About this property
Secluded Lakefront Retreat on 7 acres on Lake Quinault
A very private home on Lake Quinault, the south entrance to the Olympic Peninsula National Park and just a few miles away from the famous Lake Quinault lodge and rainforest.
This home is perfect for a family retreat in the woods without sacrificing comforts of home. An open floor plan on the main floor with a complete guest suite and kids bunk room downstairs. Open loft master suite allows for lake views and a true cabin feel. Decks surround the house; enjoy the outdoors with a glass of wine overlooking the lake.
Amazing fishing right from the beach or go for a sunset paddle. Home has two double kayaks [available from May to September*] and is outfitted with all kinds of games for family fun (giant jenga, puzzles). Kitchen has everything you would need to cook your favorite family recipes or to grill up the trout you catch. Brand new kitchen remodel in Spring 2026. Kitchen has microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker.
Just a mile into the small town of Amanda Park which sports a mercantile store (get all your groceries and your fishing license here), an internet cafe and a great little pizza joint/pool hall.
No better place to get away from it all and create amazing family memories.
There are two double kayaks and two kids sit on top kayaks available for guest use during the Spring and Summer*. There is also a good selection of life vests from kid size to adult (located in the storage bench in the breezeway).
* Due to rising level of the lake during the Fall and Winter months, it is not safe to kayak in Lake Quinault. Kayaks and paddleboard are available from May to September.
If you wish to bring your own water craft: Note that any boat, kayak or paddle board must be inspected before it can be used in the Lake Quinault. Inquire for additional information.

This house has everything you need. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook. House is spacious and has lots of room for a group. We had kids there to fish and they loved it. Got their licenses at the store. Fished from the shore and took kayaks out. Deck was great for eating and sitting and enjoying the view. Property is clean and great for walks. Excellent views, no neighbors, quiet and just what we needed. Definitely will be back.
We had such a wonderful stay at this lake house! The home was incredibly comfy, beautiful, and very clean, which made it easy to relax as soon as we arrived. It is nicely tucked away, giving the place a peaceful and private feel that made our stay even more enjoyable. The kitchen was great as well. It was spacious, clean, and well equipped. Everything in the house felt thoughtfully set up and comfortable. One of the things we appreciated most was that it is pet friendly, so we were able to bring our furry family member along and enjoy the trip together. Between the beautiful setting, the cozy and clean home, and the quiet location by the lake, it was the perfect getaway.Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing lake retreat. We would happily stay here again.
We had a lovely, relaxing stay at this beautiful property. The house had everything we needed and our hosts even provided s’mores fixings’ and roasting sticks. So thoughtful. We will definitely be back!
This is our second stay at Trout House, and it was wonderful, AGAIN! We will be back. The home is spotless and has everything needed for a great time. Thank you!!!
The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to do during our trip. The house is spacious with an amazing view of the lake, and we really enjoyed having a fully equipped kitchen. The only thing that would have made it even better would be a TV in the living room, so that we could relax together after our long days of adventure, since it was raining most of the time during our stay.

Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed your trip (but sorry it rained for you). We did finally add a TV into the den last year which I recognize isn't quite as comfy as the living room. We do have a projector that can be attached to your ipad or computer to stream movies on the living room wall (for next time).
Very nice house and lot on lake. Clean and roomy. The binder providing information about the area and things to do was very useful. Only odd thing was needing to drive thru the local school parking lot to access property.
Beautiful! Beautiful! Love the wrap around deck! Love the view of the lake! The amenities were perfect. Super clean and cozy. Would recommend to anyone! We loved our stay - and of course Olympic National Park.
We enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful few days at Quinault Lake. The weather was lovely, so we could take advantage of the comfortable seating on the decks that surround the house. Cooking was a pleasure in the well appointed kitchen, with all the spices and appliances we needed. Whether kayaking on the lake, hiking the rainforest trails, cooking up s’mores on the lakeside campfire, or just enjoying the lake view, we enjoyed our time here, and hope to return.
We had such an amazing time! The location was perfectly secluded, offering a peaceful escape with beautiful lake access. We loved spending time on the water and taking advantage of the paddle board, kayaks, canoe. Our pups had the best time jumping in and out of the lake—it was pure joy to watch. Kelly was a wonderful host, quick to respond and very accommodating to any questions we had. This spot truly exceeded our expectations and cannot wait to come back.
This is where we go to reset, restore, and re-energize. We love staying here, and in the middle of a long, gray winter, my mind wanders to the beach chairs and the quiet patio. We're coming back next summer.
Gorgeous property, so clean and well-appointed! Already looking forward to our next stay!

We are a family of 5 that loves to travel and has stayed at hundreds of vrbo properties all over the world. So when we bought a lake house in the Olympic Peninsula rainforest we knew we had to share it with other families.
Why they chose this property
We love lakes! And Lake Quinault is beyond beautiful and peaceful. The house is on 7 acres and you may stay for a week and not see another soul on this part of the lake. Easy access to the Washington coast and great rainforest hikes.
What makes this property unique
Very secluded property right on the lake with a peaceful beach. Swim and kayak or just relax on the wrap around porch. Lots of outdoor seating including dining, high end outdoor furniture and gas fire table. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities of home.
