The Charleston Turtle House has been totally remodeled and is ready to host guests in a unique James Island cottage. The home is situated in a phenomenal location only minutes to downtown and less than 15 minutes to the beach. The home sits on a half acre lot with mature live oak, several variety of palms, crepe myrtles, pecan trees and other large deciduous trees. If you are looking for a special get away locale you have found it in this gem!

I am a business owner who likes to dabble in offering both long and short term property rentals. This particular property was my first home and I purchased it while completing my master's degree at The Citadel. I use to us it as a long term rental but decided to do a total renovation on the property in 2017 and completed the renovations late summer 2018 and that is when I began offering it as a short term rental property. This home is absolutely fabulous and offers legitimate LOWCOUNTRY cottage living in one of the best locations in all of Charleston!
Why they chose this property
The Charleston Turtle House is basically a brand new property as of 2018 and it offers ALL the amenities and then some that one could ever desire. It is a 15 minute car or uber ride to the heart of the Charleston Downtown District as well as the Atlantic Ocean Beaches located on Folly Beach. The best live music in all of the Southeast is less then a mile from my home (The Pour House), and their are too many restaurants, shopping areas, and a movie theater all within walking distance at the Terrace. The James Island County Park is less then 2 miles away and offers amazing bike trails, a climbing wall, fishing dock, Christmas lights, Santa's Village, and a water park!
What makes this property unique
My home resides in a very quiet area with awesome neighbors who are all about short term rentals. I offer ample free on-site parking and the yard is massive and very secluded. I have mature live oaks, 5 varieties of palm trees, crepe myrtles, azaleas, gardenias, magnolias, pecan tress, and the list goes on and on.........
The back deck offers a wonderful place to relax and unwind and the Weber grill runs off the natural gas from the house and therefore NEVER runs out!
The Charleston Turtle House truly lives up to its name as it is adorned with more pictures, door knobs, clocks, and other Turtle motifs that truly make this place an absolute gem! You truly have to experience it to fully appreciate its charm!
