This was our second stay at The Romantic Retreat and yet again, it was a fantastic stay! Jeff checked in to make sure all was well. The property was clean and so cozy, especially during the rain. Perfect autumn getaway!

We booked this place to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The hope was to find a cozy cabin in the woods during the fall and it checked every box. We had a wonderful weekend!

This property is a such a gem, and the perfect little spot for some quiet time. This morning we sat by the fireplace, watching the leaves fall outside, talking about how much we love the cabin and wished for more time there. Jeff is the best host and it was very easy to get in touch with him if needed. We can’t wait to return!

We had a great time at Jeff’s cabin! The place was clean, cozy, and perfectly situated to see Vermont’s beautiful foliage. The hot tub was clean and easy to operate. The property provided plenty of space for our dog to run around. Jeff was easy to communicate with and provided plenty of information on his property and surrounding area. We’d certainly stay again!

This trip was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed every day!!! The cabin was perfect! The hot tub was clean and wonderful to wind down in every night. The kitchen had everything we needed! We decided to bring our doggo last minute and he was so gracious and allowed her to come. I think she loved it as much as we did! Highly recommend!! We'll be coming back for sure!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, serene, and private cabin. The cabin was clean and exactly as described. Jeff, the host, was incredibly communicative and made the entire process seamless. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, the picturesque wooded surroundings, the movie theater, the charming nearby towns, and the entire property. The cabin’s layout is thoughtfully designed, offering ample space and comfort. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely loved our stay, Jeff didn’t spare any expense, we went for our honeymoon and we absolutely fell in love with the cabin, from the hot tub to the cozy feeling you get just spending time in the cabin. Then to explore the nearby towns and learn about the area, highly recommend for anyone wanting to disconnect a little bit but enjoy their time while they are at it

We absolutely loved our time in VT at this beautiful cottage! We’ve been a few times and love to come back for a week of relaxation in the gorgeous Green Mountains. The owner has thought of everything to make the cottage self-running with lots of labels and instructions to help and a great guide to the area that helped us find enjoyable places to check out. We love the hot tub and the privacy to relax in the mountains. We also enjoyed just chilling in the sweet reading nook or the porch looking out over the trees and sky. The area is great for taking a nice walk in the forest and is so close to Waitsfield, Warren, and Rochester/Hancock for lots of restaurants and a great grocery store with everything anyone would need. Not enough great things to say about our favorite little cottage in the Mad River Valley!
