This one of a kind mid-century modern home sits above a peaceful mountain stream located in Wernersville Pa. The home has two bedroom, bathroom with walk-in shower and combined dining/living room with a cozy modern fireplace and a 60" 4K tv. Relax year around in the large outdoor hot tub while listening to the sounds of the peaceful creek and birds singing. A short 10-20 minute drive you'll find hiking trails, shopping and most any restaurant you can imagine. Hershey Park & Amish Country 45min

The house offers two well-appointed bedrooms, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. Great Place for a weekend stay

We had an excellent time at this house and enjoyed the unique design, as well as the hot tub! Everything went smoothly with the host and we would absolutely stay again.

LOVE this house!

Staying here was so relaxing and peaceful. The location is a perfect combination of accessibility and privacy. This home has everything you could ask for, including the most comfortable furniture we have ever slept on. My dogs were fascinated with the goats across the street, adding to the ambiance of the home, Jeff and Theresa are wonderful hosts and we thank them for sharing their home with us! Will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful weekend away

This property was absolutely perfect. It was so charming and cozy (fireplace! babbling brook!), the couch and the beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed (including oils and spices) for us to cook cozy dinners. Plus, hot tub! We came for a girls' weekend away, but I plan on booking a romantic getaway with my husband in the future. Definitely recommend!

Luxury home away from home

My partner and I did not want to leave this house. We loved it! Although we left during our stay to do some hiking, we never went out to eat. We bought some groceries, and the house had everything else we needed for our vacation to be just the two of us.

Relaxing getaway

My husband, son and I had to stay in Reading area for state wrestling tournament for the weekend and wanted something more comfortable than a hotel. This home was so relaxing after the long days at the tournament. You could hear the water from the creek running while relaxing in the living room. The home had all the amenities needed for our stay. Communication with the owner was seamless. We would love to stay again if we are in the area.

Cool Mid-Century Vibe

My husband and I stayed in this house for two weeks and really enjoyed our time there. We loved the design and setting. It was wonderful to sit outside and listen to the birds and the babbling brook. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. There was a plumbing issue that arose during our stay and Jeff had a plumber come out and fix it within a couple of hours. Overall very good experience - we would recommend!

Mid-Century with a flat screen

During our weekend stay at the Preston Spohn House we enjoyed a number of things – the architecture and its history; sight and sound of the stream beneath; view of the treetops; private yet close to town; comfortable beds; hot tub in December; high speed internet; and the unique experience with our teenage kids. Amazing getaway

You will absolutely love this property. It is nestled away from it all and I guarantee you will have a lovely relaxing stay. The property is about 50 minutes from Lancaster and only 15 minutes from the town. The home itself is comprised of a midcentury modern architectural beauty built on top of a stream. It is beautifully remodeled with extreme attention to detail. We absolutely loved the comfy furniture, the inviting living spaces, the beautiful decor, and modern technology. The television with surround sound was very large, and clear with had many apps for different movies and shows. The king-size bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The kitchen had all of the necessities and more. Although the weather was chilly, we even enjoyed the hot tub. We stayed here in November for a long weekend, truly had a wonderfully relaxing time.

I wish we could stay forever.

We loved every aspect of this home. We come from a city with lots of noise and were pleasantly surprised that even though the home is close to the road, there is not a lot of traffic. Pro’s : the bed was the best sleep we have had in years! The porch, the fire pit, the big shower, smart tv, basic kitchen ware(bring tinfoil), kuerig & coffee pods, the light from the windows, the a/c, all wonderful. The Con’s: black walnuts. Not really a complaint but it’s almost autumn and they were falling. Chose not to use the hot tub due to this. Ohhh another pro- nature. We had deer in the backyard, raccoons visiting the stream, chickens next door and goats across the street. Lots of birds too! Our puppers loved watching out the windows. If we find ourselves back in this area, we would absolutely rebook!

Calm and welcoming

This home is very warm and welcoming. Jeff was very easy to get in contact with. Although the check in process was not as easy. The information given for check in was incorrect. But i was able to contact Jeff immediately and fix the issue.. Loved the home!!!! The welcome binder not available during our stay and would have been great to have instructions available to instruct how to use the entertainment system especially because I was not technically savvy. It Took a while to get the system to work. But overall enjoyed our stay!!!! Thank you Jeff for sharing you home with us.

Back in time

House was unique with enough room for two of us. We typically bring everything we need (Ex toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen towels, hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags) but were pleasantly surprise to find everything we needed was there.

Amazing honeymoon

Me and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was nothing less then magnificent. The place was spotless. There was a cute basket left for us with local root beer and pretzels. The hot tub was perfect and well kept. Super happy and already planning on coming back. So many amazing restaurants in the area that also deliver!! The farm across the street has goats and you can hear them when sitting in the back deck. It was such a nice atmosphere.
