Disappointed

The floor was absolutely filthy, everytime you walked across the floor your feet would be black with dirt. The golf cart was horrible to drive, could possibly hurt someone unless it gets fixed.

Overall great condo for a single family stay. Updated decor/features, quiet, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to prepare dinner or drinks. The beds were comfy, the master shower is phenomenal, and the view out of the back window looking out over the harbor is tough to beat. The Sandestin community is always a good time and the included golf cart made getting around to the restaurants and shops super convenient and fun. My only complaints/suggestions are minor: When we arrived, the golf cart wasn’t plugged in to the charger and it seemed to not have any charge on it at all. Disappointing because the first thing the kids wanted to do was go for a ride. After plugging it in and waiting a couple of hours, I went to check it and still no juice. So I got to messing with it and discovered that it was in “tow” mode. Once I flipped the switch to “run” it worked great for the rest of the trip. It would go a long way if that was checked before a new guest arrives. The shower in the guest bathroom leaked water past the drip pan and onto the floor in the doorway. Not a big deal to us to dry it up after each use, but something that needs to be addressed before the floors are ruined. Lastly, the remotes for 2 out of the three TV’s didn’t have batteries in them. Again, easy to work around, but something that would go a long way if checked before a new arrival. Overall, the condo was everything we need as a family and we had a great time. I’d stay here again.

Great golf cart - okay to stay

We loved the use of the golf cart - super easy to get everywhere and communication was great. Some issues with the house that would prevent us from staying there again. The water for showers never stayed hot. We called and someone came out to do all they could, but not enough hot water for even 4 quick showers after the beach definitely not for 6. The other issues was the side room with extra trundle- it has a big window with no shade, so impossible to sleep in once the sun rises - such an easy fix to put blinds or a shade. We also had a roach in the kitchen - I know bugs are common, but maybe exterminate again? Overall, okay stay.

Experience at Heron Walk

The condo was pretty clean. We were disappointed with the golf cart replacement and never used the one that was left for us. The on property tram service was convenient.

Relaxing vacation home.

My family really enjoyed the rental. The golf cart is a big bonus when staying in Sandestin. We enjoyed driving through the tunnel over to the beach side and also the short drive to Baytown Wharfe.

Great Quick Trip

This was great for us and our three small kids. The golf cart was amazing. It was fun to just drive around to the shops, beach and the wharf. It was safe for small crawlers: large rugs, no glass tables, etc. The floor was pretty dirty. Only first noticed bc of how dirty the baby’s knees were. Never thought to ask about or look for blackout curtains in a listing. It was pretty bright so kids were up with sun. Pretty view out of the large window though. We even enjoyed the Tuesday night fireworks from the daybed window. Comfortable couch and beds. LOVE the community!!

Good but could have been excellent!

The home and location were great however there was flooding in the parking lot directly in front of the entrance which caused us to have to step into ankle deep water at anytime we arrived or departed by either car or cart! I understand that the weather can’t be controlled but the flooding can and should be corrected. Otherwise it was awesome!
