Overall had a great stay. Had a couple issues and they were addressed and taking care of. Nicely secluded which is what we were looking for. Close enough to everything we were doing. Will definitely stay again
Brrrring extra blankets. I guess I didn’t understand that this was meant as a hunting cabin for people much tougher than me. The only source of heat was a space heater and it was cold! Also the directions told me to follow the signs. The sign is too small and too far off the road, but we found it because it was daylight.
Clean, all items were provided, and detailed communication from host.I did have trouble with getting the WiFi to work, but also having no service just means more quality time with family.
The driveway up into the property is very steep and somewhat rutted—it’s rural and to be expected. Just be aware.
So dark at night that (without turning on a light) I got lost coming back to bed from the bathroom—LOVELY!
If you want peace and quiet—this is the spot.
We had a great time, the accommodations were great . Only negative was the queen size mattress in the main bedroom was not comfortable at all. We actually took the mattress from the other bed and put it underneath the mattress in the main room to get by for the weekend. Other than that it was a great stay !
Loved the Place , definitely need SUV to get up to the Nest ! Host was great in communication
Check out Elk State Park and Hidden Alpaca Farms 15-20 mins from The Nest.
We had a wonderful time seen deer and heard turkeys around the cabin we're definitely going to frequent the cabin so peaceful and quiet just outside of town took a drive and saw quite a few elk 3 of which were trophy bulls can't wait to get back up there possibly longer next time
Great little place. Out of the way and in the middle of the elk herd. Had a nice bull hanging out at the bottom of the driveway. Dennis and Barb where very attentive and helpful!!!
The only real issue was the floor in front of sliding glass door was very soft.

No wi-fi as advertised, could not find the router. TV not used, could not navigate the set top box/TV without help.
A cheat sheet left at the property for the TV use would have been helpful. Location good. Steep driveway as advertised on VRBO, but OK. Some folks will have trouble with the driveway without adequate ground clearance and 4 WD.
When they tell you you need 4 wheel drive or an suv to get there they do mean it the hill to the place is very steep but well worth the climb. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It’s not extremely large but we had 6 adults and managed quite well. Definitely would rent again. Everything is close by if you do need something. Owner even personally asked if he could do anything to improve our stay. That was very much appreciated. Thank you. Hope to go back again.
We had a great time it was a great set up. We were forced to actually take a step back a relax, which is a change from our everyday busy life. We had no complaints of the place its self we just wished the wifi worked so we could stream some shows. It was nice to disconnect from social media some. This place was perfect for us for the weekend. It had everything we needed. Which wifi is clearly something we wanted but didn't need. We will definitely be going back!!
We arrived late and the owner was in constant contact to make sure we found it in the dark. The place was the perfect combination of necessities and country. Deer walked through the yard in the am while we were eating breakfast. Quiet through the night. Porch was a popular evening spot. We wanted the quiet and it was a nice electronic break from the everyday hustle so we didnt use the wifi. This was the perfect get away to get back to basics without the sacrifice of comfort and just enjoy each others company without distraction.
