We thoroughly enjoyed each day we were here. This quiet, tranquil place is exactly what we needed. There was nothing lacking. We caught fish, rode side-by-side, napped and caught up on some much needed rest. We have plans on returning. The hosts are very nice and family oriented. We have a autistic grandson that we are raising and he wasn't ready to come home. He was so relaxed and loved the entire time. We would highly recommend this cabin.
Beautiful secluded property!!! We cannot wait until we visit again, we’re so grateful this place exists. Thank you Tommy and Becky for sharing this wonderful place with us and our pup, till next time.
This was a very relaxing place. Clean, secluded, close to the river, and multiple fishing options. It does advertise a hot tub; however, it’s a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. We were expecting a hot tub outside. Either way, the property and host were great!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin and soaked up every relaxing minute wandering the amazingly beautiful and tranquil property with our son and our doodle “Waffles”. I even got a chance to pull a bass and a couple of nice crappie out of the private pond. Becky could not have been more accommodating and her delightful homemade honey bun cake was the best surprise. It made it less than one day before it was all gone. We will return!
I don’t feel like the pictures or the description really give you any idea of how wonderful this cabin is! I spent 4 nights here and it was heaven! I felt like I was staying at a friend’s cabin instead of a vacation rental. Everything about this place is welcoming, homey and perfect! The owners give you tons of space, but they are also around if you need anything (and they are the SWEETEST people!). I understand why people go back to this cabin year after year….
My wife and I have stayed at several secluded cabins over the years. This one is in the top 3 we have visited to date. The location is quiet and away from everything. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The owners were great and respected our space. Could not have asked for a better experience. The cabin had everything we needed inside and out. Wifi worked fine and was nice to have being so far from everything (we did bring a small smart TV for watching movies at night). The location is far enough out but still within an hour of Broken Bow and Mena. We visited both towns on our visit a few times for breakfast (make sure you go to Skyline Café in Mena) and dinner. Discovered a few great wineries (Visit Fishtales) in Broken Bow as well. We love to fish and really enjoyed the proximity to multiple ponds on the property. I caught my fill of bass and crappie on the larger pond by the cabin. There was lots of wildlife to see in the area. We saw a few deer, a fox and other wildlife on our visit. On our visit to Mena we headed up to Queen Willamena Park and saw a few bears on the way back to the cabin. Just a great overall experience and much needed reboot from living in a city in Texas. Would absolutely go back.
We had a great time at this cabin. It was the perfect location to watch the eclipse. Becky was a great host who stayed in constant contact with us to make sure we had everything we needed. When we arrived, she had already set up the crib for our little one, as well as left us a delicious cake. It is a very peaceful place and we loved the patios and using the firepit.
This was our third time here. We love our getaways to this private and serene cabin. The kitchen is fully equipped. Becky made sure to have everything that we could of wanted/needed. Our pups loved their freedom to run and the walks on the trails. We can't wait to come back again and again.
Loved staying here!! Five stars for everything! Can’t wait to return. Was a much needed getaway from the city. None of us wanted to leave. Thank you Becky and Tommy, was a pleasure meeting you both!!
A lovely clean cabin on a beautiful secluded site with creek view. Huge spa tub in bathroom and the kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. Owner drove by to ensure that we had everything we needed and to answer any questions.
This was our second time to stay here. It was as great as it was last time. Kayaked the river, fished in the pond, rode around on the 4 wheeler. Saw some deer. They had a few new born calves as well. We will definitely be back again!!! Ms Becky and Tommy are the best.
This trip was so special with my husband and son. We fished, hiked, played games, and talked!!!
River sunset out the back door, pond within walking distance, and sunrise hill view from the front porch.
The cabin feels like it is your own oasis while you are there. We were able to reconnect as a family and make really good memories. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us. This truly is a special place.

About the host
Hosted by Becky Phillips
We built the cabin in 2008, on land owned by this family for 3 generations. We enjoy our guests, but like to give them privacy to enjoy their time here.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is 1/2 mile from our home; close enough to be accessible if needed, but far enough away to be private. The pond and river offer fun water activities, and are close to the cabin.
What makes this property unique
Quiet, except for cattle lowing or children laughing.
