Beautiful and comfortable house in a gorgeous location. Clean, spacious and cozy. Kate went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We will definitely book again.
Very quaint property, very country setting away from town. We didn’t spend much time there since it was a golf outing for 2 days. Comfortable for 3 guys.
Just a lovely, comfortable cottage. 4 bedrooms, 2 baths! Lots of games for adults and kids! Close to shopping in Barre and cremees at Pump and Pantry!

Kate was very helpful and checking in on if we needed anything. Very accommodating. Left us 12 eggs from her farm on our arrival. They were delicious. Real homey feeling.
This cottage was perfect for our family stay! There are plenty of modern amenities, but the home retains so much of its historical charm. The hosts were AMAZING - very sweet and responsive!

Although the house is old, it has character. It is perfect for Norwich families. Not great for people with mobility issues as the stairs are very steep. There is enough room for everyone. Was disappointed we didn’t get the fresh eggs that others got, but the hosts are very sweet with great communication. We had everything we needed during our family weekend.

Ren...sorry for your disappointment about no eggs. Our hens are currently coming "out of the molt" and therefor putting all their energy into producing new feathers rather than eggs...length of day dependent...as for the stairs, I believe every 200 year old cape has the same situation.
If you are ever visiting the area in the future, I'll be more than happy to provide eggs.
Regards...Kate
We really enjoyed our rustic stay at Kate’s Stonecutter’s Cottage. The location and neighborhood were beautiful, and the home had a nice layout that worked well for us. Kate was a wonderful host and very responsive with communication throughout our stay.As a note for future guests, the property is quite rustic, which means there are a lot of bugs, and while they’ve added mattress toppers, the beds are still quite firm. If you prefer very soft mattresses, just keep that in mind.Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this cottage to others looking for a rustic experience in a beautiful setting.
The perfect place to rest, relax and unplug from the daily chaos. The cottage was cozy and homey. It slept 4 adults easily. Enjoying coffee every morning on the front porch was my favorite part of the stay.
Jane.. thank you for understanding the damage caused to the cottage due to the local disaster and also being willing to accept the conditions. for your stay.
We always appreciate a positive review and hope you would consider Stonecutter's Cottage foe future visits to the Central Vermont area.
Kate
Kate was easy to work with (late arrival), very helpful and nice. House is a cozy old New England house, will be trying to get up there again for leaf peeping!

Wonderful property in a quiet setting. Loved sitting on the front porch in the evening. Comfortable beds and furnishings.
Thank you Kate, we had a wonderful time.
The house was very cute. The only thing is I wish there was a/c upstairs. We really enjoyed our stay. We also liked that the owner left us somefresh eggs (we did not get to eat them) but that was a nice gesture. We would stay again.
A charming, old farmhouse with lots of room and a nice fireplace. Lots of details and plenty of books and games to spend the time.

This cottage is on a quiet country road. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch each evening. I was impressed that the large dining room has space for 8 people to eat comfortably. I would stay here again.
