Wonderful view and well equipped apartment

The apartment was lovely and clean. Close to shops bars etc and away from the loud part of Benidorm. The view from the balcony was amazing. The owner was lovely and emailed when we arrived to make sure everything was ok. Lovely place would return

The apartment has stunning sea views and lovely open balcony. The beach is virtually on the doorstep, and a good supermarket within walking distance. The host always communicated via VRBO, but we had several issues during our 5-week stay, some resolved, some not, others we didn’t bother to complain about. On arrival, the bedroom light, some bathroom lights and one kitchen light were not working. The kitchen light was repaired twice, bedroom and bathroom were not. The kitchen cupboards were in poor condition, with one door already detached and another hanging off its hinge, limiting use of the items inside. There were only three mugs in an apartment advertised for six guests, no tin opener, limited kitchen cupboard space, and only one working remote control for the three air-conditioning units. The host purchased mugs but as we had to collect them from the cleaner’s home 20 minutes away, we bought our own. The host responded quickly to replacing the leaking kettle. The main bed was extremely comfortable with luxury linen, but my 78-year-old brother found the foam mattress in the second bedroom exceptionally hard, uncomfortable and difficult to make. Finding replacement linen during our stay was also difficult as the linen cupboard seemed short of our requirements.Great location (away from the hustle and bustle of Benidorm Town) and spectacular views, but it would benefit from better maintenance, improved kitchen equipment, and more attention to second bedroom guest comfort.

AVOID - HOST NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM SITE

When booking this property I advised the host we would be arriving late evening so she arranged for the keys to be left in a hidden location (with instructions). On arrival the keys were not where she instructed they would be. After searching for 15 minutes I called the host to let her know the keys were not there. She told me to keep looking. After looking for a further 10 minutes I called her back to again tell her they were not there. The host told me they were, huffed and hung up on me. I then called her back and she said she would try and get hold of her house keeper and that she would call me back. When she called me back she said that the housekeeper would come and meet us with the keys but we would need to give her €30 to €40 for the inconvenience!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing ! I told her absolutely not and it was her responsibility to make sure the keys were left for us and she would have to cover any costs. She then turned round and told us to get a hotel and she would just cancel our booking and hung up !! At this point it was around 11.30pm !! She was going to leave us stranded with no where to stay at 11.30pm at night when this had been booked for months !! In the end we had to call her back and agreed to give her house keeper €20 to come and drop us the keys. We then had to wait a further 40 minutes for the house keeper to arrive !! As you can imagine this put a downer on our holiday straight away. I am still in shock with the way we were treated. The host was not apologetic, was in fact extremely rude huffing and hanging up the phone on me and had the cheek to make us pay her housekeeper money to drop off keys that should have been left for us! This host needs to be removed from all sites!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, Hanna. I have been renting properties for more than 15 years and have hosted thousands of travelers. I am also a traveler and know the feeling of being abroad, far from home and people you trust. I am sorry someone should have taken the keys. You arrived late and they were not there. I am very sorry as I told you several times. I will think how to manage late arrivals for the future: I already have some ideas. But you were so demanding … without understanding that things can happen when you travel and you should find a solution without getting angry and starting shouting at me … I found a solution: I live at 160 kilometers from Benidorm and could not go there at those hours. But my housekeeper lives in Altea that is at just 10 kilometers from Benidorm. I called her and she left her home late at night to help you. I asked you to give her something (I said 20 euros, not 40 euros as you say …) because she was making such an effort and because I know it is normal to pay something for late arrivals. And definitely you were arriving late. I really do not understand why you got so angry: there was a problem and I am sorry as I told you but I solved it late at night. And you still keep on getting angry ... I am sorry for you. But you did not left the money for the final cleaning …. I paid for you. Why you do not add this apartment is great with such a views, clean and well maintained? A pity you are not grateful for such a property and our service.

Apartment was really great.. the pool was loverly but we couldn’t use it as there was no chairs available around the pool or in the apartment there was also no shade at all, such a shame. To get to the beach was OK if you are fit and healthy, absolutely not if you have difficulty walking, so many stairs, you could walk along the road, but it’s uphill on the way back.Very limited cafes ect… you have to go down to the beach.. You really must be aware of the location before you commit…

Mega lækkert sted at holde ferie. Orden og ro i området. Mangler lidt butikker og restauranter tættere på. Super lækker strand. Pool til lejligheden blev brugt dagligt. Super god kommunikation med udlejer.

Espectacular

Disapointing

I will start with the positives: View from balcony was great and cleanliness good. Negatives: Patio door did not lock and is a health and safety issue if you have young children staying as the apartment is on the 7th floor, ensuite shower base continually filled up with water (owner arranged for a plumber to come to apartment between 5.30-6.30pm waited until 7.30pm and he did not show - did receive a phone call around 9pm to say he was waiting on access, rushed home and plumber had left! Only 4 towels given (1 each) had to wash and dry continually - I thought maybe 6 towels would have been better. Sun lounger/chairs to take down to the pool area were broken and not replaced despite asking - at the pool area there is only 3 benches and a concrete area to sit on. We wnet to the beach every day and paid for sun loungers. Kids (12 & 15 yrs) were disappointed at not being able to stay at the pool for very long due to lack of adequate sitting area.

apartamento precioso
