Charming Studio w/Balcony- Downtown

Escape to our studio located in a private Spanish courtyard with bubbling fountains conveniently located within blocks of historic downtown (with its MANY restaurants and shops) San Luis Obispo and the 101 Freeway. Enjoy coffee out on the private patio with the sounds of fountains running and birds chirping from the on-site aviary or relax watching cable TV before heading downtown or going for a hike nearby! Cold out? Cozy up to the fireplace while reading a book and sipping on some local wine.

The space

The entire studio for rent is in an AMAZING location. It is conveniently located in a quiet, safe neighborhood within a few blocks of the 101 North and South freeway. It is within 5 blocks of beautiful downtown historic San Luis Obispo, which makes it a super short walk downtown to enjoy the many wonderful restaurants, sites, bars, and shops that are there (not to mention the Thursday night Farmer's Market!). Downtown is the "hub" of San Luis Obispo so there's no better place to be.

Parking is available on the street for free (no permit necessary!).

This Spanish style studio is in a private Spanish courtyard above another apartment and next door to the main home on the property. It has a huge deck that is perfect for drinking coffee or just relaxing. The balcony overlooks a fountain and has a nice view of the town.

The home consists of one living area (with a comfy queen size bed and a small couch) with a kitchen area, bathroom, and large walk-in closet. The bathroom has a shower and a large soaking tub. The bathroom window has a view of Madonna Mountain (It's actually called Cerro San Luis but is more commonly referred to as Madonna Mountain). There is a hair dryer in the bathroom for your use as well. There is a closet with plenty of space for luggage and hanging clothes. There is also a full kitchen available for your use. There is a microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker (coffee pods are provided as well), and hot water pot that is provided for your use. There are also cups/bowls/silverware/etc. for your use as well. Half and half and sugar are provided for your convenience. Kitchen essentials like pots/pans/etc come stocked in the home as well.

The home has an electric fireplace that functions as a fireplace and as a heater. **It's extremely efficient so it is turned off during periods of warm weather and the summer months. You won't need it.

This place is ideal for 1 or 2 people.

Non-smoking home & property. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside of the home. Smoking on the premises will lead to a forfeiture of the security deposit. No illegal drugs.

Clean towels, bedding, etc. are all provided.

Wi-fi network provided.

The wall-mounted TV has cable with over 100 channels, including movie channels. The TV is also connected to a blu-ray player which enables you to access Hulu, Pandora, and Netflix (you would need to access your own accounts).

-Many bus stops close by. The main bus transit hub is approximately 10 minutes walking distance away.
-Downtown San Luis Obispo is only 5 blocks away!
-Historic Jack House 4 blocks away.
-Park two blocks away with free outdoor fitness center.
-There are two other parks within 10-15 minutes walking distance.
-MANY restaurants, bars, shops, etc. within 6 blocks. There is an amazing sushi restaurant and Italian restaurant approximately 5 blocks away.
-Mission is a 5 minute walk.
-5 minutes walking distance to the bottom of the trail head for Madonna mountain (Cerro San Luis). (The hike is moderately strenuous and takes about an 1-2 hours)
-15 minutes driving distance to Avila Beach
-5 minute drive to Cal Poly
-15 minutes driving distance to many wineries within San Luis Obispo
-30 minute drive to Paso Robles (well known internationally for its wineries)
-7 minute drive to the airport
-10 minute drive to Cuesta College
-50 minute drive to Hearst Castle
-20 minute drive to Morro Bay- Great place for clams and seafood!

This home is very unique. It's in a Spanish courtyard. The house that it shares the property with is very old. This home is a recent addition to the property.

Other Notes:

There is an aviary of lovebirds and budgies outside (attached to the main house). They're not very loud but you can hear them if you're sitting on the deck.

There are 3 little dogs on the property. They will not be loose in the yard but you may hear them at some point. They're very sweet and they don't bark a lot but just a heads up. They do not live in this home. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate any more pets.

NOTE: There are stairs that go up to the apartment. There is no elevator.
