About this property

Enjoy the views and action from the deck overlooking the 8th tee and 2nd fairway/green of this open and airy villa in Turnberry Village. The villa features two master bedrooms, each with king-sized bed and TV, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the loft area. The loft also includes an office area with free wifi access. The spacious living area includes a 65" High Definition TV and opens to the deck with its seating for 6 and a gas grill. The kitchen is fully-stocked with pots, pans, utensils and spices for the chefs in your group. Walk or bike to the beach, tennis, golf and any of the many activities offered at the Palmetto Dunes resort.

Please note that we take a maximum rental period of 2 weeks between April 1 and October 31 each year. Also note that, while we had been a pet-friendly villa prior to August 2024, due to excessive damage to furniture and carpeting caused by pets of guests, we are no longer accepting pets.

Love this place!

We have stayed here 3 of last 4 years and will keep coming back - place is great has everything you could possibly need and more and is beautiful love breakfasts and morning coffee overlooking the golf course!- thanks Dave!

Great Golf View

We love this area of the island, the great golf view from the property and deck, and the ease of renting and communication with the property manager. I do feel the property was not cleaned properly before our stay and that was disappointing. Overall it was a good experience!

Relaxing golf course vies

We went to HHI for a conference and extended our stay for a vacation. We always travel with one of our dogs so it was great finding a rental that allowed us to bring her. The rental was well located and we rented bikes to go everywhere. It was nice renting the cargo trailer for the bike as we could pack a cooler, chairs and umbrella and ride the bikes to the beach. We appreciated having beach chairs at the rental so we didn’t have to pack any. Drinking our morning coffee and watched the golfers was relaxing and having a glass of wine and watching the owls at night was fun!

Fun in the sun!

Finding the property after the security shacks the first time was a little rough (don’t do it in the dark), but the actual villa was nice. Upon arrival we found an Amazon package at the door, so we questioned if we were at the right place and had to double check. Please keep in mind this is a pet friendly place so if you have any allergies I’d recommend picking one that isn’t pet friendly. The living room rug has animal hair in it as did the steps going upstairs (fur ball like), so we tried to run the sweeper and found it didn’t work well enough to sweep it up. We found pretzels under the bed and along the railing of the bed frame in the downstairs bedroom (along with broken golf tees). The bed frame itself was very wobbly and it was a little nerve wracking to climb into at first because I thought it was going to collapse. The starter supply of hand soap and dish soap was nice as well as the toilet paper, but I’d recommend bringing towels if you have more than a party of two and plan to stay 3+ days. The front door area also had a patched hole upon arrival that wasn’t completely fixed and there were many areas that were dusty, had spider webs, or dead bugs in the window sills. The pool was nice but the gate code didn’t work several times, and one of the owners said they had been having issues with it all week—it actually locked us all inside the pool gate and we had to reach around outside and punch the code in to get out. The kitchen had plenty of resources to cook with.

Always a great stay!

We are repeat visitors so we clearly enjoy the property. The deck has a great view looking out over the golf course and the kitchen is well stocked. We cook most meals over our five week stay and everything I need is available. We did have a few visits from family and everyone enjoyed their time. Quiet neighborhood is delightful.

Really nice stay at Palmetto Dunes

Overall really nice stay at Palmetto Dunes during Memorial Day week. The condo was on the 8th tee box of the George Fazio course which made for some fun morning viewing of people teeing off. They even had bird food for the bird feeder on the back deck. The condo was spacious for me, my wife and my daughter. Easy to bike ride to the beach but a touch far if you wanted to walk, although the best bet was a 2 minute drive and park at the Disney Beach Club. Also, super easy to walk to the pool, which was admittedly a little shady and pretty cold to swim in. A few things we weren't thrilled about: 1) No "house book" to understand certain things like: how to work the tv, what's the code to the pool gate, do we need to strip the beds before leaving, etc. 2) The bathroom sink on the main level (attached to the bedroom on that floor) clogged 24-48 hours into our stay. We found some Drano and contacted the owner. Unbeknown to us, they sent a plumber who we found walking into the condo as we were coming back from the pool. It was a little concerning as my daughter was sleeping inside and we weren't aware he was coming over. Bottom line - he fixed the sink and was a super nice guy who was very apologetic for any miscommunication about his coming over. 3) Slight miscommunication for "checkout time". VRBO email was 11am but a subsequent email was 10am. We stayed until 11am without an issue. We would 100% come back and stay there again. It's perfect for our family of 3 and dog.

