Absolutely fantastic! We were sad to leave ! Brenda was so helpful and always available for our questions. We were out in the kayaks everyday ! It was a very peaceful, beautiful place to enjoy Olympic park. We will definitely be back and would definitely want to use this property again! The kitchen was fully equipped for all of our cooking needs and the grill came in useful for salmon and burgers. We have made many memories and were so grateful we were able to stay here for our vacation!
House was clean, abundantly stocked, warm & cozy. The view compares to none other … peaceful lake water lapping at the rocks on shore, moon light reflecting off the water, occasional visit from robins, crows & osprey, toasty crackling fire pit/seating for roasting marshmallows … so much more for the ultimate get away. Thank you !!!

I'm so glad you enjoyed all those natural beauty experiences!
We loved this little lake cabin as a home base for us to explore the Quinalt area and Olympic NP beaches. We had a great stay and had everything we needed. You will want to bring your own shampoo but if you decide not to travel with it, like we did, there is a small convenience store a couple of miles away. The kayaks were a fun bonus and we did have one morning where the lake was like glass that we got out and enjoyed them. The kitchen is tight because of appliances that are too big for the space but it wasn't a problem. It was also unbearably hot inside when we got there due to unseasonably warm weather, the drapes being open to let in the sun, and the AC being off. We were able to cool it off quickly but the upstairs bedrooms can get really hot. We appreciated the fans and AC. Thanks for the wonderful stay.
House is very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. This is our 2nd time there and already booked next Labor Day Weekend. The location is amazing. So beautiful and quiet. Love it!
Everything was great! Had a little trouble finding the cottage but other than that the satay was wonderful!!!! Thanks for letting us stay in your cottage.
Gorgeous setting for this lovely cottage on Lake Quinault! The cottage is comfortable, well furnished and has everything you need. There were a few things showing some signs of wear (e-lockbox, bedroom blinds, etc) but they were minor. Outdoor seating area, kayaks and even landscaping were all great! Yes, we would stay here again.

Convenient location for exploring the Quinault rainforest and beautiful beaches. Enjoyed watching the bald eagle family and a raft of river otters while sitting on the deck. The property had everything needed for a great vacation!
We enjoyed the adirondacks in front of the lake very much. We saw otters and bald eagles right in the mornings and the day evenings

About the host
Hosted by Brenda Sansom Obias
Owner/manager: Brenda Sansom My family moved to Lake Quinault for the love of the area in1975. I graduated from Lake Quinault High School, married and raised a family of three daughters who all graduated from Lake Quinault High School as well. Our love for this wonderful place generated from generations of both sides of the family who also lived, schooled and raised families here. With our love for nature, the great outdoors and wildlife, Lake Quinault has fulfilled all our activities, and all our tranquility of our relaxation needs. I am fortunate to be able to share this spectacular vacation area of Lake Quinault and Olympic National Park with people from all over the world and provide comfortable clean accommodations to our visitors. My greatest joy is to continue to share this amazing place with my family and my five grandsons. They all say that life is a dream at Lake Quinault!
Why they chose this property
Cottage Cove is located in the Olympic National Park and a beautiful temperate rainforest with recorded world largest trees, fern beds, dripping moss and worlds largest variety of mushrooms as well as aboundance of wildlife. For such a beautiful place there are a minimum of accomodations for the amount of visitor in this area. I offer four seperate comfortable , clean homes for guests to stay and have a chance to really enjoy our area. It will be unforgetable!
What makes this property unique
Available property to buy on Lake Quinault has always been scarce due to the boundaries of Olympic National Park, US Forest Service and Tribal land. We owned the home next to Cottage Cove and had been renting as a vacation home Since 1996. Over the years our business grew and we had established a successful business. We constantly had requests from our guests asking for additional accommodations, so they can bring more friends and family. When this home, next door to Cottage Peaks came up for sale, the previous owners gave us first option to buy! We were lucky to have the opportunity and very grateful! The loop drive around Lake Quinault is spectacular! Drive is very scenic and great for wildlife viewing, Mountain and river viewing. The world's largest spruce is located on the grounds of the rain forest resort. Kalaloch and Ruby Beach, just 30 min. Dr North You will benefit from a central location on the water, be within10 minutes from hiking trails and 30 minutes from ocean beaches. Also, 1 1/2 hr from Forks, WA (twilight series location). Also located in route of the Olympic Penninsula loop drive to Kalaloch and Ruby Beach, Forks, Port Angeles, Squim, Quilcene and Hood Canal.
