Joel was a terrific host. We arrived as Hurricane Nola was offshore and suggested that we spend the night in Kona vs making the drive in the rain and the dark. He refunded that night's rent! The room was super clean with some thoughtful touches. The fruit and candy was much appreciated and the shower was wonderful. It was only 5 nights from Volcano National Park and about a half hour to Hilo. Thanks again for making our stay great even through all the rain.

We went to Volcanoes National Park. Rainbow waterfalls, wakiloa beach , parasailing at kona, dined at on the rocks and went to the southern most bakery in the US.Also attended a meeting at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. We had to drive to everything but worth it........

Our stay at this vrbo was perfect. Very short distance to the Volcano National Park. We went in at night to try and get a glimpse of the lava flow. No luck but still did not disappoint.

It was convenient and clean. A little bizarre that you had to leave the bedroom and go out in a foyer to use the toilet.

Perfect couples overnight stay.

Host is super responsive and accommodating. For an overnight visit to VNP area this is a perfect sleep and shower for a couple.

Great stay

Joel let us know that morning that an eruption had started. We were able to see it and have a fabulous stay without worrying about rushing back. The condo was great, very clean and as advertised. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

Great spot for a Volcano National Park visit!

Perfect spot for us before starting out to VNP! Quiet, with all the little touches that made us super comfy. Our host was quick to answer questions before our trip so we could enjoy ourselves fully.

Perfect for an overnight to Volcano National Park

Was about a 5 minute drive to park, was well outfitted with everything you need after a day hiking. Wonderful shower, and towel heater. Would stay there again.

Great stay close to the National Park

This is a great property just a few minutes away from the national park. The place was super clean and had everything and more you would ever need to stay there. Joel gave us hiking suggestions, and a great pizza place at volcano lodge. We would definitely recommend his place to anybody staying in the area.

Perfect location and great communication!

This is the perfect spot to stay if you want a bit more time to explore Volcanoes National Park and beat the crowds. Joel was great with communication and recommendations and as he said, we won the volcano lottery when the crater started erupting the morning we arrived!

Super stay on our short visit to Volcano

Stayed here on our short trip to the national park. It was a perfect location and a lovely little place that was easy to locate, yet perfectly quiet. Joel was really communicative and answered all my questions and gave advice on where to visit and the weather conditions. It was a perfect location for the night - thank you!
