priority restaurant bookings at Le Cafe 1500. Dating back to the C12th, this historic building has been lovingly restored and guarantees you one of the most impressive places to stay in the area. The Liberty Residence can be booked in conjunction with the adjacent Monument Residence to provide one seamless space for 8 ppl.

The photos don’t do justice to this wonderful characterful property.
Lee and Mike made us so welcome that we will be coming back! On the doorstep to this charming old property, our hosts run a cafe/restaurant and have themed events, such as burger night and Sunday brunch. There’s an outdoor movie night, served with popcorn and Prosecco. With our hosts on hand, nothing was a problem.

About the host
Hosted by Lee and Mike McNeal-Rumsby
Mike is a professional artist and Lee is a hotelier. Together we have taken our vacation house and opened it to bed and breakfast and weekly rental residences. We also opened a cafe which is adjacent to the houses.
Why they chose this property
We wanted something that was close to bigger cities but sat in the middle of vines.
