Beach Retreat 209 Destin Miramar Beach

We had an amazing stay at Beach Retreat 209! The condo is beautiful with breathtaking views, and the oversized deck was perfect for enjoying coffee while watching the sunrise from the master bedroom. Beach access is super easy, and we loved the clean, quiet environment—our pup enjoyed the soothing sounds of the waves too. We can't wait to return for another fantastic getaway! Highly recommend this lovely condo!

We loved staying in unit #209 at Beach Retreat! Everything from selecting and paying for the condo to check out on our final day went absolutely smoothly! And the condo is beautifully decorated! Location is superb! I will most definitely rent from the Claytons again!

We had a very enjoyable two weeks at Beach Retreat 202. Super nice well equipped condo in a fantastic location with easy access to the beach, a balcony with a great view of the ocean, nice walking trail/sidewalk for people and pets, secure parking, several excellent seafood restaurants nearby. Property manager was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay in your condo. This condo is located in a very beautiful setting right across from the beach. One thing we found, your toaster needs to be replaced, it burns the bread on one side. I would stay here again.

Beachfront perfection

Property was fantastic. Property Management company was very responsive. Apartment was above expectations, right on the beach, beautifully decorated, well stocked. Best part of Miramar Beach. Had an awesome week. The only think that could add to the experience would be to supply beach towels for use with the complimentary chairs and umbrella service which is a very nice touch. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Phenomenal.

Senior-year spring break vacation. All four families stayed at Beach Retreat in four separate units and we were all very pleased. Our unit was even better in real life than than the pictures. Very comfortable and accommodating in every way. All amenities were top notch but the star of the show was beautiful Miramar Beach. The beach is spectacularly clean - sugar sand white beach and emerald green tropical water. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and Golf close. We will be back!! My

Beach retreat 209

The condo is in a great location with good amenities (pool, private beach access with chairs, walking distance to restaurants). However it was not cleaned prior to our arrival: sheets not changed, toilet had feces in it, food on floor, rugs were covered in debris and dirt, laundry left in the dryer. It was very disappointing. The owner did bring us clean sheets in the evening of check in so I was grateful for that. My husband and I were able to get the washer free of mold so that it was usable but the place needs a thorough cleaning.

Not Clean

My husband and I stayed here with our 21 month old daughter and our chocolate lab mix. We were very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of this condo. The doors and cabinets were all dirty and grimy looking. The cabinets in the master bathroom are falling apart. When I opened the drawers to put things away one was full of a previous guest's hair and another filled with various pills and vitamins. The bathtub in the guest bath was so dirty I had to scrub it before I could bathe my daughter in there. The floor was so dirty that our feet would be black after walking around for a while. We had to buy Swiffer cloths and clean the floor. It finally looked and felt cleaner after I had Swiffered it 5 times. We also had to go out and buy towels and wash cloths because the ones provided were stained and dirty looking. One of the rules when you bring a pet (which we were very happy to be able to do) is that you have to clean up the pet hair on the floor. I did not have a problem doing this, but the two brooms provided are quite worn out, and the vacuum did not have very good suction and when it was turned on it smelled like stinky dogs. When we informed Laura about the lack of cleanliness she said the cleaning crew would come out to clean. We left for over an hour at the time she said they would be there, but they never came. I told her not to bother at that point because we had pretty much cleaned what needed to be cleaned in order for us to be comfortable. Also, by no fault of the owner, we could hear a lot of noise from the people above us. We could hear their footsteps and everytime they moved a chair or any other piece of furniture (which was often). I did not consider this when renting thinking a condo would be more soundproof than a hotel room, but it certainly was not. Your view from the balcony is beautiful, but it is blocked to the leftt by a palm tree and to the right by an ugly grey building across the street. Laura did assist us when we made a complaint about the dogs in the condo next door. They were barking incessantly and when we asked the owners to quiet them they just laughed. Laura called the owner of that condo who spoke with the people. Generally though I would say that from booking the condo to checkout both Laura and Renee were very business-like but not friendly. There was never a "hope you enjoy your stay," an apology for our issues, or a "hope you'll be our guest again in the future. We won't rent from them again.
