It was really close to the trails. My husband and I road 104 miles on our pedal bikes over our stay and we visited a lot of little communities that had great things to do. Very close to some wineries too.

Nice quiet setting with many amenities. Close to all the Bay Area sites and attractions. We’ll definitely look to stay again next time we visit the area.
It was a lovely experience. The house was everything it showed. Jan was easy to get a hold. Answered back in a quickly fashion. I was a lovely stay. I would definitely stay again
Cute cozy place. Close enough to everything Traverse City has to offer. Short drive to Leland which was a nice little town. Walking trail right down the road which was a plus.
My husband and I had a wonderful 5 day stay at little Cherry Bend. Jan is very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. It was in a good location for us as we traveled around the area and was the perfect size for 2. We would definitely recommend the apartment as we’re looking for next year ourselves.
Was perfect for what was needed except for the musty smell.

Dawn,
I am so sorry you said the house smelled musty. No one has said that before. My house is cleaned and sanitized after every single quest. And many different cleaning products are used in the process so maybe that is what They smelled. I thought you said you rented it for your son and his bride. Sorry again that you didn't like the smell but Glad they enjoyed there stay.

Great little place
Thus was a very quaint place for two! It has a breezeway between this and the larger home next to it. My only concern was it was curly fragrant and I have asthma. I prefer no scented wall plug ins or sprays.
The house is small as advertised but was very comfortable for a married couple in their 70’s. Jan is an amazing host and went above and beyond to provide everything needed for a relaxing atmosphere. We used the house as a base for biking the Lelanlau Trail to Suttons Bay 2 out of our four days in the area. Another day we drove to Charlevoix and biked The Little Traverse Wheelway. We visited Northport to see the lighthouse and Leland to see Fishtown and have dinner at The Cove (very good whitefish!) There is a lot to see and do in the area and we really enjoyed being a little outside of Traverse City. Thank you for a great stay, Jan!
This was my first time using this service (or any similar service) and I was quite nervous but the "small" house was the perfect get away for me and my wife. THe check-in process was similar, there was necessary information inside and the checkout process was just as simple. We were provided a phone number in case we had questions, problems, or concerns. We enjoyed the coziness of the living room, the firepit outside where we sat around for hours talking and playing games, and it is only a short ride into Traverse City, Sleeping Bear dunes and Glen Arbor. The owner had many of the forgettable needs covered and made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect place to stay for a perfect weekend away from the kids.
This property is just as advertised. It's a small house perfect for 2 people looking to get away into the northern part of Michigan. The road it's on isn't too busy and is less than a minute bike away from the TART trail. We stayed when no one was in the other house, so I can't attest to what it would be like. The driveway is small, but if parked properly, can easily fit 2 cars. There is a fire pit out back, but we didn't end up having time to use it. One thing to keep in mind is that the shower space is small. It's a square shower that doesn't grant a lot of room to movement, so if you're bigger, you will have difficulty. I'm 6' 2" 200 pounds, and it was just big enough for me. The owner is great about communication, but we never needed her. I would definitely stay here again.
It was very easy check-in and check-out process. It fit our needs, right size and good location. Honestly, we did not spend much time here as busy exploring traverse City and sleeping bear dunes. It was a quick few minute drive to downtown traverse city, but close to so many activities that we explored: wineries, mission peninsula, downtown Traverse City and quick ride after spending all day at Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was perfect size and all our needs were met. Its a different set-up since breezeway is between this place and main house, but never saw the other tentants and still had our privacy. Would definetly stay again.
Jan is the most accommodating and responsive host we have ever experienced! The kitchen is much brighter than the photos show and has everything we needed. We are in our 70s with back issues and the couch was challenging for us. We used the bed pillows for more support and that worked ok. The bed is super comfy and we slept great. There is traffic noise and my husband is a very light sleeper but he wore earplugs and didn’t have any issue at all with sleeping. Great location right across the street from the TART trail and a short drive into town.
The property was clean and very nice (seems to be newly remodeled). The posting shows pics of the small cherry bend and stated it’s next door to the large cherry bend house. The rental is attached to the house with a shared enclosed breezeway. I didn’t know this until I booked and I worried that my son with special needs was too loud for the tenants in the house. I do blame myself because I should have inquired before booking, but I would suggest this be disclosed in the description of the rental before it’s booked. The neighbors were very kind and even gave up their parking so that we could be closer to the door for carrying my son in and out. Although, there is great parking in the driveway, which allows two parking spaces for you. This is a bonus for Traverse City rentals. It is perfectly located out of the traffic of TC, yet very close to downtown TC, laundromat, grocery store, and restaurants. The only other suggestion is another trash container. We were hauling our trash to a family members house because one container was not enough for two families in the home (probably not an issue if you have a shorter stay). If you need additional sleeping space, there is a good size bedroom with a comfortable bed, a twin air mattress available and plenty of extra sheets and blankets. I would not recommend sleeping on the couch that laid out into a full size bed, as you can feel the frame through the cushion/mattress and it was painful. If I were to recommend anything else, it would be to have a space for your clothes (no dresser, and the bedroom closet stored all the extras, including towels, sheets, and blankets). However, we stayed for a month, if you are planning a short stay it’s not as necessary if you don’t mind keeping your clothes in your suitcase. All in all, we were very pleased and the property manager was kind, checked in on how our stay was going and was very quick with a response if we needed anything. If I were to visit without my son, it is perfect for two adults! I’m very pleased with our stay and only making a friendly suggestions.

We really appreciated the level of communication and helpfulness with questions! Even though it's connected to another house, it was quite private and quiet. We really liked the location! Close enough to town. Great time, we'll book there again for sure!
