Exactly what we were looking for in a short, 3 day getaway with 2 kids under 4 and dogs in tow. The pool was amazing, as was the close proximity to the playground/private-ish (literally no one out there) small sand beaches. Would book again!
Great stay while visiting DC and Annapolis. Close enough to the city but far enough away that it was quiet. The pool was perfect after long hot days with lots of walking. The house is charming. No frills but as described. The proximity to water is a bit deceiving. It would have been better if we brought bikes or kayaks. And due to the excessive rainfall the beaches were not swimmable. The owners were very accommodating and attentive.
This is the 4th VRBO property we have rented and all others were very nice, but this one was awful. The house is very old (I like old houses, so that was not a problem) and the kitchen area was an addition. Most of the problems were in the kitchen area. I woke up on Monday morning to find that there was no tea kettle (I do not drink coffee) then went to make my sons coffee and found the coffee maker filthy. Then I attempted to make breakfast and found that the toaster did not work. There were very few pots and pans. I went to use the oven and found a dirty baking sheet in there. One of the cabinet doors under the island was coming off the hinge. Moving on to the older part of the house, the furniture was minimal and the one TV in the house was pretty terrible. The stairwell was very narrow, which was fine, but the railing going up was pretty loose. There was a very pretty balcony off the main bedroom, but no furniture on it. I took this as an indication that perhaps it was not safe, I did my laundry the last night there and did not notice that the washer hadn't fully drained from the owner's use (it was pretty dark where the washer was). I threw my close in only to find that the machine kept shutting down and would not drain. I had found that my clothes had turned blue from something the owners had left in the washer. The dryer had no lint filter, so wet lint came out. Lastly, the grill needed charcoal. This property should not be up for rental on VRBO.
Our family enjoyed staying at Anastasia and Brian's cozy cottage. It was the perfect "home base" for our celebration. Hosts were responsive to any questions / matters. I would recommend this cottage and hope to return again to enjoy all it has to offer.
Perfect house to visit our kids.,great communication from Brian. Pool in the warm weather is a real plus. Well equipped kitchen and pretty view of the marina all make us look forward to next summer!
My family and dog loved our stay! It's the perfect location near the water where we canoed and fished, and the kids loved playing in the pool for hours. Super cute old house, thank you for a wonderful stay!
This is a well maintained 100 year old weekend cottage with an in-ground pool. If you’re expecting a brand new build keep looking. The home is comfortable and is in a very quiet neighborhood with beach access and some wonderful walking trails. It was a great location for us to take day trips to D.C., Annapolis, and Chesapeake Beach. The pool was fantastic but we only used it one day due to the weather being cooler than expected. Brian met us at the house and made sure we knew to contact him with any issues. It was a very laidback vacation with no issues so we never needed to. Thanks Brian
The property is quite charming. It's a well maintained older home with a good water view. Nice pool in the backyard and deck to enjoy. Large kitchen. Very relaxing place to get away.
Property is nice, quiet location. House is older with narrow stairs that might be a problem for older or handicapped guest(s). Owner is friendly and helpful. Would rent again.
Pool was terrific and the main draw for our elementary aged kids. Home was spacious for our family of 5. As others have mentioned in past reviews, a good deep clean would be greatly appreciative and increase the value of the property. There were plenty of bed linens and towels for our larger family and the washer and dryer were a great addition. The fire pit was a nice and the ac worked well.
We stayed with our two young children, 1 and 4, and the house is great for kids. The first floor is spacious and has plenty of floor space for play. The bedrooms are roomy and we put a pack’n’play in the 2nd bedroom and it never felt cramped moving around. The pool is perfect, we had so much fun in the backyard within minutes of arriving. The neighborhood beach is great for young swimmers and dogs (very shallow) - there is netting around the area by the playground which seems to do well in keeping the jellyfish out and the breezes kept the bugs away. We visited Triton Beach and while in Annapolis, did the Pirate Adventure boat tour - highly recommend if you are visiting with kids. Brian was an excellent host, very responsive, and helped me navigate the area. There are crab traps in the yard and nearby access to crabbing and fishing at the end of the street. The house is comfortable, well-appointed, clean, and offers gorgeous views in the back. We hope to return!
This property was clean, well stocked and in a quiet neighborhood. It was just the relaxing getaway we needed. The photos of the pool area do not do it justice as it appears there have been many improvements since they were taken. The stairs, as mentioned in other reviews, are narrow and steep, but if you don't have a mobility issue it shouldn't be an issue. The fenced back yard was perfect for our dogs to enjoy and the communication from Brian and Anastasia was great. We would love to stay again when the opportunity come up!
We had a great stay in Beverly Beach at the cottage! Brian was very responsive in answering any questions we had and offering suggestions for the area and local fun to have with the family. We stayed for the week with our girls and had plenty of room for game nights and many many hours at the pool, which was beautiful! Would definitely come back again.

My Wife an I purchased this property in 2002 and used it as our weekend getaway. We were attracted to this home because it was located 45 minutes from our home and offered a more relaxed alternative to crossing Bay bridge to travel to Ocean City or Rehoboth. We are boaters and the community ramp and marina were a huge plus. Our three children enjoy going to the beach, crabbing in the creek outside the home, fishing the ponds for bass, the dock for perch and of course the rivers and Bay for rockfish. My Wife and I also enjoy walking through the friendly community chatting with neighbors, boating both power and sail and lately just sitting on the wrap around porch or pool side with a cool beverage.
