It was a great location for our family reunion since the other cabin I rented cancelled last minute! Easy entry and beautiful views! Pull out couches were a little rough for me but not my younger kiddo! Rustic and cozy!
Just sitting outside on the lounge chairs watching the activity on the lake was relaxing enough. Will definitely stay again and get in the water next time.

It was my pleasure to host you for the weekend. It really makes me happy to know you enjoyed the fishing and the whole cozy experience. Come back soon!
Love this cabin and the location does much that I came back the next time I visited Olympia. It’s exceedingly comfortable and quiet. Perfect for not doing anything or filling your time with hiking, swimming or kayaking and/or a little of both—see you next summer!

We love hosting you at the cabin. Let’s hope summer comes early next year!
Apologies it rained on a November weekend. I know that weekend Saturday daytime it was dry. Don’t forget, Olympia is part of the beautiful and unique Olympic Rainforest.
This lovely little cabin has all the quaintness of the old style lake cabins but is completely set up with everything you’ll need for a relaxed stay. The view is stunning and the quiet and comfort was just what I needed. I brought my elderly Mom out for the day to get her out of COVID isolation. She had no difficulty with the 5 stairs from the road and was content to sit in the deck for the day and take in the view.

It was a pleasure to host you at our cabin and share our quiet space. Your description is spot on!
I am super happy to read it worked out to host your mother too.
Come back any time.
I was visiting Olympia to see a sick family member, and my friend and I stayed here for just a single night. The hosts were very friendly and responsive when we discovered the water hadn’t been turned on, but we were the first guests of the season, so we understood. It’s a terrific little hamlet on a lovely and clear lake. We used the two-person kayak and it was absolutely lovely. The lakeside fire pit was also very nice. We didn’t use the outdoor shower, yet did use the adorable stove and oven for tea and quiche, and it was a lovely and memorable meal. Highly recommended this little gem of a cabin. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts.
Lovely cabin getaway, in the trees, overlooking a beautiful lake. Great for solo or couple travellers. Optimal use of the incinerating toilet does require some planning.

We had a fantastic time. The cabin was cute, cozy, and very comfortable. We had a great time sitting out on the balcony playing cards with the beautiful view of the lake. We would definitely stay again

About the host

I have enjoyed heading to Summit Lake for kayaking and summer swimming since becoming the second owner of this cabin in 2019. This 1950's fishing cabin is a sophisticated tree-house-like studio with private dock access if you want to bring your small boat, or drop your fishing line right off the end of he dock.
Why they chose this property
This cabin is cozy and comfortable, just steps from the lake! The swimming in the summer can't be beat as surface water temps get as high as 80 degrees!
There is a public boat launch at Summit Lake, making it easy to bring your small boat to dock at the cabin during your visit.
What makes this property unique
The spot is ideal because you really are getting a camping-like experience with the comfort and convenience to cook indoors or grill out on the deck. It is very close to Olympia's shops and great restaurants.
