This is the third time we have stayed at the Mt. Baker Beach House and I am sure that we will be back again. The house has outstanding views inside and out with just a short walk to the beach. It’s also just a short drive to East Sound, but far enough away that it’s very quiet and private.

Thank you for staying with us again! We're so glad you continue to enjoy the beautiful views and peaceful location. We truly appreciate your loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit!
The host was very welcoming and checked in with us almost every day just to make sure we were doing all right and see if we needed anything. The home accommodated our Christmas family gathering of three couples and a baby beautifully. The location is spot on, accommodations are lovely, clean, and so comfortable. This was our second stay – highly recommended!

Thank you for staying we are so happy you had a nice time again at the home with your family and we welcome you back any time for another visit and stay.
Amazing time with family. Home has one of the best views on the island. We’re going to miss the epic sunrises and wildlife right outside the back door.

Thank you for staying we agree this home does have some nice views of the water we welcome you back any time for another stay.
Myself and two friends spent a week at this fabulous house. We loved the location! Quiet and peaceful with fantastic views. Easy drive to Eastsound and Moran State Park.
This is a great place to stay for our family of 4. Beautiful views, easy access to the beach, great patio and deck to enjoy the sights and sounds of the water. House was clean and checkout was simple. I'm sure we'll stay here again.
I live on the East side of Camano Island, facing Port Susan. My views of the water, Cascades, and Mt.Baker don’t even compare. My family from Ca. and Id. Were stunned by the views. The home was exceptional. Clean, comfortable, very accommodating. The well maintained steps down to the beach made many lovely walks along the water. Thank you.
Great view of the water and the Mt Baker. Got lucky enough to see 3 orca swim by. Also saw seals and herons. Patio space is nice. House was comfortable with a large living area and master suite. There are neighboring houses but we never saw anyone else. Definitely would stay again.
A wonderful home to sit and watch the clouds go by! We had a lovely stay at the beach house which was warm and cozy this cool week in March. The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed for some home cooked meals. The beds were comfortable and the layout of the house was perfect for tucking in our two year old granddaughter at night. No stairs were an added bonus for the grandparents!

So glad you enjoyed our house as much as we do. We go there to relax and our family -including grand kids- love it too!
This is a spectacular setting. We saw all sorts of waterfowl, seals, eagles, and dolphins. No whales. The view is incredible. We met the owner of the property and they made sure we were taken care of. The property manager was very responsive to our issues with the door lock. We hope to be back when the Coronavirus is gone and the weather is better.
The photos do not do justice to both the absolutely beautiful view or the gorgeous house. Recent updates to the floors and the furnishing made it even more comfortable for our group. The kitchen was well appointed, the rooms spacious, the access to the water easy. Every sunrise was spectacular and different from the day before. One note, while the house was a zero threshold entry, the shower in the primary is about a foot off the ground. Beds were on the firm side, and the King size bed in the primary had two big body indentations and should be replaced. But even with that, we all slept well and had a fabulous time!

We thank you for staying we are so glad you had a nice time, we heard your comment about the king mattress and it has been replaced in the mattress bedroom.
We do hope you will come back and visit us again for another stay here in the beautiful San Juan Islands.
Small 3 generation family reunion with 2 grand parents, 2 parents and 2 kids under 12. Directions and code for door was simple. The home is nicer than the pictures. The main family/dining room is very nice and the wall of windows looks directly at the ocean and Mt. Baker. Access to the beach is easy except for climbing over the drift wood at the base of the stairs. The beach is mostly small smooth rocks. We saw many seals, sea lions, otters, and eagles. We spent time exploring the island, and enjoyed puzzles and card games at the dining table while watching the ocean. The bedroom with the King bed was very large with windows looking at the ocean. The two queen rooms share a bath and were roomy. All of the beds were comfortable and the home was very clean and decorated well. The neighborhood was very quiet, we never heard any of the neighbors. Kids didn't want to leave. Overall a great stay. Only slight downside was communication. We needed to see if the kitchen had specific appliances for the cooking we were going to be doing. Sent email and got a quick response that they would check. Never heard back. We took what we needed, and glad we did.
We thoroughly enjoyed the solitude that this place provides, even though there are neighbors (everyone is so quiet and respectful, except for the house at the end of the drive that throws their yard waste off their deck). It provides comfortable gathering/seating to enjoy storms from within, and the fireplace works great! The beds were comfortable, the master was cavernouse and the closet provided a great space for our little one to be isolated for his sleep. The kitchen is functional, but lacks staples, so if it's more than salt or pepper, bring your own. The grounds are well kept, and while we didn't sit in the adirondack chairs on this stormy weekend, we know them to be comfortable. Really, everything went smoothly, which is exactly what you want. We did have to drive to get anywhere, but it really wasn't an inconvenience. The beach is quite rocky making for difficult walking, but it was easily accessed and really enjoyable to be so close, regardless. They were so kind to include binoculars, but they don't focus, so maybe there's some room for improvement there :) All in all, we would come back.
This home was beautiful, peaceful, and very well appointed. The huge windows with views of the Salish sea, Mt. Baker, Vancouver, and mainland Washington were truly the best feature. Watching marine otters, bald eagles, sailboats, hummingbirds, whales, and mountain views from the patio every day was our favorite activity! Great, easy access to the private beach where our 10 year old son played (his favorite feature of the property!). The home was comfortable, clean, had a great layout for my parents who are in their 80s. We enjoyed cooking; even cooked a feast of local seafood from Buck Bay shellfish and had all needed cooking vessels! I’m already dreaming of our return to this gorgeous home! The location was perfect-5 minutes to Eastsound for the market and restaurants, minutes to Moran State Park & Obstruction Pass state park for tidal pools. Located in the best part of Orcas in my opinion. The neighborhood was peaceful with nice neighbors, permanent residents that shared information about Orcas with us. Bonus: pet friendly! Was wonderful that my parents could bring their dog. We had the most amazing week ever-3 generations of family sharing beautiful experiences of a lifetime together! We never turned the tv on- only soaked in what nature gifted us with and truly lived in each moment with gratitude. Thank you, wonderful hosts! We are grateful for your generosity in offering this special home. Your home was my favorite of all of my travel experiences.
This is a beautiful property, and lived up to the listing. We gathered for Christmas with our two adult sons and their SOs. Pet friendly was wonderful; right on the beach was wonderful, plenty of space for 6 adults and two mid-size pups. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking & beverage making. The woodstove kept us cozy during the Christmas Day blizzard. And a family of Orcas showed up to entertain us during Christmas Day breakfast! Couldn't ask for more. Thanks!! Would definitely rent this property again.
This is the perfect family vacation home in the San Juan Islands. Our (grown) son and his dog joined me and my husband. We roamed the Island and relaxed. The home has everything you need for cooking, reading or just sitting outside looking at the awesome view.
Fantastic few days away with family to celebrate a birthday. Hiked, kayaked, SUP’d and spent hours hanging out & and gazing at the spectacular view & wildlife (deer, otter, eagle). Calm & peaceful location; absolutely perfect for our gathering. LOVED it. Thank you:)
