Casita Florecita - downtown at the historic Hacienda de Las Cruces

This authentic adobe casita with its own private entrance is on the grounds of an 1880's hacienda and is steps away from downtown, parks, museums, live theatre, farmers market, restaurants & shopping. This charmer has original, authentic touches such as beams in the ceiling, large plank wood floors, adobe plaster walls, bedroom, living/dining combo, coffee and tea bar with mini fridge, and private bath. Shared outdoor amenities include access to a covered back porch, back yard and pool and hot tub area (open to the public from 9am to 9pm). Loved it!!! The indoor space was beautifully decorated with New Mexican decor and the metal artwork was great. Everything was clean and in order. The creamer and waters and soda in the fridge was a nice surprise. Outdoor common area was green and neat with lighting and plenty of seating.

Casita Florecita = Casita Fantistico!

This is our second visit at the Hacienda de Las Cruces. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and gorgeous! This one bedroom, one bath is perfect for a couple getaway, anniversary celebration, etc. The grounds of the Hacienda are well tended to and the hostess, Tamera, is awesome. Can't wait for my next visit. Thank you for a great place to stay, home away from home!

Beautiful historic house

This was a lovely house with well preserved historical architecture. We had a bit of a mixup during check-in that Eric resolved very promptly by offering us the bigger unit. The location was perfect with walking access to the Las Cruces farmers market and many good restaurants. Highly recommend staying here on your way to White Sands NP and other southern New Mexico adventures!

lovely stay in historic part of Las Cruces

This property is a jewel! The house is old and as owners of an old house ourselves, we appreciate the time and care the owners have lovingly put into making the house highly functional while keeping it's unique charm. I highly recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in historical preservation. This is a wonderful casita!

Third Time's a Charm... First and Second... Charminger!?!

I love this property! Always clean, quiet, and the hosts Erica and Tamera are wonderful! There are eccentricities, but those things just make the casita that much more fun to stay at. The greeters, Roxie and Brodie, are friendly and exuberant! Love it! Thanks for a great stay... I'm looking forward to visit number four!

LOVE IT!! Cutest plave EVERRRRR

This property is adorable it is perfectly situated in the center of downtown. The propert itseld has a big beautiful yard. The hosts were super friendly, warm and welcoming, and also had 2 cute poodles who were equally friendly!! The casita itseld was ADORABLE. No detail had been spared and literally had everything I could possibly need, all the comforts of home. Can't wait to visit again.

Straight gem of a find & stem

Came to play in a tournament and I could not have found a better stay for it. Spot was super clean, quiet and just a few minutes from the fields, also perfect for a getaway for yourself or with a partner. Lots of character to the place, I had a couple quick questions and got quick responses. Parking isn’t a big deal, I felt safe all around. I’ll definitely be back being that I got a kid in school here to visit. Awesome place! Thank you Hosts! Amen to this spot.

A charming and relaxing hideaway in the city.

The Haciendas are historically and architecturally interesting and well appointed.The outdoor space is comfortable and peaceful - an oasis. Walk to town; easy access to other areas of town and beyond. Tamara and Eric were very responsive; actually, their initial communication was detailed and informative. A wonderful place to stay in Las Cruces.

Charming home, relaxing backyard

This little gem was all we could have hoped for. When the home was restored they kept all the little touches that combined to make it wonderful. The extremely well kept back yard, complete with candle and lighter, made it the perfect place for our romantic getaway. Being able to walk to downtown was a huge plus. I cannot recommend this place more.

Every part of our stay was outstanding- the hosts were helpful but not intrusive, there were “extras” in the room that were welcomed! The location is right by a wonderful park that wwas perfect for an end of the day walk.

Last minute getaway

We loved this little rental! Our son goes to NMSU so we are frequent visitors of Las Cruces. We have stayed in multiple properties in the area and I think this was our favorite. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the hosts upon check in (had a small problem with the gate code which they responded to in minutes and met us outside) and they gave us a quick tour and showed us how everything worked. The house is small but perfectly furnished with necessities and amenities. We didn’t need anything extra while we were there. We were able to use their quaint, shared patio area to enjoy the cooler mornings and evenings. Even had a little visit from their sweet little dog. I would highly recommend this property and we were told there are two others casitas on the property as well, if this one is rented when we need it. We are looking forward to staying here again.

This charming casita was just what we needed to relax and recharge. The back patio/yard was inviting. The coffee bar was wonderful! Although small, the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you to Eric and Tamera for a great week!

Charming Casita

Beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated Casita. Excellent location. Check in was smooth and easy (although you do have to be on the side, not the front, of the property for the access instructions to make sense, as we learned!). Communication with host was excellent. Kitchen is very small but we'll supplied and adequate for simple food prep, and there are abundant dining options within walking distance. Nice yard and patio, great neighborhood, ample parking. The location, charm and decor of this property make it easily one of the nicest rentals we have ever stayed at.

Beautiful property! Perfect location!

The hosts were very gracious and the property quite beautiful. We were walking distance from restaurants, farmers market, theater, and more! We sat on the patio in the evenings and enjoyed the large backyard space. Inside was comfy, clean, cozy and well provisioned. Would stay here again and highly recommend to others! Than you :)

Unique and lovely stay

What a gem! We so enjoyed staying at Casita Florecita. The place itself is beautifully decorated and has so much character. We enjoyed the patio for a bit each night. It was perfectly clean. The checkin process was seamless. Location is great - Easy to walk to some restaurants, shops and the Saturday market on Main Street, and an easy drive for a day trip to White Sands. We loved it!

Old World feel with Modern Amenities

Our stay at the Hacienda was an absolute highlight to a 3 week Southwestern road trip in March! Our hosts were incredibly gracious and accommodating. The apartment had all the charm we expected from the photos and we were delighted by the well kept shared outdoor spaces with long porch and dining area. There was abundant hot water for the deep tub, comfortable bed, ample closet space, the kitchen had all we needed to actually cook and full size refrigerator! Kitchen cleaning supplies were provided. They have two sweet poodles who greeted us whenever we returned. Covid protocols were adhered to and we felt very comfortable and safe. We are hoping to return for a longer stay!

Tamera grew up in Connecticut and Eric outside Indianapolis. We migrated to the southwest many years ago and call Las Cruces home. When we are not at our day jobs, we enjoy cycling or you can find us caretaking our dear historic hacienda for all to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

Because we both came from close-knit communities, we love living in the Alameda Depot District. While it's right downtown, it's quaint, quiet and we are part of a close-knit neighborhood with people we call friends.

What makes this property unique

The ol' hacienda was one of the first homes built in the city in the 1800's and it has only had a handful of owners over all the years. The original family spent 35 years working with craftsmen who curated incredible architectural features throughout the house. We joke, this house owns us. We are the caretakers and we are working to preserve and protect the house for all to enjoy.
