The direction are in the welcome guide routing you on a paved road all the way, telling you where to turn sorry that you did not see them. There is laundry detergent, I would have been glad to show you where it was located, please ask next time. I was unaware of the filthy bathroom floor, all you had to do is ask for me to clean. I brought over dish soap and there is plenty of dishwasher soap. I also supplied regular soap to wash your hands and body. I cleaned the ceiling fans about 30 days ago and they are clean see photos. I replaced the furnace filter 10 days prior to your stay and do this regularly. The stairs are not narrow and are standard width 7-inch rise with an 11-inch run you can see stair angle in basement photos . My mom and dad used these stairs up to the age of 92. This is a gradual slope lot see rental photos not steep, you must be thinking of some other place you stayed. This is not a resort and yes you have to move kayaks 75 feet to the lake from their storage location next to the house. We do provide life jackets, we do not provide XXXL life jackets, again all you have to do is ask (see photos). Leaving items out on the dock or walkway creates a tripping hazard and can be blown around or away. It is for your safety all items are put away and easily accessed by our guest this includes kayaks, paddleboards, peddle boat, lily pad, floaties and life jackets. Let me tell you about cleaning companies at the Lake, they do not wash mattress covers, pillows, bedspreads, air vents, ceiling fans, carpet clean, change furnace filters, clean outside garbage cans (to eliminate smells) or pressure spray dock, deck and concrete, blow off walkways, deck and stairs of acorns and leaves, spray for bugs on dock, treat lawn for ticks, or Inspect for wasp and bees. I do all these things and more. If there is a issue then I can fix it ASAP because all you had to do is ask. Pointing things out after your stay does not help anyone. I will be posting pictures of your said issues in my rental photos so others can determine what you say is true or false. She stated that she wanted to bring a few more people than 8 as requested 5 days before the reservation. When asked how many more the few grew to 7 more which would be 15 when the house clearly states max 10. She wanted to discuss this over the phone I told her there was nothing to discuss. A few grew to just about twice the original amount so the answer to increasing the head count was no. If I did not live next door then She would have brought these extra people down without telling me and cheat me out of revenue and most likely damage the property. She also broke the rules as they chain smoked on the deck and dock and smoking was allowed only around fire pit and burn barrel. There is no hole in the floor as she stated and the house is not dirty as we clean and wash each time. If it was dirty then she had every opportunity to point this out as I live next door, nothing was mention to me. She is mad because I would not allow more people than what was booked 5 days before the reservation and I would not discuss this over the phone when there was nothing to discuss. so she gives a bad review.

When I heard someone screaming (child) how another child went into the water off the dock without a lifejacket who was not being watched by an adult, I spoke up. You might not like the house rules but when you put someone's life in danger I am going to insist that you must follow house rules that all children must wear lifejackets on the dock. After that you still did not follow the house rules and some of the kids still did not wear lifejackets. You can rate me as low as you want but when it comes to kids safety and the lack of parents supervision on a dock that I own, I would do it again and insist that you make sure your kids have life jackets on. It is a shame that you base your rating on your lack of parent supervision of your kids around water.
