Public Boat Launch w/ Big Bay de Noc, Lake Michigan Access & Trailhead in Town
If you love being near the water, you will love staying at our house! Enjoy the lake breezes and views of Big Bay de Noc, Lake Michigan, while staying at our house in the historical town of Nahma. Across the street from our house, within walking distance, is a very nice public boat launch. There is a walking path that runs along the boat launch slip, that leads to the shoreline of Big Bay de Noc. Along the path are a couple of piers to fish from or just to sit and listen to the waves and the peaceful sounds of nature. The house is spacious enough to host a family of five. The house comes with a fully stocked kitchen, washer & dryer, Wi-Fi, smart TV., outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill, and so much more. There are two bedrooms located upstairs; one room has two twin beds, the other room has a queen bed. There is also one twin bedroom located on the main floor. The living room has a full size couch and a loveseat that pulls out into a bed. The Nahma Inn is only a short walk away from the house for food, drinks, and entertainment. You can also walk to the small park in town that has a small playground and a basketball court for kids to play. Only 1 mile away is a 9 hole golf course located right on the shores of Big Bay de Noc, Lake Michigan. There is also a main trailhead in town that you can ride to from the house. Nahma is an excellent area for sightseeing, fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, snowmobiling, ATV/ORV rides, bird watching, stargazing, hiking, biking, and golfing. Nahma is centrally located in the southern part of the U.P., along the shores of Big Bay de Noc, Lake Michigan, and is only a short distance from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Fayette Historic State Park, Palms Book State Park (Kitch-Iti-Kipi), Indian Lake State Park, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, Laughing Whitefish Falls State Park, Presque Isle Park, Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Garlyn Zoo, waterfalls, lighthouses, and so much more. Nahma is surrounded by lots of wilderness, with access to State and Federal land nearby and the opportunity to see deer, bear, fox, coyotes, wolves, cougars, moose, and many different bird species. If you enjoy the great outdoors and the peace and tranquility that comes with it, you will love staying at our house and visiting our beautiful area in the Upper Peninsula!

Nahma is a historic lumbering town that was established as early as 1856, with lots of history. Nahma is located in the south-central Upper Peninsula of Michigan, located on the shoreline of Big Bay de Noc, Lake Michigan. There is a small bar/restaurant that serves lunch, dinner, and beverages and is only a short walk from the house. There is a public boat launch located across the street from our house. It has a nice launch area for larger size boats and also has a trail that has fishing piers to fish from or just sit and listen to the waves roll in. There is a fenced in playground with a basketball court located a short walk from house. Approximately 68% (75,000 acres) of Nahma Township land is Federally owned, Hiawatha National Forest. Nahma is an excellent area for sightseeing, fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, snowmobiling, ATV rides, bird watching, hiking, biking, golfing, and so much more.
