Quiet location

Appartment was comfortable, had everything we needed although we did not use a much as ate out through our wks stay. Communication was not with the owner of the property it was with a friend called Patricia who emailed & txt to see if we we're okay. Location was very quiet, around 25 - 30 min walk into town depending how quick you walk. Would stay again.

Winter 2023

We stayed here over winter months. Disappointed that not one pool was heated. Excellent location for walking to beaches and town. Host very helpful and easy to reach for any questions or problems. House very well equipped. Comfortable bed too.

A Good Retreat

Casa Veronic suited us perfectly. When we arrived we were quite under the weather. We used both very comfortable beds and cooked much of our food for the first few days in the relatively well equipped kitchen. Proximity to a wide variety of grocery stores was good (by car) and a good mini market steps away. Carvoeiro was an easy walk down the hill. Walking distance to great restaurants - highly recommend Monte do Mar. Good central location for driving excursions through the Algarve. Patricia is an excellent property manager and was easy to connect with. Would definitely stay here again.

Veronique apartment

The property was clean and tidy and in a good location. The area at the back is a bit of an eyesore and untidy looking but wouldn't put me off returning. Only small fault I can add is it could do with providing more than 1 towel per person for a week but not sure if this is standard or not in these type of properties. Patricia who handled our booking and was responsible for our check in and departure was excellent and very efficient

I stayed at this villa for 10 days and while it was conveniently located to walking to the town and many places it fell very short of expectations based on the amenities and pictures. The villa is a bit dated which is ok but there are no instructions for how to use things. We are American and didn’t know how to use the washer or that a dryer wasn’t included (said it was). The television was only in French and after 4 days of sleeping on the couch we went back to the listing to figure out where the pull down bed was. The neighbors upstairs were EXTREMELY loud at all hours. Feral cats made the back area unusable because it was a literal litter box and smelled so badly. It was also quite run down with a broken umbrella and unsightly. We had minimal supplies (paper products, trash bags, dishwasher tablets-2) for a 10 day stay which is perhaps the norm. The washing machine had a strong mold smell as did the bedroom closet. I had to remove pillows to outside because the smell was so bad. The listing said a King bed and showed multiple comforters but it was a full sized bed with a twin comforter that we fought to cover 2 people. Another couple in our wedding party stayed 2 doors down and said their villa was similar so perhaps these are just very dated but they are British so it’s not just an “American” expectation.

I am deeply sorry that my apartment did not live up to your expectations, despite major renovation work carried out this spring. Some of your observations raised questions for me, and I would like to address them. There is a binder in the bookcase where you will find all the information about the accommodation as well as outdoor activities. I explicitly specified in one of our exchanges that you could call Patricia if needed; she would have been delighted to help you with the household appliances. The bed in the living room is built into a bookcase unit, which the photos on the platform clearly show. In the apartment description, I did not list a tumble dryer, in a country where summer temperatures exceed 30°C. The bed in the bedroom is large, and I cannot push the walls to accommodate American-sized bedding. All the duvets are usable. As for the musty smell in the bedroom, it did not exist when I left the apartment. Regarding the cat litter box, I will remove it, of course; I can understand that it might bother you. Cats are very well loved in Portugal and live their own lives. Nevertheless, I hope you were able to enjoy the wonderful landscapes and magnificent beaches that the Algarve has to offer. There is a gentleness of life here that many people appreciate, and Quinta do Paraiso is part of it. Your wife seems to have enjoyed her stay, as she wrote: "we are having a lovely vacation".

Schöne Unterkunft in toller Anlage

A lovely apartment in a relaxing place

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It is well equipped and finished to a high standard. The garden area was a nice bonus also. It is located about 15 minute walk to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants to sample. The only negative was that one of the nearby apartments are renovating so the noise first thing in the morning interrupted what would have been quite a peaceful start. Hopefully they will be finished soon! Would definitely go back.
