The Morris House Apartment is a private one bedroom apartment on the second floor of a beautiful Victorian home built in 1895 for Thomas Morris. Morris was the founder of the University of WI-La Crosse and Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin. We are conveniently located just a five minute walk to the university and a ten minute walk to a thriving downtown area. Fully equipped kitchen, off-street parking, two private entrances and private porch. Come & enjoy!

While their love of travel has taken them around the world, they prefer to keep "home base" in La Crosse, in their beautiful Victorian they have owned since 1995. Tan and Susan are both retired and are active in Rotary International and other local volunteer opportunities. Tân travels back to his homeland of Vietnam often. Susan enjoys traveling to new countries often volunteering abroad.

Why they chose this property

The house was originally built in 1895 for the Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, Thomas Morris, his wife and 10 children. The residential neighborhood is convenient to the university and also a thriving downtown area, with unique shops, breweries and the Mississippi River. The Morris Apartment is on the second floor and has two entrances completely separated from the main house. A pleasant screened in porch with seating area is on the side entrance.