Good and bad

Great location, well stocked with everything you’d need. Dishes, sheets, every supply you may want but we always needed more spoons and silverware for some reason. Beds were comfortable. Spacious with plenty of parking. A very nice house. Owner helpful. Some minor stuff like furnishings are showing their age, TV set in a awkward location. Major problems were: high cleaning fee but there was sand in the clothes drawers, overall not that really clean. Could not use deck due to pollen season. Quite a surprise when driving in greeted by a guard looking for a pass. Explained the situation then next day had to buy a pass. Need a set of more detailed instructions.

This townhome is in perfect location on a golf course near the beach and biking trails. The neighborhood is very peaceful and the view of the golf course is serene. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed—for us and our dogs!

Awesome beautiful property. Dave was great and communicated well. This place had everything you need-literally. Very dog friendly atmosphere. I loved and miss the morning breakfasts on the deck overlooking the golf course. the bedrooms were huge and my kids loved the upstairs one. Very beautiful safe area and highly recommend renting the bikes-we'll be back that's for sure.

Perfect unit for relaxation

Easy booking experience. Property is in a great location - right on the golf course. Very relaxing sitting on deck watching the golfers. Convenient location to all Palmetto Dunes and Sheltet Cove has to offer. Unit was equipped with everything a person needs : beach towels, chairs, great cookware, washer/dryer etc. perfect for 2 couples or family with one bedroom each level plus a loft area. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying there again

Great location and comfortable home

This was a quiet and comfortable home with a fully stocked kitchen. The furniture could use some updating to really take advantage of the great layout and views of the golf course. The communication process was a little clunky at the beginning as I didn’t receive check-in information until I asked but Dave was really responsive once I let him know. We enjoyed our stay!

Accurate Listing

Great location just a 7 min bike ride to the beach (park at the Disney House), beautiful covered patio on the golf course, plenty of space for your belongings, office area in the loft equipped with a computer, phone and printer if needed, and such a great pool for the entire family (separate 1 ft for the littles). This was our 2nd trip to HHI and our 1st in Palmetto Dunes. Already planning for our 2022 trip!

All the extras are there!

We had not rented through VRBO and were not 100% sure what to expect. For our first experience, it's going to be hard to beat! I was constantly thinking I wanted to pack light but wanted to have "my stuff". If you rent this place, everything you need to live at this villa for a week is there. Of course you have the necessities like sleeping accommodations, dishes, etc. But you also have a Ninja blender, Calphalon cookwear, gas grill, puzzles/puzzle table, board games, beach chairs, towels. washer/dryer etc.... EVERYTHING IS THERE! We cannot speak more highly of our stay and what was available for our use. Despite being a villa attached to another unit, we didn't hear anything. It was quiet and secluded yet close to everything.

Golfers dream

Excellent location on the Fabio 1st fairway and green and 18th tee box how perfect is that. Villa is very light and bright out of any distractions but close to everything. Stay if you can you will not be disappointed.

Why they chose this property

This villa feels so much bigger than the square footage of the floor plan. It is open and airy with lots of sunlight pouring through the many windows. As it is at the end of a dead end road, it is also relatively quiet given a lack of passing traffic. The golf views are unsurpassed in Palmetto Dunes, and you can watch (and interact with, if you choose) golfers passing by the deck. The cart paths double as bike or walking paths before and after the course closes for play.

What makes this property unique

Forget the beach towels? No problem, we have some for you to use! The same goes for beach chairs and other beach and pool toys. If your budget for restaurants is limited, just fire up the gas grill and enjoy your meal(s) outside on the deck. We try to make your vacation stress-free!
