Had a lovely time in the cottage, very nice, lovely big safe garden for the dog,pub is a 2 minute walk, very friendly, not sure about the food because we didn't eat there,we stayed in peppercorn cottage,it had a lovely new kitchen and a good shower, toilet upstairs and down, got a couple of bumps on my head,it doesn't matter how careful you are you will forget at some point to duck,we would definitely be staying here again hopefully
Excellent little cottage close to local attractions.
We used the cottage as a base while visiting family in the area. It was very clean and comfortable and the garden was a real bonus with a dog. We would definitely stay here again if visiting.
The property was beautifully styled and very in keeping with the area. Very comfortable stay, the kitchen was fully equipped. The cottage is close to popular seaside towns and places of interest, making it the perfect base for a long weekend or week! Would happily book to stay here again, we had such a lovely weekend, thank you!

Thank you for your lovely review James, you were the perfect guests. So pleased you enjoyed Peppecorn cottage.
Host was great very responsive and lots of instructions. Fridge is just under counter and would have been fine for 2 or 3 hut not sufficient for a Christmas stay. Other than this all okay.
No wooden spoons, only one dw tablet, no dust pan, no side tables for cups. Small things but sorting it will make a difference! The beds were super comfy thanks
A lovely holiday home, very clean and comfortable. Firstly the negatives:if you’re over 5’11 you cant stand comfortably in the kitchen. If you’re 5’6” you’ll still bump your head a fair bit in places. I have left a note to the host for kitchen short comings and put these down to being late in the season. The fridge is also quite small, and freezer is an icebox in top of fridge. Positives- there are many: this cottage is super comfy, comfy sofas and beds it is in a superb location for access to sheringham, E&W Runton and Cromer, the locals have been so warm, friendly and uber helpful. Parking is for 1 car only but we parked another in the village easily. Garden accessed off courtyard out of site from property but seemed well fenced and ok to let dog off for a run. This was a great place for the 5 of us plus dog for a week.

Thank you for your review we are so pleased you enjoyed the cottage, the great location and the comfortable beds and sofas. Your comprehensive review of the kitchen utensils was super helpful, some of which had disappeared over the season but some we hadn’t considered, but have purchased. The cottage does have the original beams in place, we have worked had to maintain these whilst making all areas functional, especially in our new kitchen. We do have a couple of 6 footers in the family who use the kitchen with ease. Thanks again for taking the time to review Peppercorn cottage.

Great location for a base . Great local pub.Fab new kitchen & bathroom . Furniture upstairs & down very comfortable.bedding was clean .The Secret garden was a perfect little haven and very private . A little warmth & love was needed .We felt it needed a good clean inside the cupboards and downstairs toilet . My husband had to scrub the frying pan due to burnt food still in it . I cleaned the downstairs toilet . We have an old property ourselves so we know spiders can get everywhere quickly but it just felt not as clean as it could be and not homely. The towels looked worn and tough and again upstairs in the wardrobes it looked like the items were just thrown in . Usually milk is left and not having any shops nearby for 2 miles would have helped . We knew the parking had only enough room for 1 car but if every spot was taken it would make it difficult to enter or exit especially as we had a truck. Outside the property needs more care & attention in front , maybe a bit of weeding and tidy up .The garden was fantastic and the grass had been cut but again the table & chairs needed a good clean and inside the shed was lots of bits that needed either growing or putting in neatly it all seemed a mess and awkward to get to the washing line . Being dog friendly too there want any thing in the property to see that . We felt this would be a much better property to hire if a little tidiness and TLC was given . We won’t be recommending due to this .

Thank you for your review I am pleased you liked the new kitchen and bathroom and found the house to be clean. For reassurance I wanted to let you know that all of the house including the bathrooms and toilets had been cleaned thoroughly the day before you arrived. There had been a problem in the square with drainage which is now resolved which may have caused some discolouration of the water in the toilet bowl We take on board your feedback re tidying of storage areas eg the shed which is not actually for guest use just line and bbq storage. We do have a designated car parking space which is for our guests. We always take guests feedback seriously thanks again for taking the time to do so.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay in Bodham. The cottage has lots of character and is well equipped with a modern kitchen, and comfortable furnishings. It is in a great location being only a short drive from Cromer, Sheringham and Holt. There is so much to explore in the area with lovely beaches and interesting sea side towns as well as nearby Sheringham Park and Weybourne train station. We would thoroughly recommend this as a great place to stay for exploring north Norfolk.
Lovely cottage, well maintained with plenty of beds, a great shower and greatly appreciated by our cocker spaniel. The local pub was super and very friendly.
Great place to stay to explore Norfolk and it’s wonderful beaches.
Would have preferred the garden to be attached to the property but it was only a 20s walks d the dogs and kids loved it.
a lovely cottage set in the small village of bodham, very clean and lots bigger than you think. we are a family of 4 and all had our own space, the garden is beautiful.we will be back..

Helpful owner
The cottage was nice and Bodham has a good location between Holt and Sheringham. The owners were very helpful and responsive to questions about the area and the house. The kitchen is well equipped from an equipment and cleaning perspective but no cooking basics such as salt and pepper so everything needs to be brought with you. Cleanliness rated a 2 as we found some rubbish and clothes left from previous occupants as well as needing to wash some pans and dishes before first use.
Beautifully located in original farmstead site. Furniture & furnishings of a good standard.
Lack of a modern shower facility a deficit. Directions re. heater settings would have helped.
But a great place & would recommend to others.
Beautiful cottage in a nice quiet village and perfect location for Sheringham beach and crabbing in Cromer.
Property could do with some modernisation, pretty tough trying to wash two kids and their hair with no shower. Also some basics are needed in the kitchen like tea towels, dish cloths etc.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

COTTAGE
The cottage is cosy, in the case of the twin bedded room very cosy!!! It is really only suitable for children not adults. The shower appliance was really not worth putting there, it wasted more water than if a shower was installed.
Also the blur stated DVD being available which this was not and the owner explained reasons why. He did say that Netflix was available, which it was but you have to have an account otherwise no access. Owner may think about possibly paying the monthly subscription.
Overall location was brilliant to get to the various places and the Red Hart pub was very friendly and food was good.

Lovely place to stay
Great cottage and more room than we were expecting. Lovely living room and great garden down the lane. Excellent location for accessing Blakeney, Sheringham, Cromer and loads of good local attractions.
