Beautifully sited in the heart of Beaufort's historic district "Old Point" which has been the backdrop for many movies -including "The Big Chill"-, and which is known for its charming streets, lovely live oaks draped with Spanish moss and picturesque homes, this charming 1,000+/- sq. ft., one-bedroom sun-filled cottage is diagonally across from the scenic 'Reflection Pond' and is on the path of the carriage tours. Front and side porches let you enjoy balmy breezes and are the perfect setting for a quiet conversation or reading a book. It also has a dedicated terrace on King St with a istro table and grill so one can enjoy dining 'al fresco'. Just a few blocks from the inter-coastal waterway, restaurants, shopping, USCB (home of the Beaufort Film Festival) and the much filmed Pinckney Park, it's also an easy drive to Hunting Island's stunning beaches, an hour from Savannah and 90 minutes to Charleston. We live "across the courtyard" so are close in the event of any questions or concerns.
Why they chose this property
The house was built in 2002 and was modeled after a Georgia 'plantation' home - the quality of the work on the interior (panelling, moldings, etc) is really lovely and extremely unusual in a new home..truly captivating
What makes this property unique
The living space is extremely gracious, the bedroom is very generous/large and there's a great walk-in closet. The location is one of the best Beaufort has to offer....
